  • Should this be visible in the night sky tonight or tomorrow?

  • @dunskie it's an object that's a mile in size and did I say it was a million+ kilometers away? I can't remember now, but unless you have a good telescope you won't see much and you'll have to know where to look. I've heard that it might pass between the earth and moon this time so maybe have a look there.

  • JPL Transversal Earth Distances From (PN9)

    Not Corresponding Accurately

  • @sings2jesus even if this object hit earth it wouldn't do much at all. This object is mostly rock (which will burn up in the atmosphere) and although I cannot work out the exact mass I could come up with a rough estimation, I then put that estimation into a collision calculator and the result was minuscule a volcano on earth would have more effect than this object. You can do the same, the info needed is in the potential earth hazard link and look on google for a collision calculator.

  • ... ASTEROID FLYBY: Newly-discovered asteroid 2011 CA7 is going to fly past Earth on Feb. 9th only 63,000 miles away, or 1/4th the distance to the Moon. At closest approach around 1700 UT, the VW-Bug-sized space rock will zip through the constellation Orion glowing like a 17th magnitude star.

    ~yes sir, nothing to worry about as every thing that is know is all that one need be concerned about; why waist tax dollars on the sciencew of survival when it could be spent on war & destruction ? lol?

  • @docatomics ZOMG! An object that will exert about zero gravitational force will whizz by the earth a mere 63,000 miles away? Your parents must have really cleaned up by not having to pay for an education for you. That's about 2 and half times around the Earth's equator. So no, nothing to worry about, go back to watching Fox news.

  • @AtheistAussie ....oh my fucking dogs (the whole pack has gone into heat and I am up before the sun) what have they done to you all down under now ?

    What manner o stupidfying ray or chem trail have they inflicted the natural stronghold of common sense sarcastium which had been ever so diligently bread into peinal colony down under, or where you from the queens keeper squad, the prison staff crowd ? or a did you migrate there from the states after they pull you from out under a rock like me ?

  • @AtheistAussie ...or where you refer to the deadlygreen cynide compounds or conductive metallics some of these otherwise benign little interlopes can shed when warmed up as they graze the magneto sphere;

    ~or did you miss that episode of mox news while watching foxes ZOMG each other up the hiny ?

  • @docatomics It's ok, I misunderstood what you typed, I apologise unreservedly.

  • @docatomics My apologies if I read your comment wrong, now I re-read it I'm not sure how to take it.. but I might have misinterpreted what you said. Regardless, that comet has already gone past us.

  • its not enough im not sure if they would really put planet x on spaceweather. but i do think planet x is pushing a lot of crap towards us.

  • @ZigyZ7788 "pushing a lot of crap towards us." lol too true.

  • Thank you. You gave me my first good laugh in a while. I tried to make it through the original video earlier today, but gave up at the half-way mark (although I did linger a few seconds longer trying to pinpoint the guy's accent). Your condensing method is very effective and should be adopted by more youtubers.

  • @prodigaldaughter99 I'm glad I could make some one laugh :-)

  • I'm fairly sure Neil deGrasse Tyson has spoken about this a long time ago.

  • @TheTomtompiper Now that you've mentioned it I just found a vid of him speaking about it on the ForaTV Youtube channel from February 13, 2009.
