  • maybe next video give all these out of state people driving tips. this isnt california, or texas or mexico. jesus jumped up christ. ppl driving 100mph on icy roads that some scurry shit.

  • yep the towns are like 50 miles apart. Its best to go up when no one wants to be in that cold weather, that way the rooms are more available. It took 4 weeks to get first paycheck but some companies will give you an advance for you to live off of till the first paycheck comes in.

  • first off. great video. its like a training video. haha. im thinking of heading up there this week. do you know if they are still hiring. and where is a good place to work or apply online before i go.

  • What company do you work for? I just got hired on through Halliburton in Williston

  • @trav644 I worked for Precision Drilling

  • Damn baby, you're fine. I wish the boom woulda happened before I moved SW Montana. Bet there are lots of brothers there now. Damn.

ANYWAYS, I listened to your videos and you are so right. I have a brother who lives there, been there for 6 years, owns his home and I have a brother there living in the man camp of the company he works for. This fine azz guy has hit the nail on the nose. I suggest, if you are interested in the oil field, watch these videos. He is good!

  • @leonaisminasmom98 Thanks!!!

  • I dont people dont realize how dire the housing need in Williston, Dickinson, Watford City, Ray, Tioga , and anywhere else on the Bakken is... I stayed in the Wal-Mart parcking lot for the first month I worked there (minus a week in Bismarck). Listen to this guy people. he speaks the truth lol. Great video man

  • Hey Tim great job and thank-you as we are headed to ND in the next few weeks.....very informative.

  • Where are you living now after being there a few months?

  • The Videos have been a great insight on what to expect for those planning on going to North Dakota. I may be one of these people after the first of the year as i wish to save extra income before going on a whim. The questions i have extend from an earlier video, you mentioned to take lots of clothes i.e-jeans, what kind of clothes would you recommend?, in particular that will fit functionally under the coveralls you wear while working. What jobs are available till one lands an oil job? Thanks.

  • @Drew9167 I recommend a lot of like blue jeans and t-shirts. During the winter time it's different and you may want to find some heavier clothes to wear. The coveralls are pretty loose so you can wear pretty much anything under them. The main thing is having enough clothes to last you for your entire hitch (2 weeks+).

Until you get a job on the rigs there are lots of jobs available like restaurants, gas stations, day labor, etc.
