  • Two things.... why do you think we keep hearing the airplane overhead at the end? Second... what do you think he is thinking as he stares out the window at the end?

  • yet, no adequate replacement to Kieslowski i hope that one day someone will appear.

  • En las tres protagonistas aparece su respectivo color cuando las enfocan...muy sutilmente...que genial toda la trilogia.

  • I wonder... Was it his intention (I mean only in part; the Trilogy is much more rich in nuances than my comment is meant to address) to highlight that the Enlightenment values (Liberty: Positive & Negative. Equality: in relationships, before our imperfect Law, perceived of Nations, in possessing Capital & with it it's corollary, Power. Fraternity (Sorority): our personal Boundaries and those of our fellow humans) have their seeds in European Christian (or it's rejection)?

  • if you dont cry after watch the movie you are probably a robot.

  • PERFECT!!!

  • Is this movie available on line anywhere???to watch

  • I love Kieslowsky movies

  • Julie & Olivier & Karol Karol & Dominique & Valentine. I love this ending! Makes you wonder many things at the same time.

  • I have to pause multiple times watching these scenes(DVD). They are just too many to apprehend at one time.

    Hats off to Kieslowski!

  • The stage scene. The stage scene. Where the camera follows the DROP.

    Whew.

  • The survivors of the ship that sank corresponds to a baptism (in water). Kieslowski always used Biblical allusions. If they survive their "baptism" then they have love in their hearts!

  • Majstersztyk

  • I saw this film for the first time last night, having watched Blue and White in previous weeks. Stunning. Magnificent. Cinema at its very finest. Reminded me how wonderful life and love are.

  • The music, OMG, the music!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A MASTERPIECE ... Irène Jacob <3 <3

  • ooooolala

  • Hats off to Kieslowski - the trilogy is much more than a masterpiece!!

  • I remember the first time I saw this in the theatre. The silence in the cinema was unbeliavable. I was paralysed by true fear that Valentine was not one of the survivors. When I saw that she was alive it was like a bomb of joy exploding in my heart. Then a second bomb exploded, when the meaning of the whole trilogy become clear. A miracle created by the greatest director ever: Kieslowski.

  • Explain that meaning.

  • Theres a terrible accident involving a cruise ship.. Everyone on board dies except 9 people who turn out to be all the main character from The triliogy this film is a part of (three colors: blue white red) the last shot of The female lead valentine (a model) has her for the first time in the movie seeing her neighbor who seems to be the man destined for her, at the same time they meet the film stops with the two in a postion identical to a big campain she did called "a breath of life"

  • Everything you said is spot on. The theatre was completely silent during the ending when I saw it to. I think it's the greatedt film ever made. I know that's a bold statement but, to me, it's true. I've seen it probably 50 times and see something different or something I missed each time I watch. I reccommend "THE DECALOGUE", Kieslowskis 10 short films based on the 10 Commandments. You'll love it.

  • This film is a masterpiece...

  • I agree with You!

  • One of the greatest films ever made.

  • Poetry in images.

Just love the way he put all things toghter, but still individual.

  • beautiful and amazing!

  • A masterpiece.

  • Non ho parole ... un genio.

  • Film Rosso è un'opera d'arte

  • brillante!!!!!!!! sorprendente!!!!!!!!!
