You make a small pouch with the same fabric and sew it to the stick with elactic. Then, fold your ribbon and tuck it into the pouch. When you wave the ribbon, it will open beautifully. You should try it several times.
You adjust the size of the pouch according to the width and length of your ribbon. Basically, it shouldn't be a problem. Ribbon/silk is soft and very easy to handle.
Usually ribbons are gotten from tailors/special dance prop shops. The ribbons my troupe use are from Taiwan. So they aren't exactly easy to get (unless you make them yourself)
The dancers are okay, but the choreography is sooooo amazing!! Gooooo Debra Huang! I think I am your biggest fan... I've seen this 369 times and I still can't get over the choreography... you go girl!
