For what it was.. the PS01 was not a bad car. Its engine was well down compared to the rest, and i followed Alonso and the team fanatically back then. He really put that car in positions it shouldn't have been in some races.
If it werent for Paul Stoddart many teams wouldnt be able to access the engine supplies they had today. I mean the 2002 Asiatech was an old peugeot unit and subsequent cosworths from 03 were still year old models. Nowadays teams get close to factory spec.

@WatanukiF1 Serás tú mejor. Alonso qué culpa tiene de que un periodista lo compare con Senna. Con el debido respeto, pero ha habido más pilotos grandes que Senna. No sé si más grandes. Pero de los que están prácticamente a su nivel Alonso es uno de ellos.
@danialatriste si crees que Alonso está al nivel de Senna es porque no sabes NADA de Formula 1, no conociste a Senna, no lo viste correr, no conociste los MONSTRUOS con los que fue campeón, no sabes nada

Si sé como eran los coches de inconducibles, y los pilotos a los que tuvo que hacer frente como Mansell, Prost, Piquet y de últimos Schumacher. Pero el hecho de que ahora alguien llame "magic" a Alonso no es motivo para atacar al español. De todas formas cuando la gente habla de Senna como el mejor, se olvidan de Fangio, Clark o Stewart. Incluso de Villeneuve.
Still, that was the worst car in the grid. The top cars from the 2001 season were way, way nicer to drive than this one, more smooth and so on, so you can't really compare from this.

wow, great driving.
Interesting to see that those cars seems to have harder springs. Really bumpy and steeringwheels moving alot from bumps.
Todays cars moves more smooth and with less movement.
