I'm not a big comment guy, but quick on the Eve issue: I'm a biker and I hear what some people are saying. I would have told my wife to stay home and let her know that I would love to bike with her around home until she was fully confident and experienced. This trip wasn't for a novice. That said, 3 months away on a dangerous trip is alot to ask, and I like her spirit on the trip. Ewan was happy with her there. The trip did lots of good for UNICEF; it was a risky and small price to pay.

FYI, you all have fallen into their plan of controversy which will keep people watching these vids 4ever, first trip 115 days long, this trip took 85 days...how long of a seperation between loving married folk before nature must be satisfied...ewan learned on the LWR that a happy man is a more focused man and visa versa, this is ewan's deal round, down, and up...he is a smart man!

Nothing against Eve riding with Ewan and Charlie IF EVE COULD RIDE THE WHOLE TRIP and Charlie WASNT THE THIRD WHEEEL! Where is charlies wife? Was she not invited?! Charley is riding by himself when Ewan and Eve are on a love ride. Seems like Olivia had more sense to stay behind.....I dont know....next trip please dont patch in one wife for a week. Made the adventure a little less adventurefull.

I was a Ewan fan when I watched the Long Way Around and I wanted to like him...but the farther I get into this series and a bit of left over sentiment from the last ..... the more of a Tool he seems to me ....Charley rocks ...but Ewan is a bit of a whiner and a bit narcissistic ... compared to Charley

Nevertheless, I really enjoy watching these series.

The sheer fact that Ewan did these journeys makes him more "real" of a rider than a lot of posers out there. Falling off, falling off again, and pressing on is about as real as you can get.

yeah, well, it isn't the North Star (Polaris). It can't be seen from the southern hemisphere -never. Botswana is south of the equator (a good ways), so this star will always be below the horizon.

The moon looks small in this shot because of the videocam focal length. Zoomed in, it would have looked bigger.

But, really, give Evan more credit that that. He's not a dumb guy, and he has been camping out in the wilds for the last few months - I think he knows what the moon looks like.
