Just transcribed these two interviews, so I can put them with the Earthlings DVD, into a little vegan info pack I'm hanging out to family/friends this Christmas. As a vegan already, Earthlings was heavy to watch but so, so imperative. I am amazed at how few people have heard of it and hope to get it out there a little more. This interview was great, he is such an inspirational guy!
@lovetownsend I know right? He has so much confidence and truely believes in what he is saying! He is truely all-insiring and he has also changed my life! After watching "earthlings! I was depressed for days but then desided to do something about it! I am now a vegan and all I have to say to those who don't care is : Karma's a bitch! ;)
haha thats awesome. i had that same dread feeling after watching earthlings like it strikes me even to this day those images but you get back a better feeling when rezising what your doing for the animals by being vegan or vegi.
@lovetownsend Totally! :) It's a conpetely selfless thing to do for the animals because they can never thank us. When people ask me why I am a vegan, I just tell them to watch Earthlings :D
Protein problem in USA?, an old study, unfortunately i cannot remember, conducted by WHO in 1990s says the protein excess excreted from the bodies of Americans is sufficient to cover the deficiencies of all people in Africa. besides there is vegetable protein available.
I´m tryin to say that for human beings it should not be necessary to raise the "are we predators or not"- debate-- there´s plenty of moral and social reasons to live from a vegetarian or vegan diet... but i guess any doctor in the world will suggest (especially if you start in childhood) that it is VITAL to take supplements if you go vegan. best regards
quite the contrary, my friend who just turned vegetarian, her mother was so concerned about the nutrition that she forced her to go ask the doctor, The doctor said, there is no need to worry, i personally recommend my patients to go vegetarian. That made my day :-)
Human mother's milk is less than 6% protein. So, if we don't need much protein at the time when our body is undergoing the most rapid growth in our lives, how much do you think we need at other times? All the essential amino acids required for us to synthesise protein can be obtained from fruit. The future is vegan.
Excellent interview, excellent man ! Thank you Shaun. I am so excited to see Unity !
I always have to wonder why - if a person commits a crime against "one" animal, it is considered cruelty, however when man commits crimes against millions of animals, based on corporate profit, it is accepted.
Shaun is a great interview. I really loved both of these videos and you did an excellent job Whitney. Good questions and discussion between you and Shaun. I also love the backdrop including the faint music of World Fest in the background. Again, thanks!!!!
