Totally agree well said PL. This band helped destroy the last strands of fabric morality remaining in society.
The 80's were the most depressing dark years to be dragged up in. Suicide, sleeping with the same sex and having no morals at all were glorified beyond redemption.

I saw this clip only once before in England and this was the only song I have heard from them at the time. But then of course I have heard of the Communards. Now that I'm mature, completely understand and now know the name of the song. While I was there between 1986 and 1989, I had no idea all three were in that life.

NOBODY could do it better! How would that even be possible? It's so jazzy with this little bumpy rhythm. It has a cool bass line. It is just so well put together. And a little sax with some scat singing and so much more (too much to list). WTF! Hole Smokes Batman! Loved it then Love it now! THE sign of a GREAT song - it crosses time and borders.

To the guy who said that Jimmy Somerville has a "girly-voice," please don't embarrass yourself by displaying your ignorance. The correct term for his voice is counter tenor. They usually tend to sing classical music. JS uses his counter tenor voice for pop.

cool song - way back in the 80s this was quite cutting edge - the cultural reference of the video was a film called scum which was set in a borstal (youth prison) with all the unpleasantness that you would imagine this entails. In the eighties the song and the video reference to the movie scum and it contents made a lot of sense that it is difficult to see now back through the years - to those of who lived it - we salute you jimmy
