How much you wanna bet they were all blazed during that interview? lmao. Anyways, to chime in (shot!) at the guy from a year ago that said Flair was no better than Cena...are you on crack? Flair kept asses in seats in NWA, AWA and WCW for 2 entire decades and only won the strap 15 times (not counting the last WWE run) and Cena's already a 12 time champ after 5 years. So fuck off with a comment like that. Like his "wrestling" or not, Flair kept the "good" pro wrestling alive back in the day.
@kincoism Flair was hardly a name in the AWA so I hardly see how he drew crowds there, and Sting and Hogan did more then Flair to "put asses in seats" in WCW, Flair was just there for the booking benefits.
And what does winning the world title 15 or 16 times really mean when half of those runs served little perpouse other then to srtoke Flairs own ego or a desperate bid at getting viewers back?
@FalseImpressionist75 saying that John Cena is a 10 time champion haha which I have nothing against John Cena, but having a guy who isn't the best wrestler in any sense of the word and having the title spin and still look the same as it did with JC takes the prestige away from the WWE title.
fuck off hart! slagging off "wwe television" especially when you agreed to take part in that shit angle where ya leg got crushed, ya awful mania match and then further allowing ya name to be used and thrown around like a whore (bret vs the miz....bret vs the taker....and recently they did bret in a tag match). there was a time when you wouldn't allow your credible name to be thrown around like this.great, superb wrestler but annoys the fuck out of me!
Their comments about the cameras apply to wrestling. That's the reason it seems less real than in the old days. In the old days, most often, everything happened in the studio where cameras were set up. Now cameras are in the back, in the dressing rooms, catching stuff going on back there while the wrestlers don't seem to notice there's a camera present.
oh my god that was awesome those are like two of my favorite all time wrestlers, seeing bret wrestle in rochester as a kid with my dad were some of my best memories
You guys really think their on drugs.. Ok maybe not the major butt atleast Mary Jane! Looking at bret's face, I wouldn't be surprised. I know their not on cocaine because the anvil isn't yelling and going bezierk! Lol though!
Thats cool i wish this thing was a little bit longer love to here all the good matches yall had we need a wrestleing reallity tv show not a lame one to like the real world naw mean but longs yall had some storys lined up and some stars lined up it would be a hit no dout aout that i would watch that people would like to hear about what old school wrestlers r doing now these dayz and how r they doing and all like jimmy fly , anvil , bret , shawn , animal, Nash, Scott Hall, keep it going makelonger
I think its funny people are talking about Flair and Cena when 2 better wrestlers are sitting on the bed in this vid.
However, to chime in. Flair is no better a wrestler than John Cena. There I said it. Flair wrestles the same routine over and over and over. And maybe Cena does too...I perfer not to watch Flairs old crap over and over.
@TheLeaderNOW Flair is pushing 60, and he is way more entertaining then Cena. back in his day he was incredible and I will watch flair at 60 then I will Cena at 30 or however old he is.
@TheLeaderNOW hey man I'm 24, I know the whole routine of professional wrestling. I don't watch it much anymore, but when I do I don't watch guys hit each other and think "oh wow it looks so real." I just want to be entertained and Flair is great at doing that.
Hey man, I'm 25, and when I watch it I'd like to be entertained too. However, I like the matches to look realistic. Flair is funny sometimes, like a comedian, so I can see what your saying as far as entertainment. I prefer a more high impact, WRESTLING match, ya know.
@TheLeaderNOW makes sense. In true regards I miss Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. They had some amazing matches in the mid-late 90s against one another. I actually saw Benoit 1 week prior to what happened at the air port in Atlanta. We made eye contact, nodded and then went our seperate ways. it was an awesome feeling.
@TheLeaderNOW you know the feeling of running into an old friend you haven't seen in awhile? That's how I felt, like I opened my mouth to say something and nothing came out and then I realized it was Mr. Toothless Agression himself lmao. Poor guy, he probably looked at me and it set something off in his head. I was always an Eddie fan, he was just cool to me. But, I guess we look at different things in pro wrestling, and that's cool. I understand where you're coming from :-)
@mercifulkyle I'm not saying Flair has never had good matches, Cena has had some good ones too. Problem is, Flair gets more credit than he deserves, and Cena probably doesn't get enough.
Of course Bret and RVD are an entirely different story.
@liveandletrock864 Yes I would, I have watched Flair from 20 years ago. His run in WWF in the early 90s was the same flair that I watched in WCW in the mid to late 90s, and the same Flair I saw in WWE. Maybe 25-30 years ago is what your looking for?
@TheLeaderNOW cena does a top rope leg drop and damn good drop kick.....flair always had a terrible drop kick and could never fathom doing a top rope leg drop.
@InternetAesHole I would say Cena has better high risk moves, although I will admit Flair had a solid dropkick back in his day. As far as Flair and the top rope...he has been doing that spot where he gets slammed off the top rope in every fucking match for the last 20 years at least! Like, does anyone think he is actually gunna do a move off the top? We all know your gunna get slammed Ric! I will say, I have watched a lot of Flair matches, and I think ONE time, he actually did an axe handle...
@TheLeaderNOW I seem to remember Flair doing an axehandle smash from the top rope, coulod be wrong though.
But I must agree with your comments unless I read them wrong, Flair was never that innovative and I don't really get why fans consider him such a great wrestler when in reality he was no more limited then Hulk Hogan or, dare I say, John Cena.
@nonamebrand0 Except that the term "5 moves of doom" refering to Hart are in jest. Anyway, at 5 moves Bret would still have 2 or 3 more than Flair. What can he do? Chop, Fall down, Figure 4...whoooooo?
@TheLeaderNOW yeah, cause thats what Flair did for 45 minutes against Sting or in his first title victory over Harley Race. Bret Hart is a hero of mine, but to say one is better then the other is ludicrous. Most of what you remember of Flair is of him far after his prime, and him doing a routine? That comes from doing 7 or more shows in a week, all in different towns, for years on end.
@nonamebrand0 When exactly was Flair's prime? I have watched him from the early 90s up, I havn't watched a lot of his matches from the 80s and before. However, its not my fault he wrestled 20 YEARS past his prime. To be the man you gotta beat the man? He wasn't the man since what...1984? What is Flair's best match, of alllll time? I will look it up on youtube, and I won't trash him if it was good. But if its the same Flair match I've seen a thousand times I'd be disappointed.
@TheLeaderNOW Its from a bit past his prime, but his match against Sting from the June 24, 1994 Clash of the Champions is a great match, and his match with Dusty Rhodes at Starrcade '84 (I believe) is a classic. His matches with Steamboat are also worth watching. I cant say what his greatest match is, but all those Ive mentioned are good examples, I think you'll see what I mean. Now that I've said that, I have to say that I think Flair should have retired from in ring work in 2004-2005.
@nonamebrand0 After reflecting and checking out that match against Sting I think I've nailed down Flair's strong points. He sells very well, I think you could say he is one of the best in that regard along with HBK. He is also funny as hell, even if you've seen the spots before they're still funny. He also could really move quick back in his day, compared to all of the 80s wrestlers he for sure was one of the fastest. He always got up quick after every bump. Those are his strong points.
@TheLeaderNOW to even compare flair to cena is a complete insult. i will say cena is not the worst wrestler i ever saw(that belongs to khali warrior and goldberg) but he and flair are far from the same. that man has mentioned so many one hour matches with some of the greats and made so any wrestlers look better than what they are.
@dakliq420 Niether are great technical wrestlers, and both are seen for their entertainment value. When guys mention the best "wrestlers" they went at it with you hear Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, guys like that. Fliar is a great entertainer, I'll give him that. Flair has put on many shitty looking figure 4s and Cena puts on a shitty STF. I also don't see how comparing 2 top guys to each other is a bad thing. Niether is a Batista or Warrior thats for sure.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes its whether not weather. 2nd Flair > Cena. Flair used to cut himself with those handy tights razors in nearly every match, how often does Cena sacrifice himself for the sake of the fans like that? HHH is better than both imo
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes Well a lot of the old stuff wasn't made for little kids and wasn't about selling t-shirts and dolls and video games. Yeah it was all fake but it was also about anyone that got into that business and their ability to perform. Ric Flair is the perfect example of that. It wasn't about his looks, it was about his performance. I think he's over rated myself but he performs better than cena does. Ant the top rope thing was the to give a sense of rules. Stupid, but it had a purpose
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes Rick Flair forgot more than most wrestlers know today. You're a 23 year old kid who has no idea of what wrestling was like in the late 70's and 1980's because you wern't even fucking BORN yet, but you think you're the authority of wrestling and you're just a joke. You're right about Hogan, but not Flair. ECW is second-string and if you want to watch that lame-ass no talent shit, enjoy it, lol.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes TNA is bottom of the barrel, one down from ECW and about the only wrestler who shouldn't be there is Kurt Angle. Success and money in the WWE is due to fan support and ticket sales which proves that WWE is the flagship of wrestling. I've been watching wrestling since before you were born, lol. Literally. You're right though about Hulk Hogan and Sting and why they are there, but TNA will never surpass the WWE.
@snarlingrabiddog5150 People said that about WCW and it raped WWE in the ratings cause they had a shitty product! and were about to go out of business...but Vince Russo saved the sinking ship! WWE has been around forever TNA about 7years and is on Monday Night against WWE...TNA will beat WWE, it just takes time!
@Stargate174 I seriously doubt that, but time will tell. It won't beat the WWE unless they get their shit together. They COPIED a story line with Kurt Angle that was EXACTLY like the Montreal screw job. They have washed up wrestlers with the exception of a couple, their storylines are crap and they have no organizational skill whatsoever. Their announcers are hacks just like the wrestlers and the management. WCW folded, TNA will do the same but sooner.
@snarlingrabiddog5150 I WILL say this....I was a big fan of WCW. I wish they were still around. I liked WCW a lot. TNA.....sorry man, they just have to much wrong with them to survive. They'll be around a while longer, maybe with new management and a new rostor they can change for the better but as they are and have been, its really sad to watch. WWE has the ratings, ticket sales, good wrestlers and professionals running the show. TNA is a circus of misfits.
@Stargate174 Weird how people bash TNA for copying WCW storylines but never bashed the Attitude Era since Russo was behind that, and the Attitude was nothing more than a copy of the old ECW,TNA's getting better, they got rid of The Nasty Boys,Hall and X-Pac,They made RVD champ and made him fued with Sting who's in great shape for a 50 year old, compare him to flair, hogan, and bret's shape,he's better, you have AJ Styles fueding with Kazarian and Hardy and Anderson, plus no guest host or PG B.S.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes First off, I don't need to prove my intelligence to you or anyone else. Second, name-calling is indicative of a lack of facts to further your pointless points. Only idiots do that when they run out of facts. Third, if RVD could go back to the WWE, he'd be back there quicker than you could snap your fingers, lol. I'm sure he doesn't want to be in TNA. Its a living for him, thats it.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes You don't have to result to name calling to make a point. It just shows your lack of knowledge. RVD THOUGHT he was bigger than the WWE. Mr. Monday Night, lol. The WWE will always stomp TNA. TNA and even ECW exist for wrestlers who are demoted or want out of the hectic pace of the WWE schedule and yes, politics. Noone really wants to be in TNA. TNA will always suck. The ECW is second-string WWE, but TNA....well, lol, enjoy the program.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes RVD isn't in this for the fans, lol. He's in it for himself. He always HAS been. Kurt Angle should be back in the WWE. Kurt can out-wrestle anyone in the business. I think the politics of the WWE just pissed him off and thats why he's in TNA. I'm sure he's not digging being there. He's on a different plane than RVD. RVD is GOOD. Don't get me wrong, RVD has ALWAYS been good. His lifestyle and attitude have shut him out and thats what sucks about him.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes You're a 23 year old kid who has catroons on his page and you can't spell and you're tellimg ME I'm an idiot? lol. RVD would be back in the WWE in a HEARTBEAT if Vince would let him and MAYBE someday he will. I have not said RVD is not an amazing performer. Drug use killed his career, that and his massive ego and bad attitude towards other wrestlers in the business. Enjoy watching TNA, lol.
@Crimetimefan101 TNA, wow, the K-Mart of wrestling. Welcome to the bigtime RVD, lol. He will fit in just fine with the other washed-up wrestlers and commentators who couldn't make it in the WWE.
While I think you're right about HBK, nothing else you said is correct in my view. John Morrison is barely passable as a wrestler and is more of a body builder, although his in-ring skill is getting better with every match. Jeff Hardy was never an athlete. His finishing move was literally falling on people, lol. Even when he did that, he hurt himself worse than he hurt his opponents, lol.
Morrison is a much better worker than you give him credit for. Hardy wasn't the greatest worker ever, far removed but he still was/is good. Morrison is one of the best workers in WWE today and if you see his match with Mysterio from 9/4/09 and Tyson Kidd on Superstars, you'll more than likely think twice
@XTRAAKILLA I'll agree with you on that remark. Morrison started out really weak but the guy is turning into a really good wrestler. I am liking him more and more with every match he wrestles in. If he stays with it, he's going to be amazing. He's still learning, but he learns faster than most and you're right, I like the guy. He needs to work on his interviews though, but even there, hes doing better than a lot of the other guys.
I have to agree with this guy, those matches are awesome. I dont know where peole got it in their mind that morrison isnt a good worker but its extremely false
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Glad you're gone RVD. Too many drugs and your ego always superceded your ability. Brett hart, glad you're gone too. Same thing minus the drug use. You were decent but never the best.
@EarthDay16 You obviously have your head up your @ss. These guy's egos outshine any ability they have, they are washed-up wrestlers who belong on shows like TNA. You must not ever have seen any interview they have done. They are incapable of forming a sentance because they're so fucked up half the time. They think they are the best, over much more capable wrestlers and belong on TNA, not the WWE. Jeff Hardy is in there with them because he couldn't stay straight. Good riddence.
Your an ignorant retard. So many of your favorite wrestlers get high and take steriods that youd probably piss yourself and say "they should go to TNA" just shut up dude, dont talk about stuff you dont know about
@FUCKULUKEFITZGERALD Listen son, I KNOW that a lot of wrestlers take steroids and do drugs. I say the ones who can't handle fame and can't seem to stay clean and go to rehab deserve to be on TNA. You're evidently a LOT more of a fan of wrestling than I am, lol. You're SO sensitive.....almost....feminine....so I will tell you this, if I want your mouth open, I'll rattle my zipper.....I'm sure you're used to that line....probably know it by its very sound, lol.
Haha your funny, im not sensitive i just had to say something about the stupid shit you were saying. Obviously you dont know the first thing about drugs and pro wrestling or you wouldnt be making your uneducated comments. And with all this talk about rattling zippers im thinkin your the one who needs a facial
@EarthDay16@EarthDay16 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You're a STONER! I just checked out your page. No WONDER you're getting so pissy and your panties are in a bunch. You have no clue who these guys are, you're just advocating the right to get high. Look at the video......thats what happens when you spend half your professional career high with an ego that is bigger than any ability they possess. In a dingy hotel room talking about nonsense and wrestling for TNA, lol.
lol alexdci wth do you expect?he's into his 50s now.the guy still looked 30 when he was 40 and his prime lasted his entire wrestling career.he had to get old sometime.
The WWFs given attendance for the event was 92,000+ fans. However, the true attendance was actually somewhere around the 77-78,000 mark. Naturally, the WWF exaggerated the attendance figures a little to enhance spectacle of WM3. Summerslam 92 is still the WWF/Es biggest PPV of all time.
I do agree with some of your comments though. Especially those about Randy Savage. And the Monday Night War + ECW was by far the greatest era in wrestling history. Probably at least for another 50 years
I feel the Wembley event was still highly memorable. After all, it is still the highest attendance for a WWF event (seeing as WM3s real attendance was only 78,000) and was a spectacle previously unseen outside of the US & Canada or Japan. The era in which the event took place was dead, but that particular event was something special in terms of atmosphere.
is it just me or is there no sound , I have my head set turnd all the way up and I hear nothing

@liveandletrock864 Yes I would, I have watched Flair from 20 years ago. His run in WWF in the early 90s was the same flair that I watched in WCW in the mid to late 90s, and the same Flair I saw in WWE. Maybe 25-30 years ago is what your looking for?
TheLeaderNOW 5 months ago
@TheLeaderNOW cena does a top rope leg drop and damn good drop kick.....flair always had a terrible drop kick and could never fathom doing a top rope leg drop.
InternetAesHole 5 months ago
@InternetAesHole I would say Cena has better high risk moves, although I will admit Flair had a solid dropkick back in his day. As far as Flair and the top rope...he has been doing that spot where he gets slammed off the top rope in every fucking match for the last 20 years at least! Like, does anyone think he is actually gunna do a move off the top? We all know your gunna get slammed Ric! I will say, I have watched a lot of Flair matches, and I think ONE time, he actually did an axe handle...
TheLeaderNOW 5 months ago
@TheLeaderNOW I seem to remember Flair doing an axehandle smash from the top rope, coulod be wrong though.
But I must agree with your comments unless I read them wrong, Flair was never that innovative and I don't really get why fans consider him such a great wrestler when in reality he was no more limited then Hulk Hogan or, dare I say, John Cena.
FalseImpressionist75 2 months ago
@TheLeaderNOW its funny you say that about Flair, when Hart was well known for his "5 moves of doom".
nonamebrand0 4 months ago
@nonamebrand0 Except that the term "5 moves of doom" refering to Hart are in jest. Anyway, at 5 moves Bret would still have 2 or 3 more than Flair. What can he do? Chop, Fall down, Figure 4...whoooooo?
TheLeaderNOW 4 months ago
@TheLeaderNOW yeah, cause thats what Flair did for 45 minutes against Sting or in his first title victory over Harley Race. Bret Hart is a hero of mine, but to say one is better then the other is ludicrous. Most of what you remember of Flair is of him far after his prime, and him doing a routine? That comes from doing 7 or more shows in a week, all in different towns, for years on end.
nonamebrand0 4 months ago
@nonamebrand0 When exactly was Flair's prime? I have watched him from the early 90s up, I havn't watched a lot of his matches from the 80s and before. However, its not my fault he wrestled 20 YEARS past his prime. To be the man you gotta beat the man? He wasn't the man since what...1984? What is Flair's best match, of alllll time? I will look it up on youtube, and I won't trash him if it was good. But if its the same Flair match I've seen a thousand times I'd be disappointed.
TheLeaderNOW 3 months ago
@TheLeaderNOW Its from a bit past his prime, but his match against Sting from the June 24, 1994 Clash of the Champions is a great match, and his match with Dusty Rhodes at Starrcade '84 (I believe) is a classic. His matches with Steamboat are also worth watching. I cant say what his greatest match is, but all those Ive mentioned are good examples, I think you'll see what I mean. Now that I've said that, I have to say that I think Flair should have retired from in ring work in 2004-2005.
nonamebrand0 3 months ago
@nonamebrand0 After reflecting and checking out that match against Sting I think I've nailed down Flair's strong points. He sells very well, I think you could say he is one of the best in that regard along with HBK. He is also funny as hell, even if you've seen the spots before they're still funny. He also could really move quick back in his day, compared to all of the 80s wrestlers he for sure was one of the fastest. He always got up quick after every bump. Those are his strong points.

TheLeaderNOW 3 months ago
@TheLeaderNOW to even compare flair to cena is a complete insult. i will say cena is not the worst wrestler i ever saw(that belongs to khali warrior and goldberg) but he and flair are far from the same. that man has mentioned so many one hour matches with some of the greats and made so any wrestlers look better than what they are.
dakliq420 3 months ago

Literally. You're right though about Hulk Hogan and Sting and why they are there, but TNA will never surpass the WWE.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago
@snarlingrabiddog5150 People said that about WCW and it raped WWE in the ratings cause they had a shitty product! and were about to go out of business...but Vince Russo saved the sinking ship! WWE has been around forever TNA about 7years and is on Monday Night against WWE...TNA will beat WWE, it just takes time!
Stargate174 1 year ago
@Stargate174 I seriously doubt that, but time will tell. It won't beat the WWE unless they get their shit together. They COPIED a story line with Kurt Angle that was EXACTLY like the Montreal screw job. They have washed up wrestlers with the exception of a couple, their storylines are crap and they have no organizational skill whatsoever. Their announcers are hacks just like the wrestlers and the management. WCW folded, TNA will do the same but sooner.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago

Its a living for him, thats it.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago
bret should have asked RVD why is it you never age.
TheDalechannel 1 year ago
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes You don't have to result to name calling to make a point. It just shows your lack of knowledge. RVD THOUGHT he was bigger than the WWE. Mr. Monday Night, lol. The WWE will always stomp TNA. TNA and even ECW exist for wrestlers who are demoted or want out of the hectic pace of the WWE schedule and yes, politics. Noone really wants to be in TNA. TNA will always suck. The ECW is second-string WWE, but TNA....well, lol, enjoy the program.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes RVD isn't in this for the fans, lol. He's in it for himself. He always HAS been. Kurt Angle should be back in the WWE. Kurt can out-wrestle anyone in the business. I think the politics of the WWE just pissed him off and thats why he's in TNA. I'm sure he's not digging being there. He's on a different plane than RVD. RVD is GOOD. Don't get me wrong, RVD has ALWAYS been good. His lifestyle and attitude have shut him out and thats what sucks about him.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes You're a 23 year old kid who has catroons on his page and you can't spell and you're tellimg ME I'm an idiot? lol. RVD would be back in the WWE in a HEARTBEAT if Vince would let him and MAYBE someday he will. I have not said RVD is not an amazing performer. Drug use killed his career, that and his massive ego and bad attitude towards other wrestlers in the business. Enjoy watching TNA, lol.

His drug use killed his WWE career. I have never seen him do anything worthy of watching in the ring and I've been into wrestling for over 30 years.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago
While I think you're right about HBK, nothing else you said is correct in my view. John Morrison is barely passable as a wrestler and is more of a body builder, although his in-ring skill is getting better with every match. Jeff Hardy was never an athlete. His finishing move was literally falling on people, lol. Even when he did that, he hurt himself worse than he hurt his opponents, lol.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago
Morrison is a much better worker than you give him credit for. Hardy wasn't the greatest worker ever, far removed but he still was/is good. Morrison is one of the best workers in WWE today and if you see his match with Mysterio from 9/4/09 and Tyson Kidd on Superstars, you'll more than likely think twice
XTRAAKILLA 1 year ago
@XTRAAKILLA I'll agree with you on that remark. Morrison started out really weak but the guy is turning into a really good wrestler. I am liking him more and more with every match he wrestles in. If he stays with it, he's going to be amazing. He's still learning, but he learns faster than most and you're right, I like the guy. He needs to work on his interviews though, but even there, hes doing better than a lot of the other guys.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago
I have to agree with this guy, those matches are awesome. I dont know where peole got it in their mind that morrison isnt a good worker but its extremely false

Good riddence.
snarlingrabiddog5150 1 year ago

FUCKULUKEFITZGERALD 1 year ago
@FUCKULUKEFITZGERALD Listen son, I KNOW that a lot of wrestlers take steroids and do drugs. I say the ones who can't handle fame and can't seem to stay clean and go to rehab deserve to be on TNA.
Probably at least for another 50 years
nakatasnoodles 2 years ago
I feel the Wembley event was still highly memorable. After all, it is still the highest attendance for a WWF event (seeing as WM3s real attendance was only 78,000) and was a spectacle previously unseen outside of the US & Canada or Japan. The era in which the event took place was dead, but that particular event was something special in terms of atmosphere.
