  • Awesome take that iPhone 4S bet ur Siri can't do that haa! Lol (sent from my iPhone4)

  • why do this?... not trying to troll or anything i seriously wonder :\ i mean if you went to apple with that idea you could have made... hundreds!

  • That is amazing!

  • @916kyle lol first of all the CDMA iPhone 4 looks 100% like the 4S. 2nd no one said it was an iPhone 4? why would we he be using iphone 4?

  • Dare I say it's fucking amazing?

  • i just created a new spire proxy server, join, its lagfree lrmrg-siri-proxy.bbnow(dot)org/

  • what's the proxy for spire can you give me the proxy please

  • HERE ITS WORKING SEE THE DESCRIPTION OF: /watch?v=Xlmptp2gCuc

  • Im going to ask a question, HOW THE FUCK DO I DO THIS!? :)

  • @vipperboy95 I created a video. /watch?v=cTuhjTvg_pw

  • Don't use s1ri.com

    Get it in cydia,

  • w w w .SIRI4ALL .T K

  • What about the Voice Detection? Does the Iphone detect the voice or does it send the speech untouched to the linux proxy-server and this one detects the voice?

  • When I'm done with downloading Spire from Cydia, what's the next step? I need precis information.

  • what must write at spire to use your proxy..?

  • DOES THIS WORK ON SPIRE???

  • @sfactoruknhjs Most likely, I haven't tested it but if you put your proxy's address in your iPhone when you set it up, it should work how his did in the video.

  • IT GOING TO KILL US ALLL

  • How Do You Set It Up I wanna Do it!

  • awesome :D

  • you can get SPIRE. its a new application on the cydia store that will let you download SIRI onto other iOS5 iproducts

  • @bl0115 I have siri know but i ned a proxy host, do u have one?

  • @EvoLutionaryify WERE ALL GOING TO DIE ON THE SEVENTH MONTH OF 2025 LOL

  • @Plamoni i dont know if you get this question alot but, i have a 4S and a 4, so my question is how can i get siri to my iPhone 4? and i have a iPhone 4S too

  • @omid626 Illegally.

  • iSteve is best!

  • Are running the siri proxy using Linux?

  • @avalonakira it's running on Ubuntu - free download just google it

  • If "I" or a friend create a personal server for H1Siri will it work? And how would I route it to that personal server? I read that xSellize was routing H1Siri to their servers.

  • You're on of those a-holes that never checks their texts! :) nice demo.

  • How do u set it up with your thermostat? Please help i have siri and need this!

  • Can you add functionality to existing iPhone features that siri doesnt handle? Like, for example....rating a song out of 5 stars? How about opening certain apps?

  • i think you can install Siriproxy on the iPhone it self when you already jailbreak it

so.. you don't need computer for the proxy anymore :)

    nice work.

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • @bluefrisky What? You're completely misundertanding what I said, sometimes, it comes a point when, you can seriously freaking do something by yourself. Cars, OK, distance can be pretty long in some cases ; IM, OK, it's useful to chat with people for free & not waste paper. But thermostat? INSIDE your house ?! Are you a fattie that can't get out of your chair to not want to stand up that much? That was my point, and people agree with me mostly, some cases are really ridiculous, like this.

  • @IShogiI what if you were at work and wanted to make sure it was warm/cold on a cold/warm day? instead of having to wait until it heats/cools off you could just check on it from your phone.

  • can you use this on a windows computer

  • If you want siri download it from cydia(dot)myrepospace(dot)com/smolk only iOS 5.0.1

  • 74.5, thats warm!

  • How do you get this??

    SiriN1ght

  • In the time i say the temp to an (i have no) iphone, i could walk to the thermostat and fix it by myself. Talking to devices, and do some coolstuff will take a long long time to integrate!

  • @leonkunst88 Depends how far is you termosthat :D

  • @mayorc haha, yeah that's true, but gett'n the phone out of my pocket, unlock it, speak, and execute, will take a lot more time than walking to and changing the thermostat in an average house ;)

  • bullshit

  • Jesus christ, read your emails!

  • This is so sick. I am going to have fun messing around with this stuff. Thanks for posting all of this info (i followed your link from the siriproxy page). Who cares about its immediate usage, but the educational value it holds.

  • All you're really doing is castrating Siri to a plain old voice recognizer.

  • Awesome hack, but what would be even more awesome is if you could port Siri to Android. As long as you use clean-room reverse engineering, there wouldn't be any copyright issues, as all that would be necessary would be to have it connect to the same server using the same protocol.

  • Great jobs!!

  • Apple has to turn Siri into something like Kinect. With SDK and everything.

  • @abcborgess Unfortunantly, while Microsoft welcomed kinect and WP7 hackers, Apple will probably just ignore them and try to lock them out. Well at least Sony didn't invent siri, or the maker of this video would probably already have a lawsuit

  • Thank to you and your proxy tool, the "hacker/programmer" community is doing all kinds of great things with Siri now. From car starters, light controllers and home automation, playing back specific episodes on a media center, to pulling up status report on network traffic and auditing events. Who knows what people are going to do next.

Thanks for opening up your code on github for everyone to use and innovate!

This reminds me the time when a hacker opened up Kinect.

  • sweet hack

  • Any one noticed that time was 7:45 and the temp inside was 74.5? :D

  • @Rouzzy6 no it wasnt your a dumb ass

  • @MrSethsiPodz yes it was go to 2:28 dont hate bitch

  • How is it connected to the temp?

  • @MrRobertoCohen His thermostat is wifi enabled

  • Amazing work!

  • Not sure what it can do in real world, but it's a nice idea if I can turn my home's light on, heater on, air conditioner on, or off, using Siri.

    It's very interesting and futuristic.

  • can this work on a windows computer?

  • fake and gay

  • @AdzNaz Not fake. You can download his code and do it yourself. And what is with people and things being gay? It's always like "You're gay! Suck my dick!" I don't get it. Creating a proxy server to extend the application of Siri, not gay. Talking about gay things, gay.

  • @AdzNaz stupid and ugly

  • the last part. you never show the temperate change

  • @dekoomers he shows the new (target) temperature, look at left of visor. The big number at right show the actual temperature and it takes several seconds to update.

  • nice at 3:20

  • What Linux distro is that?

  • @greatabe613 The computer screen in the demo is the Terminal app from Mac OS X.

  • OPEN GARAGE!!

  • I got siri to remind me 'when I get to point x' remind me I parked my car at the oorner; and it worked; I got a beep alert; but what I want is for siri to speak to me out loud. "Pardon Sir, remember your car is at".....

  • this is the future...

  • amazing job plamoni, congratz! looking forward to see more hacks..

  • Hey great Job guy, solid reserch...and intergration of technologies. Seriously, A+ work.

  • We are living in the future....

  • celsius or fahrenheit?

  • SAMSUNG GALAXY IS BETTER !

  • @kemi244 what the hell is SAMSUNG GALAXY ?

  • @kemi244 Does your phone has siri or can you download more than 50 million apps to it

  • @kemi244 Samsung does have some great phones like the Nexus and Galaxy S II. But you can't deny that Siri is pretty cool.

  • @biopower4t +1

  • Holy Shit this is awesome. The world will be takin over by robots soon

  • where's the thermostat :P

  • how to do that?

  • Nerd!!!!

  • First was the Knect hacks... now the Siri hacks... I can't wait to see more.

  • This is indeed awesome!

  • This is brilliant, to bad i have the iphone4 not 4s :/

  • cool stuff man keep it up., i hope you think of more amazing ideas for siri

  • hal

  • cool

  • Siri view my crappy video 200k times

  • Then it says "now entering self destruct mode"

  • Comment removed

  • :O

  • You: "Set the thermostat to 72°"

Siri: "One moment while i set the thermostat to 7200°"

    You: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

    ::you die::

  • Siri, go to school for me.

  • You have alot of mail

  • Robots will rulethe world

  • thats awesome...

  • androids has had a speech recognition for years!!!!! why do you have to only use apple like this is new technology

  • Reminds me of the Episode of The Walking Dead in Season 1 when they went to the CDC. The scientist who was there could verbalize commands and the computer would do so. Is this the type of technology we're coming across? And the fact that it is on an affordable device like the iPhone is ridiculous.

  • my ball sack is huge -_-

  • SKYNET!!!!!

  • @NeoxideMolten lmaooooooo

  • or you could do it yourself ....

  • @IShogiI mmmmmmmmmhm

  • @IShogiI True...

  • @IShogiI you're completely missing the point of this demonstration.. if everyone shared your opinion, we'd all be using mailboxes to send out letters to our friends instead of instant messaging. we'd all be walking instead of driving. and we wouldn't have a thermostat to just "do it ourselves". but i guess not everyone is an innovator.

  • @bluefrisky Walking is better than driving

  • can't tell if gay or just nerdy

  • @NeoxideMolten well this has to do with apple so i'm assuming gay....

  • @NeoxideMolten fuck off nobody likes you

  • this just changed everything.

  • You say: Set the thermostat to 72 degrees

Sire: The heater has been set to 172 degrees

  • siri synced with a push to start car. Siri warm up the car for me. The car is warming up.

  • @123qwerty Read the code. Its the iPhone changing the temperature. Don't make stupid assumptions.

  • did you really write this in RUBY? funny, I think I might do a javascript port.

  • Damn u are a genius, not even joking!

  • Lol, I bet apple will steal this idea and implement it like so many others they stole from the homebrew community.

  • Does Siri use Wi-Fi connetction to set the thermostat?

  • This is as fake as iphone car remote app.

  • Mightytaboo, I'm fairly certain he didn't just buy it so he can voice control his thermostat... There is so much potential in this it's crazy. Good job.

  • just tried to find ruby ./start.rb i couldn't find it in frameworks what did i miss?

  • Cool, you bought a $300 phone so it can set your thermostat! Way to go!

  • @MightyTabooTiki try to see the big picture in this one.. in the future we can basically tell siri to open the lights, turn it off, open the door, open the garage door, etc. if it's all linked.

  • @KarlNuevo16 Hate to say it, that technology already exists and has been around for a few years...get with the times bud.

  • @MightyTabooTiki What is this devide called?

  • @LeeBreaux Smart home, look it up.

  • @MightyTabooTiki .....some people don't get the point :D

  • its getting hot in here so siri take off your cover

  • wow! using iphone to set the thermostat

  • error sudo ruby ./start.rb could not load cant find file in directory help plz

  • Siri, release the kraken!

  • @lceus hah:D

  • Really nice job man, you should look into programming home automation stuff like control4 or crestron. If you made an app for control4 that Siri could engage you could program it for 1000's of commands like setting temp, turning lights on setting your alarm, closing your garage door or turning off a tv. Plus could make lots of money doing it.

  • Siri, cook this cake for [subject name here].

  • Can you set it to attack all the niggers?

  • A WHOLE NEWWWW WORLDDDDDD!!!~~

  • Got eror!

  • i can use it to launch nuclear missiles

  • Ruby :) You're my man.

  • Thanks for making it open source!!

  • Skynet ring a bell to anyone?

  • The moment I will be truly amazed is when you can make Siri talk in GLaDOS's voice.

  • i already programmed siri to take over the world...no big deal

  • this video is FAKE he is adjusting the thermostat with a computer or other device, people buy everything these days

  • @123qwerty

Yep, and he went to all that trouble creating that github link in the description just so he could fool you... but you're too smart to fall for that github link aren't you?

  • Oo cool you can change the temperature!!!!

  • i used siri on my dads fiances phone and we would say and ask stupid things like do u like twilight and i hate you and all of siris anwsers were full with humor and attitude

  • Can it make me a sandwich?
