@fuckronaldreagan I didn't claim that the overall level of crime had risen, I claimed that blacks commit more violent crimes on average than whites which is backed up by the crime statistics from the FBI which show that blacks are on average 10x more likely to commit crime than whites.

I am not debating the fact that I have white privilege, maybe I do. But my point is I live in England, white people are the indigenous people of this country and as such should be privileged.

@fuckronaldreagan I think the point is that children are biased towards whites and that is bad, my point is that in Europe there is nothing wrong with being biased towards whites the same way that in Africa there is nothing wrong with being biased towards Africans or Chinese in China. My point is that as the native people of England we should have rights over and above any other group.

@Nicoleiia i guess thats why hes being interviewed...knowing how hard it is i dont judge him....i know many black people who have struggled with identity and self worth based on the outer surface! parents assume that the images we see/hear wont effect us as long as you tell your kid you love them then thats it!

@TheHollyweirdFiles True.. I think this "self hate" amongst black youth and black people is really sad. Unfortunately, its too big of a problem for it to be fixed. Its here with us to stay forever. Thats just my opinion.

@Nicoleiia EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's one of those men who I never see with a black woman. He always has a mixed race or racially ambigious, ligther skinned woman on his arm. I found him so hypocritical here. I acknowlegde that the women he's with may simply fit his personality but it's still clear that he would probably have pointed at a black barbie if asked which one was ugly. Ugh!

@Missbookgirl1 Yes, always...Even though this whole "doll test" effects all black children. When those black children grow up, the BOYS seem to be the ones most affected. Hence, all these black men choosing ONLY light skinned or white females. So for me, what John Legend is talking about is a mute point. He sounds educated, but at the end of the day, he's still colorstruck like most black men are. how sad.

wow. this was a good documentary. im black 16 years old and i was taught to not judge people by their shade of skin but by there personality and SOMETIMES actions. and when i was younger, i figured the kids my age thought the same way. Watching this i cant imagine what the children said in the 1990s. Parents need to step it up. If you feel a certain way about a race then thats fine but dnt corrupt your child's way of think towards others (not saying the parents in the video were)

as a child I was a military brat.I can remember in san antonio the history books in elementry depicted hispanics negatively.When I was in cali the books then depicted asians negatively & when I was in Tenn. it depicted blacks negatively.I think this was done purposely to have the minorities beaten down early as kids and targeted in areas where those minorities were most poplulated.This is a larger issue and should be studied with a different approach than just a lack of social diversity.

@JamesWright10PHR I agree with that too! TV plays a much more higher role in this than anything else and it is experienced in life maybe almost the same level. TV/Movies = 10 Life = 7 everyone has different experiences, Magazines = 9, Home = 8, I am guessing as to what or who has the most influence on a scale 1 being the less of an influence and 10 being the most influencial. I could be off a bit, but it seems to be that way.
