  • I'm a little late on this, but side to side movement is bad tie rods, up and down is bad bearings.

  • that suspension eats ball joint/tie rods control arms like crazy.... have a professional like me look at it or u crash and burn

  • seems to be a fairly common issue on the LX's

  • yea man, thats a tie rod end for sure, but take it to an allignment problem to be sure that they aren't masking another more serious problem like bearings, or ball joints

  • yo man, that is definately 100% bad bearings, i have exact condition, but yours is worse. Whoever is saying anything else, is waaaay off. If you wanna chk bad tie rods, entirely different symptoms: (see if you have steering wheel "slack" as tie rods is most related with that component. I see this is old video, just wondering what have you done to resolve so far + maybe u can offer assistance for me: how does bad bushings sound like/ symptoms, thx.

  • I think its the control arm bushing(rubber).

  • up and down could also be a ball joint... not sure why noone mentioned that.

  • That's really fuckin' scary man. That's potentially life-threatening. You could've died driving that thing.

  • That's Chrysler reliability for ya. I swore myself to never buy another Chrysler product since my last one. It was nothing but transmission problems.

  • shut the fuck up yidcap. it's a tie rod end ffs not the end of the world.

  • Thats a bad Wheel Bearing not a tie rod...

Shake the wheel horizontally, then vrtically.

Vertically means Tie Rod, Horizontally means Bearing

  • actually its horizontally (left and right) is tie rod, vertically (up and down) is bearings.

Helps to think about what the tie rod does and how it doesn't do anything up and down.

sorry to post this, just dont want anyone else to have a problem later and mess up.

  • its a bad tie rod end.

  • lol, i think the tie rods are loose from the factory. our local chrysler dealer has 300 of them on order.

  • i love the 300s there realy sharp looking

  • Outer Tie rod ends are common on 2005-2006 Magnums, 300's and Chargers, Inner tie rod ends nearly as common, and are replacable now. Haven't seen any bad ones on 2007 and newer models yet.

  • man that's some play, thats not good. you have a lot of miles on it or something, bad tie rods already?

  • check tension struds
