hmmm for a 5850 and at that resolution avg fps seems a bit low man ( was expecting 80-90 fps if not more ). Unless of course enabling Dx11 makes such a big impact

11 has alot of new features the main ones that you will notice in this game are the water effects and cloth tessalation but it also improves the wire frame on some things by alot like 10000x as many triangles just search for dx11 benchmark and you should be able to find the video that shows the difference in wire frames from 10-11

i didn't compared it, but i saw some tests, and DX 9 is around 20 fps superior than DX 11 ( test with HD 5870, so the HD 5850 will be around the same thing...).

I can see the differences. The water and HDR effects are so good! I hope cryengine 3 will use DX11.

I'm not so optimistic as you. Dx11 is only (for now) for Ati graphics cards and Crysis is Nvidias game

@JTCPingas09 game should work fine with DX10. I'm pretty sure DirectX11 is backwards compatible.

DX11 is backwards compatible with DX10 - so there is no reason to support DX10 - when essentially DX11 supports all the features 10 has. When you're using 11 and you only have 10 hardware, you just don't receive the DX11 extras. The main DX11 difference is the post-processing tech. It's a pretty huge difference.
