  • Nooo poor birdsland!

  • I had to evacuate this! :( so many fire trucks!

  • THIS WAS MASSIVE U DONT RELISE UNTILL UR 100 m away from it

    :| :| :| :|

  • This fire came so close to us and when we were evacuating the sky was black and all I could hear were sirens and choppers. Thanks so much to the guys and gals in the cfa - I cant express my gratitude for saving our home.

  • i knew this fire was bad when i saw a; sunbury, albury wodonga, new south wales and cranbourne firetrucks racing down burwood highway lol

  • hahah to rite mate

  • i had to evacuate this. it was scary. as we were leaving the house about 15 fire trucks came driving past, firemen were coming to our house yelling at us to get out, it was dark and smoky. just really scary shit.

  • We could see the fire from Monbulk, and as we were coming home into Belgrave, we could see the smoke cloud and the sky was a thick brown.

  • Interesting thing about summer in Victoria 2008/2009, it was below average temperatures for the 3 months of summer, only 10 days over 35 and 5 days over 40.

Out of 3 months it's been a short but hot summer, don't believe the hype about man made climate change, there is more and more evidence the eco freaks are using disasters as an excuse to push there cause and to exstract our hard earned money out of us.

  • i would like to thank the cfa for i live in selby and have allraeady evacuated twice this month....does any one know why thier is ash in the air outside?? i was justousdie and there appears to be a fine ash in the air.

  • we had ask to

i think it was because they were burning off near where I live

  • wooo thanks cfa my house woulda been fucked if it wasnt for yous the fire got to 70 metres from the top of my street :(

  • I'd like to thank the cfa for stoping to fire before it got to my house witch was 400 meters away

  • ilyn

  • I would personally like to thank the CFA and all the firefighters for the amazing work they have done with battling all the fires, in particular the Nixon Road fire. My sister in law and husband live in Belgrave and this fire had us worried due to the close proximity to residential areas. We live in NZ, but with the CFA site we can keep an eye of how things are going. Really appreciate all your great work. Keep it up!! Cheers
