yeah it rained in the morning but it "cleared off" by 10 or 10:30. me and my pops went to the cracker barrell near by and ate breakfast and waited the rain out and sure enough it quit
his performance that day was awwessome to say the least..only one month later he died..it was ironic what my dad said to me the day we were there at QC "one of these days its gonna get 'em, just like jimmy and bobby" i was very upset when i heard that he died..my all time favorite pilot..hes the reason i looked forward to june every year
The 2009 is going to be the best show ever. The Thunderbirds cancelled their show so we planned a ton of other stuff. Then a couple of days ago the Thunderbirds called back and said they were coming. THE AIR SHOW STARTS AT 11:00 AM. WOOOOOO!!!!!!
why? it was just another one of the performance demonstrations. i think it was stationed somewhere in missouri so it wasnt hard for it to make it to the show. but yea i looked at the line up for next month and it looks very promising. kyle franklin will be there in the super waco (cant wait) and my dad is stoked about the possibility of a B-52 being there. but wtf....NO SHOCKWAVE?!?!?!

Yeah, i can remember when and where i found out when he died it was about a half hour after the accident happened. He ment a lot to my dad and i so on August 8th we went to his memorial in West Chicago.
