He used the method in the first reply. Nobody actually plays that stuff end to end. You can also use the pattern track but that's not what he did in the video.

I cannot for the life of me understand linear recording. When you record the first loop, how do you keep copying that loop throught the entire song?

@TheReggiereg1 You can do that two ways in a snap .
1. Make the loop a midi clip and paste as many times as wish.
2.Make the loop a pattern and step or play ( 8800 only) the patterns in the quantity and order you wish
Updates 3.54 and v1.01 fixes the problem addressed in this video.
