Fios in Poughkeepsie, NY told me 20/10 is $80+ a month. Complete rip off on prices. The US people are being raped and over charged! Bring prices down where belong!
we have speeds like this in the united states BUT they are the highest priced internet services you can find...for instance verizon wants you to pay $200 for their 150/35 internet service...while in romania they pay 8 euros a month for 75+ down speeds...pure ripoff
@DocHavoc0512 Thats about $50 less than our most expensive 1000/100Mbps. We got one town with 1/1Gbps thru PirateISP, that one is about $80. All with no caps.
@DocHavoc0512 its very hard to find it though... usually a 100mbit in usa will cost more than 500 a month. bandwidth is VERY expensive in the usa.. its best to host servers in europe, than the usa. It will most likely be cheaper.. and you could even start your own hosting company just with telia prolly.. or pirateisp.
@anemozen Jag har 100/100 och haft ett bra tag nu. Videon här är ju ifrån 2009. 100/10 kostar ju som vilket 24Mbps ADSL som helst, så det är ju inte jättedyrt precis. Längtar tills 1000/100 blir tillgängligt i vår fastighet :)
@leaf16nut If your download source is slow, your download will be slow. What about the router if you have any, can it handle 100Mbps throughput? 3Mb/s is 3000Kb/s but also note that 3Mb/s is 375KB/s.
It's just a shitty router from Bell... 2wire 2701HG-G [some specs say 10/100 with superG wifi]... I have an ethernet cable from the router to my PC which says its 100mbps connection speed.
I've downloaded at 700Kbps a website, the next month I only download at 400... But never anything close to what the websites say... I'm guessing its my router, as my buddy has the exact same router, internet etc and DL's at the same speeds...
@goodigel151151 Dem börja rulla ut det för ett par månader sedan. Finns inte här än dock. Kostar 999kr/månad och det är inte ens åt båda hållen som med t.ex. PirateISP.
@6Hellbilly6Deluxe6 B and b is two different things, correct. You allways write in bits when talking about bandwidth. A regular 1Gbps home connection would have a max download speed of 125Mbyte/s.
I thought less Mbps was better 100.0 Mbps is not fast is it???? And does it normally take over 10 hours or more to download a 4.GB game from Direct2Drive??
@MRTVHERO1 Where the fuck did I say wrong then? 57,31Mb is about 7,1MB i know! 100Mbps connection get you at most about 12,5MB/s becous the switch in the appartment-building basement cant handle more. PM with the answer on where I was wrong, I know my stuff! You ALWAYS write in Mbps about bandwitdh.
@TheHabadu All Telia-customers in sweden gets 1Gbps connection soon. The last 6 years, only one city had 1Gbps on test. 100Mbps have been around for a long time.
@TheHabadu Average yes... Theres alot of ppl here that dont have fast internet, like all old ppl and then comes those with bad connection. ADSL with very far to the nearest phone thingy. And then you have slow mobile broadband like 6 and 16Mbps.
You left out the dates when the information is calculated from. If they monitored since 15 years back when we got modems, then those will take the avg. speed down.
100mbs is crazy, in the uk were lucky to get 10, although most companys say 2ombs. The best is virgins new copper optic which goes to 50. Uk is so far behind
For the record. 4G has been released with starting at up to 50Mbps. At the next stage it will be avaible at 80Mbps which is very good for Mobile internet.
@js111410 Between 10/20 up to 50/40 depending on the load of the sea cables. Which allways seams overloaded to America. Also the download is often slower than the upload is over seas.
Från Telia som jag har kostar det 339kr. Från BBB kostar det 320kr. Och från Comhem 399kr. Beror ju på vad man har för något i lägenheten, man kan ju inte bara välja hur som helst.

Is Clear Wire a mobile broadband isp? lol. Here you can get 10Mbps down and 4,6Mbps up with mobile broadband. So far... Everything is going so fast, we already have Gigabit internet for end-users in one town, and will problaby spread soon. In datacentre you can get up to 10Gbps connection.
HOLY SHIT!! I wish they would REALLY push for those kinda of speeds in the USA. im stuck on a freakin 10mbps down and 768kb up line.... and im paying $75 for it...

Lol, Dial-up = GSM. GPRS is next, then 3G which is UMTS (HSDPA = up to 21Mbps) and then comes 4G which uses LTE and can have speeds of over 150Mbps on mobile. Wikipedia it and u will see. Stockholm, sweden and Oslo, Norway was first to introduce it to public last year.
Telia was owned by the government until 2000. Telia is the company that owns all Sweden phone lines. Telenor is one of the 3 largest mobile phone operator in sweden.
