Religion is a tool to keep people in check, to follow a set of "rules". I believe having faith in something is always good, but not when people are given lies from religion when there is no god. This counts for all religions.

A proof doesn't necessarily need to be testable--it only needs to be irrefutable. Have you never heard of an axiom?

There is no god. I grew up in a Catholic family and went to Catholic grammar school and Catholic high school. I fail to see where this god is. I don't understand why Catholics say that he is loving. I fail to see where this "loving" god is. My cousin was born with useless arms and leg and she died a slow death when she was one year old. I see kids in the hospital with cancer going through so much pain. So I understand how your "god" works. God was made up to give people something to believe in.

Really I believe the biggest problem is missing some sort of spiritual guidance. Spirituality teaches self respect and for others, discipline, self love and for others, understanding, strength, mercy, grace, compassion, protection, inspiration, forgiveness, peace, joy, wisdom, guidance, to act in a decent manner and to not swear anymore. Proverbs and the 4 gospels are full of knowledge and life lessons. So I would advice to pick up a bible and soak up the wisdom.
Well with prayer, meditation, worship, striving for inner peace and discovering inner self there always has to be some sort of power, or god involved. This power has to come from somewhere.

If god is real then why was he such a cry baby having temper tantrums and "now-a-days" hands out miracles to a select FEW?
How is it so hard to come to the conclusion that there is no god?
I grew up in a very religious catholic family that was always taught me about god and why I should believe, I remember having all these questions that couldn't be answered without feeling obligated to believe. I gave it up at 6 and didn't tell anyone till I was 16.

Also i dont get some of the bible storys?, are we supposed to believe a old man rounded up to of every animal ( by the way humans today have yet to discover all of them yet even today) and built a boat big enough to hold them all on his own and spirituality?

The Bible says "Great is the mystery of Godliness," so we will never fully understand his power. It's to great for our minds to take in. It does take great faith to live for God, but I don't think it was an accident people found scrolls what is now called the Bible!
first off, that's not the biblical interpretation of hell it's dante's.
second, you're creating a simplified god which you presume we are capable of understanding. there's no reason we would have the knowledge or comprehension which could understand the workings of god. the interpretation is over simplistic
Third, once you read hebrew of the old testament you will stop overemphasizing words. your translation isn't accurate ie Jealousy, hate, loathing, etc. also, curiousness is never used.

A proof doesn't necessarily need to be testable--it only needs to be irrefutable. Have you never heard of an axiom?

I fail to see where this "loving" god is. My cousin was born with useless arms and leg and she died a slow death when she was one year old. @BreakingxBenjamin217 The main reason i started believing in God is because i noticed that man has taking a path where because of greed we are all going to die, if there is no God then we are all going to kill each other for the sake of pursuit of Worldly things. and is not like God wants you to burn! but if you die and you choose to purse physical and fleshy things, you will be separated from his grace leaving you in the hands of the devil..people talk like they know God and have no clue

See the thing is, if you believe in a god, you believe in a devil.
If you don't believe in a god, you can't believe in a devil.
If you believe in one then you have to believe in the other.

@sickle24 I agree with you. Science has some more logic to it. The biggest thing I regret in life is my mother sending me to Catholic school. It was a waste of time learning about a god that I don't even believe in. But no Catholic college for me. I'm not wasting time learning about this god.

And as for those who say they were shown heaven and that they talked to god, THOSE were either hallucination or drugs. I can go get high right now and then make a video saying I talked to god. It doesn't make it true though.

I hope you understand that you actually prove there's a God lol. There two sides to your curiosity GOD or NO GOD. Every human being knows there is a God but believing there's not is an idea and once you entertain it, yourself seek for reason to prove it. But that's the opposite you need to be trying to understand who God is and how he works, you have to study it not read it. he says if u look for me you shall find me. but your not going to find what u don't want. its a Spiritually thing.

How many star systems have you visited? There are a lot out there. What you are doing is called the appeal to ignorance. You don't know how the world was created so you say: god did it. Not understanding how the world was made is not evidence for god.

@6feetdownedge Well that is a tall order as universes being made isn't soemthing we observe happen every day. The truth is we don't know for certain how it was made and that's the best we got. But I'm more willing to bet on scientific speculation before assuming a magical all powerful crazy infinitely complex man created it. If god was the first cause who created him? If nobody, if he's special, then why not apply that quality to a non intelligent cause also? I still see no evidence.

@Khyrid you always start with one beginning to everything. you cant have infinite amount of creators. similar to dominoes falling, you need the first one to push the next to start everything going, you cant have an infinite amount of dominoes, its just not possible. There had to be one creator who created everything else. Evolution is also impossible! How come we haven't found any legitimate fossils of these " half ape-half man" people who you say we evolved into over time?

@6feetdownedge How do you know everything starts with one beginning? Humans didn't, Life didn't, Earth didn't, our system didn't, galaxy didn't, universe probably didn't. Things are complex. Every beginning we observe in nature is the result of many complex systems working together over time. Your use of the word "always" implies that there are many examples of a singular cause in nature. 'Where did it come from' splinters always into a tree of questions.

For example I used to think the man made global warming was all bullshit, but after being showed evidence I had to admit it very well may be accurate. Where we both can agree is that what ever started our universe probably always existed. Where we disagree is if that cause was intelligent or just a natural process.

Really I believe the biggest problem is missing some sort of spiritual guidance. Spirituality teaches self respect and for others, discipline, self love and for others, understanding, strength, mercy, grace, compassion, protection, inspiration, forgiveness, peace, joy, wisdom, guidance, to act in a decent manner and to not swear anymore. Proverbs and the 4 gospels are full of knowledge and life lessons. So I would advice to pick up a bible and soak up the wisdom.

I don't and i'm happy and comfortable with that. I find a god looking over me very creepy. If they're is such a god i think us as people would be very vain and pretentious he cares THAT much about us anyway. I grew up in a very religious catholic family that was always taught me about god and why I should believe, I remember having all these questions that couldn't be answered without feeling obligated to believe. I gave it up at 6 and didn't tell anyone till I was 16.

My grandpa who I have never known, was proclaimed dead for a half hour from a motorcycle accident. During that time he had something like a vision where he was told he was gonna be given a second chance for him and his family to find truth. Thankfully, we have!! There is a God and I Know It!! There are people in our church who were lost in drugs, thank God they are delivered and have children being raised to know the truth!! All of you can NOT say there is no God for I have a testimony!!!!!

no disrespect but I do not understand how some people can say they believe in god yet cannot really prove anything?, u arnt supposed to believe in evolution yet its been basically proven? yet nothing has been proven in the bible?. Jesus apparently was a real man and they found his tomb, but how did he get the tittle of the son of god?. I personally think that people talked him up a tad, he prob was just a really nice generous person which was rarely seen in the past

@chadwick0091 Because I've watched some of the things happen in my life that the Bible describes. Also, (and this may not soud like a legitiment reason for you but..) in my heart I know it's true. It does take great faith to live for God, but I don't think it was an accident people found scrolls what is now called the Bible!
