depends on the time period you like. this one is great, medieval total war isn't something i like but if you like medieval times there's that one. If your computer can run it get napolean total war instead of empire...but if you can't run it, empire total war is the American Revolution time period.

He is VERY interested in ancient history, has been playing Rome: Total War for a long time, and does get comments like those a lot. Either you're blind to those comments or deaf to what he says, either way, don't make a comment about something Prince just doesn't want to hear. God's sake, he is talking through a microphone over a computer. Don't you think he could sound a little rough in tone?

To me, I don't care if he mispronounces a unit name or not, his videos are too good to let SUCH a minor annoyance make them suck.

@Recruitsoldier You're the deaf one, retard. Look at PoM's live commentary battle #5, where somebody says exactly the same thing. He does not say cavalry, he says CALvary. Every. Frigging. Time.

Don't get me wrong - these are great videos and PoM is a fantastic tactician and player. I just find it odd that somebody with such a great knowledge and enthusiasm for military history makes such a rudimentary error when talking about one of the most important components of the classical army.

Or, you're just trying to be a criticizing smartass who has to comment on the quality of his speech. If you hadn't noticed, he gets these sort of comments a LOT. And he's paid attention to most of them, each time saying "I AM saying 'cavalry.' And even if he wasn't at first, he certainly is now, considering all of these ignorant, must-be-perfect pointers.

Question: What's the difference between the experience upgrades and the weapon/shield upgrades?

exp provides:

+1 damage

+morale

+1 def ability

(prolly some improvements to targetting for range units but not sure bout this)

atk provides:

+1 dmg

def provides:

+1 armor

so basically, def upgrades help defending against ranged units, while exp won't, on the other hand, the def bonus by exp will not be influenced by attacks with the "armor piercing" attribute or attacks from behind, but exp is freaking expensive ;)

I don't think they should've ever made "Empire Total War." "Napoleon Total War" is the game that should've been made. A lot of people bought "Empire" expecting it to feature time period of the Napoleonic Wars, but it doesn't. Also, the Multiplayer aspect wasn't fixed until a month ago.

Basically, a lot of people feel ripped off by "Empire," and now they probably won't buy "Napoleon" when it comes out.

Prince is a military genious in RTW that is a fact. He can manage his pikes like computer is doing that in very hard switch. So i think playing with the pikes against the prince is poor wast it is better to use horse units or Roman infantry units against him. +resp. for prince!!!

Who said I only post wins??? That's the most ignorant statement ever. The last time I lost in Rome Total War was back in January 2009. I'm a very experienced player meaning I don't lose often. And yes, I even have losses posted from Rome Total War.

Seeing as you replied directly to me, thought i'd say nice vids lol I watch them every so often. And I don't think they are to be honest, I have no trouble beating any Armenian army ever. That may be because of my tactics suiting fighting cavalry though :-/ Who do you think is the worst faction the prince? Any faction you find extremely easy to beat?

if you're fighting online battles, then I would have to say that you're fighting against people who aren't maximizing the potential of Armenia.

The easiest factions to beat online are Gaul, Macedon and Spain.

Quite possibly, I was using my friends pc and wound up playing 4 armenian opponents in one night (wierd I thought) I beat them all no problem. Maybe they were new lol :-D Ah, thanks for the heads up. Spain seem pretty poor. I am usually Selucid. They seem like all rounders. I like the diversity.
