NGE = New Game Experience. Basically with no warning SOE changed the entire structure of the game, from a profession based game to a cookie-cutter class system in an attempt to draw in the WoW crowd. They flat out admitted that they didn't care about the current players and knew most of us would leave, thinking that they would get even more players with the new system.
Needless to say they never drew in the WoW crowd and the game is a ghost town now compared to what it used to be.

Yes a few months after launch on Corbantis he showed up at the Coronet Starport, and then around the time this video was made he appeared at a party on Bria.
The guild in this video is Storm Trooper Detachment Epsilon. We were a roleplaying guild on the Bria then Chimera server on Star Wars galaxies. Our guild was probably one of the most disciplined RP guild on in the gmae which gained of alot of respect. Unfourtanitly ST Epsilon disbanded some time ago do to the NGE.
Star Wars Galaxies, you can pretty much guess that they got a bunch of guild members to stand around while they "re-enact" this little event. Would have been nice if you can read what is being said.
On all Youtube videos there is a description to the right. Click on "(more)" to read the whole thing. This happened on Chimaera. As far as we know, ST was the first guild to have the Emperor visit (even if it is via hologram).
I love it when he shows up. I get to go all carebear and kneel and bow and say "yes, my lord" like a billion times. It's great. :)

Ummm...actually SOE DID post an announcement on the web page and it's still available if you search the archive for November 2005...
It's not like I like the NGE or anything...I hate it actually...
