He is not underrated at all, Opeth plays the biggest metal festivals and they signed with Roadrunner Records.I hate it I liked better when they were a relatively unknown band.

@metaladdict1000 Lemme fix that for you: Ihsahn puts Akerfeldt to shame. While Mikael's no doubt talented, most of the stuff that he writes is really necessary (fact: Opeth's songs are often much too long).

It's just that a lot of them are longer than they really need to be, and end up just kind of dragging on in that "Shit, is this over yet?" kind of way. It almost feels like they're making the songs long just... to be long, and not because they have to be.

The only time an 8 string has blown my mind is Animals As Leaders. That justifies the 8 string. 6 strings are not obsolete, you just cannot come up with something interesting enough to be heavy, so you have to have your extended range so you can do your SUP3R Br00tal CHUGZ!

I love this entire album. Both of Ihsahn's albums are great. But this song is definitely my favorite from this album.
