  • To DobermansRock...thank you very much for the "welcome". All these years later, it still has great meaning. The same holds true for you...we all thank you for your service and if you were an infantryman, please take advantage (NOW) of any help they offer you regarding PTSD. It's truly an ugly, insidious beast that will continue to do push-ups while you're thinking you're OK. It takes years to rear its head, so please make yourself aware of its potential. It might save your life in the end.

  • Read "Black Virgin Mountain" its a great book about some vets going back to see Vietnam today and enjoying it.

  • This war was so wrong, just like the war in Iraq. US shoudn`t have been there...poor kids.

  • Thanks for the upload. That was great how the movie version of this provided scenes from the era (particularly the intro to NBC's Huntley-Brinkley Report), it's helpful for those of us who wern't alive during the Vietnam War.

  • The best film about the Vietnam War.

  • @Serenabay no problem I thank veterans of all wars they deserve so much respect for laying their lives on the line to fight for our country I plan to join the marines after graduation from high school once again thank you very much for service in 'Nam semper fi

  • @Serenabay I would also like to thank you very much for your service in Vietnam. I am only 15 but I partake in living history shows to help preserve the history of the Vietnam war and teach to show people what it was really like and how bad the homecoming was for you all. Once again thank you very much and welcome home brother

  • I LOVE this film. Shows war for what it really is, just some young boys given a gun a direction in which to fire.

  • to paintballer4life105...Thank you very much for your kind sentiments. It was a most-difficult tour, to be sure. Even after over 42 years of returning from 'Nam, your kindness means a lot...not just for me, but for all of us who served there. Thank you again.

  • Thank you so much for posting this series.

  • My big history test is about Vietnam, so my dad showed me this and I showed it to my history teacher. He loved it. Thanks for uploading.

  • @SerenaBay Im only 17 but I wanna thank you for your service in Vietnam even if you didn't want to go there it must have been horrible over there and to come back to booing crowds wasn't right they didn't see or know what you and your comrades went through in Vietnam so I wanna thank you for your service. Semper fi

  • My DAD passed away recently he was a vet

  • Best movie, gives you a realization of what our men and women go through to shield our country and conserve it's freedom. :)

  • of '82 with my Father and marched down Constitution Ave with the 25th Division. This remains one of the proudest moments of my life...considering I hadn't truly discussed my duty since June 21, '69 when I came home. Please watch Segment 7/9 at 2:30 and watch troops of the 82nd Airborne get news that they're going home. This is the BEST moment in this entire documentary and it is what ALL of us were waiting for. Thank you again for this post. This 11Bulletstopper appreciates it greatly.

  • as a Light-Weapons-Infantryman in '68/'69. Our Area of Operation was NW of Saigon in War Zone C. This pernicious area included The Iron Triangle (COSVN, headquarters for the VC in all of the South), Ho Bo Woods, Bo Loi Woods, The Trapezoid and The Michelin Plantation, to name a few. None were good...The Michelin was occupied by the NVA after making the trek down the "Trail". We couldn't run, couldn't hide and we certainly couldn't make it go away. I attended the dedication of The Wall in Nov

  • royalfool1195...Thank You for posting this incredible series (for some reason, it was temporarily taken off). IF one wants to know what the infantryman's life was like in Vietnam, please watch ENTIRE post. Except for being a POW, we did EVERYTHING, in one way or another, that is represented in this footage. It is remarkable and I remain stunned 43 years later that I and my unit functioned exactly as it is shown throughout. I served with the 1/27 Regiment (Wolfhounds), 25th Infantry Division

  • @SerenaBay No problem

  • @SerenaBay have u toght much about the vietcong/taliban, the part about them blending with the civilians?

  • @SerenaBay Welcome home brother us new vets look up to you guys.

  • Thank you for uploading and people never forget out brave servicemen and women!!
