it´s about making the song your own and not about imitating the original! She definitely made it her own. It sounds absolutely great, I love both this earlier version and now the current version she is doing as the first encore of her gigs. thank you very much for posting!

original version is way better than what katie melua can do , more powerfull and touching. Alan Wilson`s voice is just outstanding ,like the Canned Heat band. You dont mess with this guys and there music .
