  • Absolutely wonderful...as mystically haunting as ever!I used to follow Moving Hearts 30 years ago,and it is heartening to know they sound just as fine,if not finer.Bright Blessings!

  • Haha British Marines in the suggested videos. Cunts.

  • The 'lake of shadows' was a small inn on the coshquinn road outside Derry just inside Co Donegal, i remember walking along the road late in the last centuary and discovering the old ruins of the place just barely intact with the sign and all still there.

    Special song from darker days!

  • Brilliant modern Irish slow air..... This has to be one of my favorite songs of all time. It's just so beautiful and played by the best musicians.

  • Why is it no matter where you go on youtube, there is always some idiot who thinks it clever to try to be offensive? I suppose it's a cry for attention. Little people with a tiny world view. (1brainy-less lad.) Anyway I think it's a beautiful & distinctly Irish piece of music performed by performers at the top of their craft.

  • I can remember the first time I heard Moving Hearts I was blownaway by Keith Donalds Sax solos.

  • this is the first time Ive heard them, very cool!

  • waiting 20 years for moving hearts

  • What a surprise to hear and see this track!

  • In the next comment I'll give my ABC notation of the tune. I've given each part a letter, between *. You'll have to remove these if you want to convert it to staff notation. Moving Hearts play it as follows: ABACABCA'. A' is the same as A, but then played in D instead of C (I hope I got the keys right).

  • we export our music ,our talent and our people. with music like this we will never be far from home. thanks for posting

  • @floydave lol, really, this isn't special, ever heard of Kenny G? Listening to this in Ireland doesn't make it uniquely Irish.

  • @Rayvn7 This is merely an admission of profound musical ignorance, albeit unconsciously made.

  • @Rayvn7 Shush lad.

  • I left My home Ireland 1990 and to hear and find moving hearts again it just second to none, oh god the memories... Im right back there 1980, Im homeward bound thank you

  • does anyone know where I can find the ABC- notification for this wonderful tune?

  • It may be in 5/4, but it sounds so natural and flowing ..

    Great CD/DVD, timeless music.

  • Another famous 5/4 song is: Living in the past, by Jethro Tull-has the best Rhythm Guitar in history on it.

  • @GalaxyHorse Yes but it's by Jethro Tull rather disgusting.

  • amazing just amazing!

  • these guys are perhaps the best example of what true musicianship and music is about...thank you so much for posting this.

I haven't lived in Ireland since I was 18 and this makes me want to move back.

  • Saw them in Kilkenny, they rocked then, and they rock now!

  • Thank you for sharing this classical amazing piece. Has not taken a wrinkle since I saw them in 1982 !

  • An absolute classic! Especially from Ireland. What a performance too, so beautiful, clean smooth, melodic, puts a smile on my face :D Thanks so much for uploading such a piece!

  • Brilliant rendition & the sound quality is excellent too. An amazing band in any decade.

  • Haha I can see myself in the audience! Great gig that night from one of ireland's most influential bands. The quality of musicianship on that stage is just mindblowing!

  • First time I saw Moving hearts was at Woodies in Castleisland in 1981 and they just blew me away. Incredible band then, totally spellbinding now!!

    Thanks for posting Captainautumn1.
