  • Awesome tune by one of my favorite bands..how does the percussionist do those rolls on the tambourine?

  • Actually the tambourine is a brazilian one called : pandeiro. Look for pandeiro vids and you're gonna be amazed!

  • Generally, you get your thumb damp (or sweaty) and then with just the right pressure, you press it on the membrane and slide it around the edge. Instead of gliding smoothly around the edge, your thumb will actually "stutter" around and that makes rolling sound. It takes a lot of practice to get just the right pressure and to keep it consistent as you move your thumb around the edge. Oh, and your thumb has to have just the right amount of moisture on it.

  • Finally found this song, and even doper is that it's on 45. Track is called Muswelhill Run and under the moniker Polyversal Souls. You can find The Jaunt on their Discern/Define album released on quannum. You need it on vinyl, or just mp3?
