my radio in my 2005 grand cherokee is staticy on certian stations with my hid lights on, will this harness tone that static out, i already have a relay hooked up but idk if its this special relay you speak of
LET ME CLEAR THIS ALL UP FOR EVERYONE.. It is I L L E G A L to put HIDs in any car or truck in the UNITED states unless it came from the factory or is DOT approved.. This shit about well its only illegal in reflective housing and not projectors is a bunch of shit...
In the USA you MAY NOT alter you vehicles lighting in anyway unless it comes from the factory. PLAIN AN SIMPLE.. IF YOU CAR DIDNT COME WITH HIDS OR THE MANUFACTURER DIDNT MAKE HID FOR YOUR CAR.. YOU CANT HAVE IT..
now having said that.. I HAVE HID's in my Jeep cause I just dont care what the Law says.. There more important laws that need to be enforced then worrying about someone running HIDs..
hey, i have a 89 toyota cressida, powered by the 7mge. anyways, i have xentec,10k HIDs. im on my third pair in less then a month, they will flicker for awhile when turning on, then be fine for maby a week, i do not run them in day time either, but then after at most two weeks of use, one will burn out, then the other will also, they are still sorta bright, but not blue like they used to, any ideas why this keeps happing, and do you guys sell a relay for my car, and how much
IF A CUSTOMER ASKS if these lights are legal or illegal, we will tell them that they are intended for offroad use only, hence ILLEGAL. We state this information in our terms and conditions.
I was not knocking your company simply saying that if I was selling a product I would want to show business integrity and let my customers know of all applications (legal or not) so as to promote good business ethics. Do what you want but I would put a disclaimer on the video telling people that using HID kits in reflector housing (LIKE THE ONE IN THE VIDEO) on main roads is ILLEGAL.
A customer should not HAVE to ask. This is the biggest problem in the motor industry. Companies do not care enough to tell the whole story to potential customers, they just want to sell the product no matter what. By not being upfront, some companies hope to sell products (i.e. HID kits) without the customer being discouraged to find out they need to spend more on projector housing.
Please do not silence me either by deleting my comments...that's kinda low...
Surprised no one mentioned this is illegal in stock reflector assemblies. You have to install ALL HID kits in to PROJECTOR assemblies. Stock reflector assemblies are DANGEROUS because they glare and blind oncoming drivers. The PROJECTOR headlights are designed to focus an HID beam.
I have installed 55W HID on my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2006 but I have a problem. When I turn OFF the lights, they keep flickering for about a minute then go OFF.
I installed a kit on my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the passenger's side flickers. Doesthis one flicker? I cant apreciate if it does because is rapidly moved from one headlight to the other. I ordered a pair od capacitors, hopefully that will fix my problem.
you'll need one with resistors built in, otherwise the lights will flicker. We sell them for $49.99. Usually 2005 and newer Dodge, Jeeps, Chryslers, and Fords require them.
The HID kit I got looks just like the one on the video, the problem in that the hid bulbs don't turn on, I heard it needs relay but I don't even knows what that is, so do I need another cable that connects to the battery or what??
Its a common problem with the type of bulb the 2000 Altima uses. It uses a 9007 bulb so in the HID kit, there's a connector that goes to the car connector that went to the original halogen bulb. The connector that goes to the original car connector has 3 prongs inside of it. You basically have to switch those around until they turn on because each prong has its own function (high, low, common ground). Basically, the prongs are not being plugged into the correct position on your car plug
Do I need to unplug the battery, or the negative battery cable?

@JasonMichaelDesigns usually radio interference is caused by the ballasts.

Got a question. My car's factory bulbs are 55w. will a 35w slim ballast work?

@GTAinHDgamer you are retarded its not illegal
arnoni11 11 months ago
I do not know about America...but in Europe is stricly illegal to have them fitted on a reflector...
GTAinHDgamer 11 months ago
I think it will be safer if you make sure you are using hids that are for reflectors. Like d2r for example. It will cut away the glare.

@DemonDrummer1018 you are right but have to say 99.999% of the people who opt for HID's without projector/retrofit know they are illegal already.
teaser2233 1 year ago
@teaser2233 maybe you're right but I just think advertising them in an illegal way or without a disclaimer is irresponsible

All kits are intended for off-road use only. Yes, it is true you get the best results by putting HIDs into a projector.
carHIDkits 1 year ago
@carHIDkits Then whats the point of putting them in some of the cars you do?
KingOfTheClutch 1 year ago
Thats why you point them down, but better results with projectors.
pbbarntt 1 year ago
@pbbarntt Pointing them down does not make them legal...or safer
