Another great video. Fishing like this with my dad when I was a kid has kept me out of a lot of trouble. 30 years later I'm showing my boys the same thing. Get a kid into fishing and hunting when their young and you never have to worry about them. Well almost never!
@Michiganoutdoors1 Strikemaster 7" manual auger. ultralight rods with spring bobber on it,minows on a drop shot on erie - small tungsten jigs with grubs, hali jig with waxworms and swedish pimple with spikes if i'm deep
Do those vexilar fish finders really help that much because I go now and seem to catch around 30 perch btw me and a buddy. Don't really have to much trouble finding the fish but do hit alot of small ones. U think there worth the buy?
@Josh4663 i think so .you can at least determine if theres fish below you or suspended or fish that swim up and just look at your bait - with out a vex you woulsd never know they were there even if theyre not biting
@ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE Love the vids man keep up the good work. You should plan a trip to Oneida Lake, lots of slob perch and crappies not to mention a good population of wallys (thats if we get ice this year lol)
@UGLYSTIKCOLIN so far i like it -comfortable to fish in not to bulky and i never really got cold and nice to have the added piece of mind that it floats

Perch are a great tasting fish!!
They really don't get too big unless they are jumbos but even they are fairly small.
Perch is one of my favs to eat.
I am going grocery shopping (ice fishing) next week and am hoping for pickerel or perch.
