the in tent on the video was to just pull up fast in front so the guy could not run going forward. but the guy on the atv ended up getting hit any ways but you can tell he was not hurt because he was out of site before the cops got out of the truck.

Google "La Loche, Saskatchewan" and you'll see the type of people the local RCMP have to deal with. That being said, intentionally using your vehicle as a weapon is no different than using your gun. It should only be done to protect yourself or others from serious injury or death. In a town of 2300, I'm sure the mounties could have let this guy go and tracked him down later without too much issue.

as an expert eye witness, the GRC RCMP were wrong to ram an ATV at at cost as this was not the least restrictive Measure. The ATV was a vehicle, however if they had been any good at this job, been able to pursued the culprit better.

Even the quad trying to flee doesn't necessarily justify it. But we don't know the whole story here. Maybe it was more serious.

as an expert eye witness, the GRC RCMP were wrong to ram an ATV at at cost as this was not the least restrictive Measure. The ATV was a vehicle, however if they had been any good at this job, been able to pursued the culprit better.

Since ATV's aren't road legal, no helmet, and at 0:20 he sees the RCMP truck and tries to speed off. The RCMP wasen't going to let this on get away! I've seen it so many times, he would have been gone down the road and onto a trail or in a field so fast.

The RCMP driving with undue care and attention speeds onto the school grounds and hit the guy on the quad. The cop should be sued, the force and the government. I hope the guy on the quad is taking legal action on this. The RCMP are getting completely out of hand in Canada.

How many people have been killed as a result of a criminal running from the cops. The cops have patrol cars, radios, some areas a helicopter, informants, etc. It could have been handled differently.

Without knowing the whole story, it's hard to judge, but just because the fellow is on warrant for, say, Mischief, or basic assault, probably doesn't justify ramming the quad (which could potentially kill or grievously harm the people on it). Even the quad trying to flee doesn't necessarily justify it. But we don't know the whole story here. Maybe it was more serious.

Am I seriously missing something here? I see the ATV rider look left and see an incoming vehicle, whereas he is stopped. The rider then floors it forward? The cops got out slowly enough until he started to make a break for it. Also check out the ground quality, this isn't likely the most traction suitable area.The cops also didn't accelerate, they remained at constant speed, they even try to break when they realized how stupid the rider was to try to cross as seen with the forward bucking motion
