This is what you sound like after eating Monsanto foods for a day. After 1 week you are simply braindead & after 1 month you are a robot. After 1 year you are well & truly fucked & ready for the scrap yard behind the hospital.
It's all about good advertising. I was at the public library 2 weeks ago and they had an exhibit of poster ads from 60 yrs ago promoting cigarettes. Doctors were endorsing menthol cigarettes claiming it can cure sore throat and lung infections. I'm sure people believed them. After all, why would doctors mess with your health. LOL
lol, way to beat the "nature can be bad" thing to death. The only thing bad about organic that you cited was bacteria in manure fertilizer, which must be aged long enough to mitigate bacteria. Manure isn't even required to grow organically. Due to your amateur lack of research, you have an over-simplified view of organic that you pulled out of your fertilizer maker. How would you rate conventionally grown food that was grown using manure by farmers who can't afford petro-fertilizers anymore?
Any video that can make a broad clanket statement like "Pesticides have never been shown to cause illness," Is clearly only hoping to fool people with their head so far up their but that thy can't even smell the BS as they eat it, from3:40-3:50. This is blatant full of blatant lies and half truths. I seriously empathize the fool that buys into this Monsanto propraganda.
How about you read a bit more about pesticides before posting videos like these? also people will keep buying the cheaper food, nobody really cares that much about organic unless it is cheap or at a "good" price, for example if some non organic food costs 3 dollars and the organic one costs 3.50 people will buy it because eventhough it's more expensive it's not too expensive. But if the organic one costs 4 or 5 or 6 dollars people would not buy it, because it'd still boutsidetheirposibilities
Uhm I really don't get this video, this is sort of stupid, you only talk about how "there is nothing inherently better about NATURAL" yet you never talk about the NON NATURAL and how bad it REALLY is... gee how stupid. Hormones are pretty bad and you obviously haven't really read much about this subject. There are a lot of random things you talk about as "facts" that are really just opinions in all actuality, your whole video looks like an opinion video, rather than based on scientific study.
If all food was grown organically more than half of he US population would die of starvation after a few years. Too many crops grown organically would succumb to things like insects and disease to feed this many people. Just a few hundred years ago there was only organic farming. We have longer life expectancy now because of advances in technology. Please don't think we're better off back in the dark ages.

Where is a study for"If all food was grown organically more than half of he US population would die of starvation after a few years"
Wtf? A seat belt? Pesticides don't cause illness? Uh, yeah they do! Workers have that have been exposed to them are getting sick all the time and even have even died. Children that eat foods with pesticides residues have been proven to suffer from, neurological disorders, hyperactivity and autism. Markers of organic food are proving that it is more nutritious and safe all the time. Stoney Field for instance. Visit the Organic Consumers Association for those who want to learn all about organic!
Organic originally means cultivated with organic salts (live salts). Conventional produce is cultivated with synthetic inorganic salts (dead salts). What this means is that the nutrients in organic produce are ALKALINE in nature while the nutrients in conventional produce is ACIDIC in nature.
.Our bodies need ALKALINE forms of nutrients. ACIDIC forms of nutrients makes is sick.
if it was illegal to grow food non-organically everything would change for the better in no time - we'd all be able to afford a fully organic healthy diet! Right now organic food is just too damn expensive.
@travb35 That's how the free market system works. If everyone ate organic produce and livestock, the price will come down astronomically. The cost of health insurance would go down too because there would be less sick people.
.Check out the comment I left above your original comment.
The green-labeling of foods is one way companies try to get over on you on how their products are NATURAL, yes but when you use pesticides, some can be washed off, but the GMO's are inside of the foods.these pesticides are used too make insects stomach's explode when ingested. Imagine what they do to your stomach. The person whom put this video tangentially tried to add filler argument info to mislead someone that could be watching this...
Who cares about pesticides and all the talk about organic this and organic that.See,the truth is that it would be virtually imposible to meet the demand and feed a city of raw vegans.Everyone would have to go back to growing there own food, life expectancy will increase-which wouldn't be good for the population control agenda. If the food grows it's alive and what people want to put into their body's is life.I have never eaten organic and I dramatically improved my health.Higher cost cut demand.
Do you suppose this is some kind of experiement or project? No one really buys this original video hype and it seems to be posted with anonymity. Makes me suspicious.
Many people are commenting with hate and rude comments. Thank you for not being one of them.

@tiselput I posted some studies, so just in case anyone actually questions your question, you will not have to waste your time responding to their ignorance. Unfortunately there are actually people who have been brainwashed into believing pesticides reduce cancer risk 30,000% and all sorts of crazy, anti-science, nonsense. I'm glad to see you are not one of them.
@myndy86 BTW, excellent job overwhelming braeden[posilac]cowbrough! (My comments were addressing a DESPERATE need to once & for all get our terminology exact-for SCIENCE, we put up with such CRAP in nutrition, which is my focus in practice, research&classes as well; In the USA we have TILTH&similar orgs but we need concrete terminology. Physics experts precisely define QUARKS but we cannot assign definitions for nutrition, let alone sort bogus herbal remedy bollocks-Agent Orange hard at work!)
The scam is inside your corrupted, dead souls!! Your extreme greed impels you to spread lies about organic foods. When all you think about is money..you're pathetic life is a bad joke!
You sound mentally ill and and perceive a soullessness in what you say. You make me laugh with your F'n BS!!!!! Want an organic cucumber in your f'n saggy ass, you scum-suckin' ass-wipe?!!!Maybe then, you'll learn to appreciate the benefits of organic foods. You're vaccines and medications are profitable for pharmaceutical companies and Monsanto corporations, but that's for the naive, idiotic people who always eat conventional, processed foods(containing GMOs) who will eventually die painfully.
@Svenmaro There will be rallies throughout the U.S. on 10/16/11 to get mandatory labeling of all products containing genetically engineered/modified organisms.
Go to "Millions Against Monsanto World Food Day 2011" on facebook, for more information.
Go to the "organicconsumers" website to sign petitions.
Type "Millions Against Monsanto Campaign 2011" in the youtube search
@Svenmaro you do not understand vaccines, medications, genetically modified foods or organic foods. Organic food has never been shown to provide any additional nutrient source. Organics generally do not support local farmers and typically use land less efficiently. There is no possible way to feed the world with organic practices. GMO's have saved BILLIONS of lives. Vaccines have saved likely close to a BILLION lives. If you want to actually know about vaccines I can help.

@braedencowbrough GE crops typically use land less efficiently "GE crops require both refuges and buffer zones and organic does not. The UN report IAASTD says GE yields are sometimes higher and sometimes lower, so GE crops yields do not make up for the extra land used. Austrian politician Jorg Leichtfried says "if we would use these modified plants and have 300 meter zones to protect others, half of our acres wouldn't function anymore, so half of our production may be not functioning anymore."
@myndy86 The other thing is there's a big difference between genetically engineered and genetically modified organisms. MOST crops are genetically engineered. The only ones certified as NOT GE are "heirloom" and that's up for debate most places, as most heirloom seeds are ironically owned by Monsanto&a few other uber-wealthy! Terminology gets confused between nations, but GMO is what uses land inefficiently(it grows poorly; it was always to give Monsanto total power over soy/corn/cotton/canola.)
@braedencowbrough "Today's scientific evidence demonstrates that agroecological methods outperform the use of chemical fertilizers in boosting food production where the hungry live- especially in unfavorable environments.""To date agroecological projects have shown an average crop yield increase of 80% in 57 developing countries, with an average increase of 116% for all African projects." srfood.org/index.php/en/component/content/article/1174-report-agroecology-and-the-right-to-food

@myndy86 I'm all for organic--it is important for the environment... The issue they can't/don't control for is who's growing organic. The upfront cost is significantly higher and those farming with organic measures have always had more staff, better wages, better health in workers, more workers, more profit (organic does not mean pesticide-free as this idiot bot voice on the video claims, just that the pesticides are organic, which makes them safe for the ocean/ground... not always for us).
@braedencowbrough "Organic farming can yield up to three times as much food as conventional farming on the same amount of land.""in developed countries, yields were almost equal on organic and conventional farms. @braedencowbrough You said "GMO's have saved BILLIONS of lives", that is completely false. In fact, UN report, International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology Development by 400 scientists, concluded that GE crops have very little potential to alleviate poverty and hunger, and can potentially increase hunger and poverty in poor countries, where most hunger and poverty occur. Several UN reports suggest organic farming can reduce hunger and poverty in poor countries.
@Svenmaro Let's clear this up, as there's a HUGE difference. VACCINES do in fact save lives. If you saw the hype re:vaccines&autism, PLEASE be aware that was DEBUNKED (yet it spreads-it feeds on FEAR). The doctor who published it MADE UP THE DATA & is permanently barred from medicine! Vaccines are NOT linked AT ALL but pregnant women's diets matter. Vaccines are important.DEADLY disease you've maybe never seen[measles, rubella]is re-emerging&KILLING unprotected infants-toddlers.Monsanto SUCKS but
@Svenmaro but measles/mumps/rubella/chicken pox are NOT things caused by DIET!! They are caused by us living in close proximity to animals. Domestication&overpopulation created epidemics-cattle/fowl/swine/game spread it by simple CONTACT, not even eating in many cases; contact can also be w/SOIL they poop in.Vaccines=CHEAP; MM&R=DEATH:pharm cos get under $40 for 12 vials of complete vaccines for school kids+CP+tetanus.Processed food=deadly, yes; so are the diseases vaccines made you NOT die from!
Of course, only a computer voice would spew this drivel. I live in France, and fresh grown organic fruits and vegetables abound.. People are healthy and happy, and the food tastes delicious..you comparing not wearing a seat belt, to not eating processed food..is ludicrous! Google 'Argentina & Monsanto', and you'll read all about pesticides ruining lives and causing birth defects..
@DavidCKendall I for one agree strongly with this video...... In America, at least, part of the reason for the organic boom is that people think organic food is healthier and that it doesn't use dangerous pesticides. But in America at least, not sure about Argentina, but in America our pesticides are some of the safest ever developed by the human race. People here get really scared over that stuff. And as for taste I think produce tastes better because it is simply local, or cultivated carefully
@wiseman152439 Just dig into the Monsanto angle some more please..Do some hard looking at Michael Taylor, his past, and his present position in the FDA. Rocket scientists agree, it looks like money can buy you power, which can lead to influencing the safety of the world food supply. The rush to outlaw organic farming is the most heinous of all.
@wiseman152439 In America, glyphosate is one of the most commonly used herbicides. "glyphosate is toxic to human placental JEG3 cells within 18 hr with concentrations lower than those found with agricultural use""We conclude that endocrine and toxic effects of Roundup, not just glyphosate, can be observed in mammals." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15929894 "
@wiseman152439 "Glyphosate-based herbicides are toxic and endocrine disruptors in human cell lines." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19539684
"Roundup exposure may affect human reproduction and fetal development""Chemical mixtures in formulations appear to be underestimated regarding their toxic or hormonal impact." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17486286
"Glyphosate formulations induce apoptosis and necrosis in human umbilical, embryonic, and placental cells" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19105591
Glyphosate is only dangerous to people only if people injest it in rediculously high dosed, concentrated forms. Realistically, the only way a person can possible receive adverse effects from it is if you eat only glyphosate treated produce your entire life non-stop.
@wiseman152439 Which is what many people do. The huge majority of American farms use glyphosate and most GM crops were designed to be sprayed directly with glyphosate. Many of the same responses found in that EPA report, have also been suggested in animal feeding studies using glyphosate resistant GM foods. Let's look at the EPA report first, then compare. "A subchronic feeding study using rats showed blood and pancreatic effects."
@wiseman152439 "study with mice showed reduced body weight gains in both
sexes at the highest dose levels.""In developmental toxicity studies using pregnant rats and rabbits, glyphosate caused treatment-related effects in the high dose groups including diarrhea, decreased body weight gain, nasal discharge and death. One reproductive toxicity study using rats showed kidney effects in the high dose male pups; another study showed digestive effects and decreased body weight gain."
@wiseman152439 Lt's compare that to glyphosate resistant GM food studies. "Although we cannot exclude that other factors than the presence of the herbicide residues could be responsible for the cellular modifications described in GM-fed mice, the concordance of the effects induced by low concentrations of Roundup on HTC cells suggests that the presence of Roundup residues could be one of the factors interfering with multiple metabolic pathways." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18835430
@wiseman152439 "GM-fed mice of all ages considered, the number of perichromatin granules is higher and the nuclear pore density lower.""we found enlargements in the smooth endoplasmic reticulum in GM-fed mice Sertoli cells." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15718213
"our data suggest that GM soybean intake can influence hepatocyte nuclear features in young and adult mice" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12441651
@wiseman152439 "Several proteins belonging to hepatocyte metabolism, stress response, calcium signalling and mitochondria were differentially expressed in GM-fed mice, indicating a more marked expression of senescence markers in comparison to controls.""hepatocytes of GM-fed mice showed mitochondrial and nuclear modifications indicative of reduced metabolic rate. This study demonstrates that GM soybean intake can influence some liver features" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18648843
@wiseman152439 "This indicates that GM soy protein intake affected pancreas function, evidenced by the early acute PAP mRNA increased levels and pancreas cellular changes followed by recuperation of acinar cells after 30 days." onlinelibrary.wiley"dot"com/doi/10.1002/jat.1319/abstract
@wiseman152439 "Several convergent data appear to indicate liver and kidney problems as end points of GMO diet effects in the above-mentioned experiments. This was confirmed by our meta-analysis of all the in vivo studies published, which revealed that the kidneys were particularly affected, concentrating 43.5% of all disrupted parameters in males, whereas the liver was more specifically disrupted in females (30.8% of all disrupted parameters)." enveurope"dot"com/content/23/1 /10
@wiseman152439 Let's compare. EPA suggests blood, pancreas, kidney, digestive, etc. effects. Glyphosate resistant GM food studies suggest, pancreatic, kidney, testes, liver, etc. effects. Clearly, there are some similarities between these studies. Also, don't forget that this is just one pesticide, there are usually several pesticide residues on each conventional food and most of these pesticides are also found in drinking water as well.
@myndy86 But is that the only reason you want to eat organic food? Because it's not supposed to have pesticides? Regardless of test data, we've been using this pesticide for decades now... You can point out that birth rates have gone down over the last 10 years. But lets keep in mind that you're not PAYING for pesticide free food; your paying for food that is grown without synthetic substances. Including fertilizer and all the other stuff involved. Hell, some organic food is made in China.
@wiseman152439 I eat organic for several reasons some of which are related to health(including reduced or no pesticide residues) "Universitatea de Medicină si Farmacie "Ecological food is tastier and contains more essential amino-acids, vitamin C, and micro-nutriments than usual food" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16610189
@wiseman152439 Universitetet i Oslo "A review of existing literature reveals that organic foods compared to conventionally produced foods seem to have a higher content of antioxidants in plant products and a higher content of fat-soluble vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids in animal products. Animal studies (among them, on rabbits and chickens) show higher fertility and less morbidity in animals fed organically." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15195159
@wiseman152439 Orv Heti "Organic crops contain a significantly higher amount of certain antioxidants (vitamin C, polyphenols and flavonoids) and minerals, as well as have higher dry matter content than conventional ones.""there is a lower level of pesticide residues, nitrate and some heavy metal contaminations in organic crops compared to conventional ones." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17297755
@wiseman152439 French government food safety agency"1/organic plant products contain more dry matter and minerals(Fe, Mg);and contain more anti-oxidant micronutrients such as phenols and salicylic acid,2/organic animal products contain more polyunsaturated fatty acids""4/94–100% of organic food does not contain any pesticide residues, 5/organic vegetables contain far less nitrates" agronomy-journal"dot"org/index.php?option=com_article&access=doi&doi=10.1051/agro/2009019&Itemid=129
@myndy86 The point is, if you want pesticide-free food, don't necessarily go waving the organic-food flag. I'm sure if you want pesticide free food there are less expensive alternatives than organic. And I'm pretty sure that some organic farmers do use non-synthetic pesticides, which have been proven even more dangerous to people and wildlife. Also, I don't think organic food always tastes better than non-organic. Most local farms aren't organic.
@wiseman152439 52% of organic farmers use no pesticides whatsoever, and those that do use significantly less than conventional farmers and more biological pest control like crop rotation, crop cover, predatory insects etc. than conventional. "organic produce carries significantly fewer pesticide residues than conventional produce." nal.usda.gov/afsic/pubs/faq/BuyOrganicFoodsC.shtml
In the French study "4/94–100% of organic food does not contain any pesticide residues"
@wiseman152439 In the U.S. organic food still has some pesticide residue, but it's primarily caused by contamination from conventional farms. "Organically grown foods consistently had about one-third as many residues as conventionally grown foods""Conventionally grown and IPM/NDR samples were also far more likely to contain multiple pesticide residues than were organically grown samples" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12028642
@wiseman152439 As for organic pesticides "there is no objective evidence to support the assertion that natural pesticide residues pose a hazard.""botanical insecticides tend to break down rapidly in the environment, are comparatively non-toxic, and are used by a relatively small fraction of growers""Consequently, these substances are not expected to leave residues in foods." consumersunion"dot"org/pub/core_food_safety/002312.html
@myndy86 Okay. I'll assume that all the studies you site are completely objective and consistent with the majority of other studies. But organic farming is more expensive and takes up more space. Without the invention of genetically modified foods, there would not be enough food to feed the world. Without it, we would only be able to feed 4 billion people. What about the other 3? And thats right now. I guess you could argue that we could dedicate more land to farming. But is it worth it
@"wiseman" - you are duped or you are knowingly parroting the lies of the bio-tech industry
We have been over-producing food for decades without the need for genetic alteration. Altered foods are patented, farmers must pay the most expensive seed prices ever, a technology fee for every planted acre & forbidden by contract to save seed. Gene altered foods are the most nutritionally deficient & contaminated foods we have ever produced
Most farmland on our planet is underutilized by poor farmers
@michael0156 If you haven't noticed, farmers that use synthetic seeds sell their produce for less. So how are you saying that they pay more for it, if they can sell it for less than the organic alternative? And can you find me a study that shows that using a certain seed "contaminates" fruit? What contaminates come from the seed? Food prices are soaring in third world countries, and there are people in the world starving to death, and we "overproduce food"? How does that make sense? Explain.
@"wiseman" You already know the truth, but I will play along
Here's your first reading assignment -
"sustainabletable org"
That website is very readable & looks at fossil fuel use in food production, sustainable ways for us to survive, reasons not to grow or eat gene altered organisms
For a VERY detailed look at the problems of gene alteration go to "psrast org" - They have various levels of complexity from details in layman's terms to articles that geneticists will find informative
@wiseman152439 You said "farmers that use synthetic seeds sell their produce for less." Those same farmers generally get government subsidies(unlike most organic farmers), and do not have to pay extra for certification. Also there is a supply and demand issue, more people want organic than there is organic food so stores can and do sell it for more. continued..
@wiseman152439 National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) survey(for all states in the U.S.) found organic farmers had an estimated average net income of about $20k per farm per year higher than the all-farm figure. This is also means more profit for everyone involved in the processing, sale, etc. of organic food(supermarkets, factories, restaurants, etc.). So, a lawyer may have to pay more for food but the people the people involved in food service, etc., will make more.
@wiseman152439 This is why poor countries should switch to organic instead of using GM. Many of the poor people in those countries are farmers or involved in food shipping, etc. Organic creates more jobs and better paying jobs for the majority of poor people in poor countries. The 2010 data on the worldhunger website states "The world produces enough food to feed everyone.""Poverty is the principal cause of hunger." So, organic would reduce poverty and therefore reduce hunger.
@wiseman152439 "Poverty is a major contributory factor to food security, organic farmers benefit from (i) cash savings, as organic farming precludes the need to purchase synthetic pesticides and fertilisers; (ii) extra incomes gained by selling the surplus produce(resulting from the change to organic); (iii) premium prices for certified organic produce, obtained primarily in Africa for export but also for domestic markets""(iv) added value to organic products through processing"
@wiseman152439 By "a study that shows that using a certain seed "contaminates" fruit?" Do you mean is there contamination of organic or conventional crops by GM crops? "Bayer AG has agreed to settle a lawsuit brought by a group of Texas rice growers over claims the company's experimental biotech rice contaminated the U.S. supply four years ago and decimated exports.""The company still faces thousands of claims"
@wiseman152439 You said "Food prices are soaring in third world countries, and there are people in the world starving to death, and we "overproduce food"? How does that make sense?" There are a lot of reasons for this. A lot of arable African, etc. land has been sold to Western companies, so Africans, etc. are not getting to use some of their land. Other factors are war, if a warlord or soldiers come steal your food you may starve. There is more to it then just food production.
@myndy86 I guess you are right when you point out that economic aspects also acount for hunger and the higher expense of buying organic... I know for a fact that many native African people are forced off their land so to get oil, and that there are shitloads of civil wars. Also I understand that the market changes from varying factors, and how the government artificially props some industries up over others.... So I guess my previous argument under further inspection is void.
@myndy86 Well, if all you say is true, and the studies you sited were factual, then I guess I may have been misinformed. But this is really the first time anyone has pointed these things out... Most of the people I know who eat organic do it because of how its percieved in Media and culture, Not because they looked up a couple hundred studies. I'm not payed by the government, nor am I brainwashed. I simply am a skeptic by heart, and I think most people who agree with this video are too.
@wiseman152439 Organic originally means cultivated with organic salts (live salts).
@myndy86 When Michael Jackson & Lionel Richie did the "We Are The World" song to feed the starving over seas. They raised enough money to fill 12 freighters full of food to send to them. The local governments would only let 3 or the 12 ships dock. They only let them unload 1 ship. The government stole everything they unloaded for themselves.
The real reason there is poverty around the world is because of left wing governments that starve their people to keep them under their control.
@wiseman152439 GM USES TOO MUCH SPACE!! Gm requires both refuges and buffer zones and organic does not. lol, way to beat the "nature can be bad" thing to death.

ACIDIC forms of nutrients makes is sick.
.Just ask any pharmacists, they'll tell you.

Several UN reports suggest organic farming can reduce hunger and poverty in poor countries.

Glyphosate is only dangerous to people only if people injest it in rediculously high dosed, concentrated forms. Realistically, the only way a person can possible receive adverse effects from it is if you eat only glyphosate treated produce your entire life non-stop.
wiseman152439 2 months ago
@wiseman152439 Which is what many people do. The huge majority of American farms use glyphosate and most GM crops were designed to be sprayed directly with glyphosate. Many of the same responses found in that EPA report, have also been suggested in animal feeding studies using glyphosate resistant GM foods. Let's look at the EPA report first, then compare. "A subchronic feeding study using rats showed blood and pancreatic effects."
myndy86 2 months ago
@wiseman152439 "study with mice showed reduced body weight gains in both

@wiseman152439 Lt's compare that to glyphosate resistant GM food studies. Also, don't forget that this is just one pesticide, there are usually several pesticide residues on each conventional food and most of these pesticides are also found in drinking water as well.
myndy86 2 months ago

Most local farms aren't organic.
wiseman152439 2 months ago

But is it worth it
wiseman152439 2 months ago
@"wiseman" - you are duped or you are knowingly parroting the lies of the bio-tech industry
We have been over-producing food for decades without the need for genetic alteration. Altered foods are patented, farmers must pay the most expensive seed prices ever, a technology fee for every planted acre & forbidden by contract to save seed. Gene altered foods are the most nutritionally deficient & contaminated foods we have ever produced
Most farmland on our planet is underutilized by poor farmers
michael0156 2 months ago
@michael0156 If you haven't noticed, farmers that use synthetic seeds sell their produce for less. So how are you saying that they pay more for it, if they can sell it for less than the organic alternative? And can you find me a study that shows that using a certain seed "contaminates" fruit? What contaminates come from the seed? Food prices are soaring in third world countries, and there are people in the world starving to death, and we "overproduce food"? How does that make sense? Explain.
wiseman152439 2 months ago
@"wiseman" You already know the truth, but I will play along
Here's your first reading assignment -
"sustainabletable org"
That website is very readable & looks at fossil fuel use in food production, sustainable ways for us to survive, reasons not to grow or eat gene altered organisms
For a VERY detailed look at the problems of gene alteration go to "psrast org" - They have various levels of complexity from details in layman's terms to articles that geneticists will find informative
michael0156 2 months ago

So, a lawyer may have to pay more for food but the people the people involved in food service, etc., will make more.
myndy86 2 months ago
@wiseman152439 This is why poor countries should switch to organic instead of using GM. Many of the poor people in those countries are farmers or involved in food shipping, etc. Organic creates more jobs and better paying jobs for the majority of poor people in poor countries. The 2010 data on the worldhunger website states "The world produces enough food to feed everyone.""Poverty is the principal cause of hunger." So, organic would reduce poverty and therefore reduce hunger.
myndy86 2 months ago

@wiseman152439 You said "Food prices are soaring in third world countries, and there are people in the world starving to death, and we "overproduce food"? How does that make sense?" There are a lot of reasons for this. A lot of arable African, etc. land has been sold to Western companies, so Africans, etc. are not getting to use some of their land. Other factors are war, if a warlord or soldiers come steal your food you may starve. There is more to it then just food production.
myndy86 2 months ago
@myndy86 I guess you are right when you point out that economic aspects also acount for hunger and the higher expense of buying organic... I know for a fact that many native African people are forced off their land so to get oil, and that there are shitloads of civil wars. Also I understand that the market changes from varying factors, and how the government artificially props some industries up over others.... So I guess my previous argument under further inspection is void.
wiseman152439 2 months ago
@myndy86 Well, if all you say is true, and the studies you sited were factual, then I guess I may have been misinformed. But this is really the first time anyone has pointed these things out... Most of the people I know who eat organic do it because of how its percieved in Media and culture, Not because they looked up a couple hundred studies. I'm not payed by the government, nor am I brainwashed. I simply am a skeptic by heart, and I think most people who agree with this video are too.

@wiseman152439 Organic originally means cultivated with organic salts (live salts). Conventional produce is cultivated with synthetic inorganic salts (dead salts). What this means is that the nutrients in organic produce are ALKALINE in nature while the nutrients in conventional produce is ACIDIC in nature.
.Our bodies need ALKALINE forms of nutrients. ACIDIC forms of nutrients makes is sick.
.Just ask any pharmacists, they'll tell you.

The real reason there is poverty around the world is because of left wing governments that starve their people to keep them under their control.
eweutuberider 1 month ago
@eweutuberider That is certainly a part of the reason why people starve. Good point.

@wiseman152439 GM USES TOO MUCH SPACE!! Gm requires both refuges and buffer zones and organic does not. The UN report IAASTD says GM yields are sometimes higher and sometimes lower, so GM crops yields do not make up for the extra land used. Austrian politician Jorg Leichtfried says "if we would use these modified plants and have 300 meter zones to protect others, half of our acres wouldn't function anymore, so half of our production may be not functioning anymore."
