that reporter was my dad and he DID NOT put his foot on the brake and everyone who says that he admitted that he put on the brake I'd like to see your PROOF!!!!!
not pilot error at all its actually passenger error! the passenger is in front and has a full set of controls as well he simply pushed on the peddals to lift up to see that in turn applied full brakes on landing resulting in the flip i own a stearman myself and love it that passenger was filming for washington post!
@mattallen95 , well thats what happens when your feet are too high on the rudder pedals, the top of the pedals controls the brakes. When he was correcting for landing with the rudders he put too much pressure too high, causing them to lock... Simply pilot error.
@donaldclabaugh the washington post reporter riding along was standing on the brakes to get a better view. the pilot had already told the guy once to not do that after he did earlier in the flight.

Yeah, watch the left tire smoke as it touches the ground. The left brake was locked as it landed. Kind of ruins your day!

@curtisshawk
Where's the yaw to the left? I say both wheels locked (for whatever reason).
