  • Google 'Dede Koswara: The Forgotten Story Of The Tree Man' to read a recent article on his condition....it appears as if he`ll never be cured.

  • aww i feel so bad i am so happy hes cured :(

  • Hooray!!!

  • tienen que ponerlo en español

  • Ummmm ... sound ?

  • the elephant man suffered and now there is another person who suffers even more

  • I don't intend this to be cruel or funny but at least the remaining warts on his hands will protect them in case he gets attacked.

  • Good to see him happy and smiling. He is the poster child for the human spirit to overcome whatever life gives us.

  • he has come a very very long way, i think that his wife is a bitch for leaving him, but all in all he has made a great recovery, i hope that he does well in the future

  • It's actually a virus, like warts or herpes (the non-sexual kind)...

  • He aint cured yet hes only 90% cured

  • @norandrostenedione Go to hell.

  • :) thank u for comenting everybody!

  • wow im so happy when i saw that treeman gets cured.....

  • poor guy :( i cant believe his own wife left him cuz he was weird and ugly....what a bitch

  • ask yourself. would you want to stay with him? No matter how great of a guy he is, which he is, i'm pretty sure most women wouldn't want to be with him in his previous stage.

  • actually, i would stay with him becuz im not shallow. Looks dont matter to me.

  • well then, I respect you for that. one in a million.

  • @StarHorses101

You're an angel, I hope I meet someone like you one day.

  • If the marriage wasn't based on love, but just out of convenience or it was arranged, then I can understand why the woman left him. Which I think was the case, because if they married out of love for eachother, she would not have left him. Unless of course she was in lust with him, then obviously that's gonna change if the person ends up with a disfiguring disease. If something like that happened to the man I love, I would do everything I can to help, support and protect him.

  • @eddiespookiebutt It was your typical forced Muslim marriage AND separation. His disformity brought 'shame' unto her f*d up religious family/community.

  • It is shallow, I agree, however you have to consider their marriage was most likely arranged and they probably didn't love eachother. It's quite normal for someone who doesn't truely love someone to want to leave that person if there is a significant change in them. He couldn't work anymore, and looks disfigured. She probably saw a poor existance for her in that marriage and is why she left. But regardless, she obviously didn't love him otherwise she wouldn't have left him.

You do not understand what it feels like. You cannot tie your life to something that completely destroys it. Really. You cannot.

It's like... I don't know. But don't you dare say that.

  • @StarHorses101 Look at his hands there worse then chewbacas , ofcourse i would leave him

  • @robthedawg12 Wow you are seriously shallow then...

  • i bet the spent like 1 g on liquid nitrogen for his warts to freeze them off

  • and to think all he needed was a little bit of vitamin a...

  • they were giving him vitamin a along with the surgery

  • vitamin A didn't work, they used chemo.

  • sadly we whites brought infections to indonesia when missionaries started helping the tribes, now look, not forgetting these people have difficulty getting their hands on meds when they're days awa from a local doctor.y

  • it wasnt an infection, it was a mutation in his cells. something like that. look on the wiki

  • yah/.. its definitly mutation

  • it's herpes combined with a rare genetic disorder in his immune system. His immune system couldn't contain the growth of the warts.

  • it's not herpes-- it's HPV

  • @skater4nater It's called warts.

  • @skater4nater He's infected with the HPV, and he has a weak immune system, so the warts are never healed by his body. It's not a mutation.

  • @skater4nater it's not really a mutation. It's the wart virus that had spun out of control. Most people have an immunity to the wart virus or are able to build one up, but, Dede's body couldn't do this for some reason, so, when he came into contact with the virus (after a cut on his knee) the warts were able to drasticly multiply all over his body because his body did not try to combat them.

  • @moosiau lack of vitamin a i think
