Glad I dicovered you. First viewed you do "Brandy", have mercy. Do you do any Howard Roberts covers? I would love to get started on "Smokin'", but its not out there that i can find. As for sheet music, I've got Mel Bays Howard Robert's collection, but no really good cuts from "HR is a Dirty..:
thanks for the comment. i too have the h.r. book, and it is a great resource, although i have picked up a few small errors here and there, which is inevitable, i guess. with that said, i've had a lot of fun with the book. on my own i've figured out bits and pieces of stuff i've dug, but only a few complete tunes. i did 'a taste of honey' with my old trio, and might post it one day. h.r' was incredible, and those albums are a lot of fun.
Very nice! Liked the alternating bass line and it had a good 'chime' sound to it. Sounded like a 'delta' blues almost. THX for your post, enjoyed it a lot.
very nice, i got the electromatic with the red face and black back. its aright, could use some new pickups but i don't know were to get hollow body pickups, they don't sell them anywhere. this was good though, deffinetly a tune you need to play with those shades on ; )
i've played those. nice guitars for the money. you might look at duncan, dimarzio or even gretsch. they're a weird size, but someone must make them....
i always credit the shades to howard roberts, #1 on my all time list.
Long enough that I should be better! I started at 7, in 1967, with a local teacher, and just stayed with it. But really, I'm a fan at heart. Love listening to everything, but my faves are the old jazz guys, the classic rock guys, and the Chet style pickers. So many tunes, so little time....
born in nyc. i have posted some originals, but the most hits are the covers. name recognition i guess. lot of originals on my cds as well. those seem to get more downloads, not sure why.
Thanks T&M. I've never really worked out a lot of 'stuff' on this one. Just kind of play it like this at gigs and it seems to find it's own groove. Some tunes just play themselves. (B.t.w....what is 5/5?)
Are there tabs available for this song?

Great job, sounds good! Wish I could get my thumb to do the Chet Atkins deal, I have to cheat it with a flat pick. Very cool.
