I've just been dx with a partial focal tear of the supraspinatus. After steriod injection, my right shoulder has little pain, it has always had full ROM, but there is a constant poping at the AC joint as I flex pass 90 degrees. I am a paid athelete and the popping and slight pain is throwing me off. I only have real pain when I try to weight train by pulling anything forward or over my head. I'm trying to finish the season without surgery but I have to decide by May. What would you suggest?

i didnt need to have this OP in the end as it turned out that i also had an underlying condition which when treated rectified my shoulder also thank god .

I learned they fill the shoulder up with fluid so they can see with the scope. That's why the procedure appears to be in water.
