I have all except of few of his sermons, but I want to encourage everyone to please listen this man speak and proclaim the gospel of God. He witnessed a lot injustice in his time. I cant tell you how this man has blessed my house by playing his sermons over and over. He will encourage your heart.

The word is being brought forth.You have to be able to understand this kind of preaching in order to for your self that the word is being brought forth. You must also be able to how the Spirit of God works. Like I stated before,when the Holy Ghost comes you shall have POWER.
This was POWERFUL Man of God. Many Preachers of today don't preach like this anymore.I love to hear a whooping preacher,but I do understand that not every preacher whoops. So many Preachers of today are so busy teaching the Word that they have forgotten how to preach the word with POWER and AUTHORITY.
Times have changed. Plain and simple. I happen to be one of those who doesn't need to hear all that whooping ahd hollering. Just teach the word and sit down. The hooping is just show and entertainment as far as I'm concerned.
Yes,times have changed,but there are still whooping preachers in the world. I do understandind that not every preacher whoops and not everyone likes a whooping preacher.Whooping is not a show nor is it an art or entertainment,but it is about the true power of the Holy Spirit.
I hear what you're saying. Historically, there has been times when the charisma has replaced true scholarship and study. However, it is not fair to dismiss the black preaching experience as simply entertainment and non-substantive. I admit that whooping is more emotion than intellect. However, it is a eurocentric thought paradigm that places intellect over emotion. one is not more important than the other. God is a holistic God that ministers through heart and head

Some teach,some preach and some do both,but even in teaching the spirit will come.Wether it be teach or preaching,if you're not doing it in such a way that invites the spirit of God to come in and have His way then something is wrong. The spirit gives you POWER,wether you preach or teach. The spirit gives utterance and you can't teach or preach without it. You must understand that not every preacher will whoop when the spirirt comes,but you still must invite Him to come.
I don't have anything. I'm 19, so I think he died when I was a little girl, I'm not sure. When my mother first told me about him, I was shocked when I found him on youtube!!!

Thank you for posting this. I was baptized at Greater J by Rev. Daniels 10 yrs old. I haven't been to my home church in about 15 years. This made me remember why I went to the altar that Sunday. To those arguing about who is best. Yes, Jasper did preach our revivals and we LOVED him, we also LOVED Leo and C.L. The whoop and call was not invented by any of them, it is a southern, country style and we don't trip over who's best. To us, it's just how preaching is done.
My dad preaches just like this. He use to have so many old alblums of this great man of God. I wish there were more of his sermons on YouTube. These sermons are very rare to come by, I'm suprised, but glad to have spotted this one.

Well it is most difficult to teach on youtube what has taken years of study. The Bible is complex. When readng the Bible one must take into consideration to whom the was the letter written and why etc.

My lifestyle is no differant than most people with children. we get up go to school and baseball practice eat dinner. Go on vacation in the summer etc. What do you mean lifestyle. The church teaches people tp hate gay prople. Look at the film for the bible tells me so. it might help you.

Yes I agree with that comment. The guilt and shame of the life-style causes them to be defensive against anyone who tries to show them the right way. I'm not commenting to put anyone down. I just want to help people. Maybe this person is at home right now thinking about what we have been saying. We have to plant the seed and then let God do the rest. Paul preached to the gentiles about their homosexuality! Christ never had to repeal the homosexuality to the jews because it was not an ongoing issue. They had other sins that christ had to address. Paul had to address the different sins of the gentiles. And Paul, who was an apostle to the gentiles, condemned homosexuality. If you disagree with paul, you disagree with christ!
Christ is standing in the Gap for you, but you've got to seek him. Pray, fast, John 8.32 say's ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. I got a chance to hear Rev. William Shaw twice and not once did I hear him hoop....and it still touched me. It still caused this great feeling on the inside. Both sermons were absolutely awesome. I have seen different responses that are against the hoop! I dont see anything wrong with the hoop but I also find nothing wrong with someone preaching the word without the hoop. I guess there is something wrong with me. I just love the truth of the Gospel. I am 30 and I enjoy all styles of preaching.
Well, I am a young preacher and I find this awesome. The last thing I want to do though is imitate someone from the past. To me, I pray to be able to reach all....all races and people of different backgrounds. The truth is the truth and I think that far too many people have had this..."WHO'S THE BEST"...problem over a long period of time. i have had several teacher that taught at accreditted school but they got their degree from school that didn't have all the accreditation that people like to see. a christian university, college or seminary can be accreditted by the US Department of education and still not be fully accreditted. in most cases in the religious community to have a degree worth something it must be from an institution that is accreditted by the Association of Theological Schools
The Association of Theological Schools ARE accredited by the US Board of Education. If you dont believe me, go to their website! However the Accredited Commission International will never be accredited!

I can tell my good friend. Truth Bible College is accredited by Accredited Commission International which is NOT recognized by the US Department of Education which makes it an unaccredited agency. Thus any colleges or schools accredited by this agency are invalid and their degrees are INVALID!
their degrees are not invalid, they just aren't accredited. they do the required work, but the school doesn't have the accreditation. in most cases it is because of lack of money. fully accreditted school are very expensive. their are some good schools that are not accreditted, that lay persons attend because they don't need a fully accreditted degree like i do.
Go to the national baptist website or southern baptist website..they are requiring pastors who want employment to have ACCREDITED Seminary degrees. If your degree is not accredited, you cant use it! You cant put it on a resume, and will not count towards employment. Going to a seminary that is not accredited, it worthless unless you just want to learn info.
Just because he has doctor bars doesnt make him a doctor. He probably was given an honorary doctorate. Still he was not a Doctor like Martin Luther King or Henry Lyons. Preachers who get honorary doctorates are not equivalent to those who have earned it!
It is true! Muhammad Ali has a honorary doctorate. Is he a doctor? He received it from Columbia University. What one has achieved academically can never be equated thru some HONORARY DOCTORATE!

No I am just a member. But too many preachers or pastors are calling themselves doctors without being formally educated just so they can feel good about themselves. They are lying about their accomplishments which is sinning. Some preachers buy their degrees online!

I have heard of your seminary and it is accredited by US Board of Education but NOT by the Association of Theological Schools. So thus for some churches, they would not be interested in your application at all just for that fact. However I am sure your education is very valid.
liberty theological is globally recognized if for no other fact than jerry falwell gave his life building the school. it was accredited by ats but falwell and the board fell out. so they parted ways.
Yes Franklin was dangerous & educated but Daniels could preach about an onion & tie it to the text where you could understand it. Not about knowledge or hoopology but anointing destroys the yoke. We may be gifted to preach, without it we are nothing.
Yeah daniels was good. But now...he was so uneducated and would mispronounce words and very country. His grammar was very terrible at times. At best, he is the poor man's CL Franklin. But he could whoop tho and he was very organized in his preaching.
leo daniels was raised in time when many preachers didn't have the resources or the knowledge to earn a degree. for every 1 the was educated there 50 that didn't have a high school education. but God gave them a word that blessed the people of that time. God used him and when God was finished using him he took him home...
I am not saying he was a bad preacher. He was excellent. However note that a uneducated preacher who mispronounces words PROBABLY is not a legit doctor know matter WHAT his robe may indicate!
even though he mispronouced words, he still touched many people and drew them to Christ. this is part of the problem of the modern church. so educated and sophistocated but not many concecrated. i am all for education i am 2 masters and working on my phd, but i never preach to high that my members that don't have formal education cannot understand what thus saith the Lord.
Only one time in this country has a honorary doctorate been given to someone who has the right to use it and it was benjamin franklin with his contribution to science. see wikipedia and type in honorary doctorate for more info!

@cdesha1118 -God does not require a preacher to be educated to preach His Word, nothing wrong with any preacher being educated in todays world but it is not mandatory for when God qualifies one, you are qualified without a doubt.
Are you serious? All of the old men got it from Jasper Williams? CL Franklin is 24 years older than Jasper Williams. Read Singing in a strange land and Jasper Williams admits to taking after CL Franklin because his own father Jasper Williams Sr didnt whoop! This is why Jasper Williams Jr preached CL's funeral.

Times have changed. Plain and simple. I happen to be one of those who doesn't need to hear all that whooping ahd hollering. Just teach the word and sit down. The hooping is just show and entertainment as far as I'm concerned.

Some teach,some preach and some do both,but even in teaching the spirit will come.Wether it be teach or preaching,if you're not doing it in such a way that invites the spirit of God to come in and have His way then something is wrong. The spirit gives you POWER,wether you preach or teach. The spirit gives utterance and you can't teach or preach without it. You must understand that not every preacher will whoop when the spirirt comes,but you still must invite Him to come.

Thank you for posting this. I was baptized at Greater J by Rev. Daniels 10 yrs old. I haven't been to my home church in about 15 years. This made me remember why I went to the altar that Sunday. To those arguing about who is best. Yes, Jasper did preach our revivals and we LOVED him, we also LOVED Leo and C.L. The whoop and call was not invented by any of them, it is a southern, country style and we don't trip over who's best. To us, it's just how preaching is done.

Paul preached to the gentiles about their homosexuality! Christ never had to repeal the homosexuality to the jews because it was not an ongoing issue. They had other sins that christ had to address. I got a chance to hear Rev. William Shaw twice and not once did I hear him hoop....and it still touched me. It still caused this great feeling on the inside. Both sermons were absolutely awesome. I have seen different responses that are against the hoop! I dont see anything wrong with the hoop but I also find nothing wrong with someone preaching the word without the hoop. I guess there is something wrong with me. I just love the truth of the Gospel. I am 30 and I enjoy all styles of preaching.

i have had several teacher that taught at accreditted school but they got their degree from school that didn't have all the accreditation that people like to see. a christian university, college or seminary can be accreditted by the US Department of education and still not be fully accreditted. in most cases in the religious community to have a degree worth something it must be from an institution that is accreditted by the Association of Theological Schools

I can tell my good friend. Truth Bible College is accredited by Accredited Commission International which is NOT recognized by the US Department of Education which makes it an unaccredited agency. Thus any colleges or schools accredited by this agency are invalid and their degrees are INVALID!

their degrees are not invalid, they just aren't accredited. they do the required work, but the school doesn't have the accreditation. in most cases it is because of lack of money. fully accreditted school are very expensive. their are some good schools that are not accreditted, that lay persons attend because they don't need a fully accreditted degree like i do.

Go to the national baptist website or southern baptist website..they are requiring pastors who want employment to have ACCREDITED Seminary degrees. If your degree is not accredited, you cant use it! You cant put it on a resume, and will not count towards employment. Going to a seminary that is not accredited, it worthless unless you just want to learn info.

you are right but most of the preachers that have honorary doctorates already have a church, are retired, or on their way to retirement.

by the way just in case anyone thinks that country preacher was not educated those are doctor bars on that robe. it is not a fashion statement.

Just because he has doctor bars doesnt make him a doctor. He probably was given an honorary doctorate. Still he was not a Doctor like Martin Luther King or Henry Lyons. Preachers who get honorary doctorates are not equivalent to those who have earned it!

that is not entirely true. i know preachers who have honorary degrees, and their are excellent expositors.

It is true! Muhammad Ali has a honorary doctorate. Is he a doctor? He received it from Columbia University. What one has achieved academically can never be equated thru some HONORARY DOCTORATE!

in most cases an honorary doctorate is conferred upon a person who has demonstrated a great body of knowledge in a subject, not just to those who donate money to a university. i am a graduate of liberty theological seminary and current student at regent seminary.

Not in most cases. They are awarded to celebrities, presidents, and well to do people. If they had a great body of knowledge in a subject, wouldnt they earn A LEGITIMATE DOCTORATE? Muhammad Ali has a honorary doctorate...what knowledge does he have? So again...since u dont award doctorates, you cant say what most cases are now can you?

No I am just a member. But too many preachers or pastors are calling themselves doctors without being formally educated just so they can feel good about themselves. They are lying about their accomplishments which is sinning. Some preachers buy their degrees online!

your statement is very true. but there are also great preachers and pastors who don't have the money or resources to go to a fully accredited school. that doesn't make them any better or worse than me with my 2 masters from a globally recognized seminary.

I have heard of your seminary and it is accredited by US Board of Education but NOT by the Association of Theological Schools. So thus for some churches, they would not be interested in your application at all just for that fact. However I am sure your education is very valid.

liberty theological is globally recognized if for no other fact than jerry falwell gave his life building the school. it was accredited by ats but falwell and the board fell out. so they parted ways.

Yes Franklin was dangerous & educated but Daniels could preach about an onion & tie it to the text where you could understand it. Not about knowledge or hoopology but anointing destroys the yoke. We may be gifted to preach, without it we are nothing.

Yeah daniels was good. But now...he was so uneducated and would mispronounce words and very country. His grammar was very terrible at times. At best, he is the poor man's CL Franklin. But he could whoop tho and he was very organized in his preaching.

leo daniels was raised in time when many preachers didn't have the resources or the knowledge to earn a degree. for every 1 the was educated there 50 that didn't have a high school education. but God gave them a word that blessed the people of that time. God used him and when God was finished using him he took him home...

I am not saying he was a bad preacher. He was excellent. However note that a uneducated preacher who mispronounces words PROBABLY is not a legit doctor know matter WHAT his robe may indicate!

even though he mispronouced words, he still touched many people and drew them to Christ. this is part of the problem of the modern church. so educated and sophistocated but not many concecrated. i am all for education i am 2 masters and working on my phd, but i never preach to high that my members that don't have formal education cannot understand what thus saith the Lord.

Only one time in this country has a honorary doctorate been given to someone who has the right to use it and it was benjamin franklin with his contribution to science. see wikipedia and type in honorary doctorate for more info!

wikipedia information is put their by its users..i can go in and say the i am one of benjemin franklin's grandchildren. that site has no credibility. agian that is not true. the level of learning might be different, but you cannot say that it is not equal.

@cdesha1118 -God does not require a preacher to be educated to preach His Word, nothing wrong with any preacher being educated in todays world but it is not mandatory for when God qualifies one, you are qualified without a doubt.

Are you serious? All of the old men got it from Jasper Williams? CL Franklin is 24 years older than Jasper Williams. Read Singing in a strange land and Jasper Williams admits to taking after CL Franklin because his own father Jasper Williams Sr didnt whoop! This is why Jasper Williams Jr preached CL's funeral.
