The leaders of the church were responsible for killing and torturing all those ppl not the actual practicers (ppl) the catholics thought that their form of christainity was ther only true form and early forms of baptists, method., presby, etc were considered heratics. This is an awesome cult classic with Barbara Steele and John Richardson. I think the complete movie is somewhere here in Youtube. Much scarier and sicker than most new films.
