  • SICK!!

  • we need this chopper in Battlefield 3

  • TRANSFORM! *pew *pew *pew AahhhhhhhH

  • @Kulkulcan88: They have to tilt the nose forward in order to get forward thrust. As they get airspeed, they get some lift from the air moving over and under the rotor disk. It works a lot better than it looks.

  • @MrTmac9k Not the taught, or safest way to get to ETL

  • "*MOVE*, MUTHAFUCKA!"

    "Yessir-!"

  • I used to hear them monsters heading West back to MCAS Miramar from 10 miles away..I ran outside everytime and had to wait 3 minutes...Anyone know where they were coming from?

  • why they have to almost crash the helicopter to takeoff

  • Thats how I play with helicopters haha... end up crashing tho :) I'm thinking should I join the Air Force or not... :\

  • ok ive watch this chopper have a hard take off and chop its own fuel nose off

is this the same crew or is this just a porly designed chopper thats hard to fly???

  • That chuck norris farting with his multi-vector arse :P

  • Only the russians would do that lol

  • and thats why its called the shitter take off

  • They should've used this pilot to Pilot "Blackout" in Transformers. Would've made a great scene or two in Transformers.

This is one of my favorite heli's in my top 3.

  • @eljan81 The helicopter they used for Blackout was a MH-53 from Kirtland AFB and I imagine they used the instructor pilots from there as well. And believe it or not they have rolled and looped 53's before. Back when it was an A model but still pretty badass..

  • ...now that's what I call a high performance takeoff...AKA: Sh^tin' anda gittin'!...I believe Chuck Norris was the pilot...either that or my brother!

  • do you fly this?

you are one lucky lucky b........d!

    thx for reply

  • That is some serious effing lift for the pilot to be able to pitch the nose that steep and not even pull up. My one shitter flight off of LHA 4 to Cherry Point was cool but boring - kind of like riding in a C130. Guess that how you want your shitter rides smooth and uneventful.

  • it was so short

  • Look at the smoke the engines are coughing out! Awesome!

  • OOOOOORAH!!!!

  • done that millions of times...flown a shitter in a force 10 gale which ain't so nice

  • @davidgrahamscott why is it called a shitter?

    it looks awesome to me!

  • @marktimmer2212 Just da jargon us flyboys use!! You'd call it a shitter too if you were flying it!!

  • WFH such a big fan 8-O

  • @knvbpaul no fuck you, its not call of duty. learn what things are in the real life, its not even a pavelow its a ch-53D sea Stallion USMC

  • @macyND its a CH-53E, the Sea Stallion has 2 oval shapes on either side of the fusilage.

  • @gta4ishardcore yeah i caught that, sorry i really didnt pay attention to the helicopter when commenting ha thanks

  • @macyND Close, it's a CH-53E Super Sea Stallion. Look closely, you can see the third engine as it passes over the camera at the end.

  • @FSXMAO i know i caught that AFTER i posted the comment haha

  • @macyND aha, ok

  • @macyND Isn't the Pavelow a modified CH-53?

  • @JammyD2579 in a way yes, the Marine corps and the Army have their own versions, there is alot to explain about both of them so google it or something to find out more about them.

  • @JammyD2579 yes. but its called MH-53. super jolly green gigant :P

  • @ovis86 Nope!! thata a USMC CH53E. Note the 3 turbines, and canted tail boom. The MH 53 only had 2 turbines and a straight tailboom.... besides no Air Force pilot would push the envelope like that.....

  • @mav315 I've seen AFSOC pilots do that back before. Just not that much though

  • @ovis86 NO, the is a USMC CH-53E, the MH-53 is based on the CH-53C/D. Some of these mods like the refueling probe were carried on the Echo model.

  • MH53 pilot power down now!

  • awwww.... not long enough... did you run scared or something as it flew over?

  • I love the sound of 53's.. nothing like standing under one of those birds when its hovering a few feet above your head.. FUCK I love my job!

  • 15 FUCKIN SECONDS! Are you fckun stoooooopid! ffs man

  • You must be gay if that gave you a hard on!

  • amazing that a helicopter of that size and weight can move like that!

  • @HaloToday Same thing with the Hind. That thing is AMAZING to watch.

  • Maybe the tail rotor is canted because when they designed it based on the 53D and increased the main rotor diameter they had to move the main rotor mast forward but they couldnt make the fuselage longer in front cause the machine still had to fit on the same size carrier elevators as the earlier models so to balance they had to cant the tail rotor to get a little vertical component out of it? Just a guess...

  • @retepnhoj2010 here, have some commas ,,,,,,,,

  • @unapro3 sorry I went too fast for you

  • @unapro3 lol

  • LOL - I haven't heard 53's referred as "shitters" in a long time. (HMH-463)

  • @hank1961 Haha, I hear it everyday on the flightline while I finish up my CCID training. (HMHT-302)

  • I ain't flying in nothing where the wings are going faster than the rest of the aircraft!!

  • honey does my bum look big in this

  • Behold, BLACKOUT!

  • Best choppaaa ever!!! What a beast!!!!

  • BillyBob, 3% is right on the money! I was a crewchief on these beauties!

  • i don't like it, i fucking LOVE it!

  • It's Grindor!

  • Those helos are bad as hell!

  • That is definitely a shitter takeoff!!! Fucking sick!!!

  • the reason the nose went down like it did was because of the weight of the pilots balls.

  • @joshlt2002 LMFAO!!!!

  • Nice!

  • why is the tailrotor at such a sharp angle?

  • @BIILYBOB999 With the tail rotor being at such an angle it actually helps to generate lift when at a hover relieving pressure on the main rotor assembly.

  • @snubb76 oh really? cool i learned something new today

  • @BIILYBOB999 common misconception snubb, it is tilted primarily to help give the helicopter a nicer attitude at hover. helis tend to get pushed one direction or the other by the tail rotor due to the lift(horizontally) it creates, the pilot has to correct this by angling the whole helicopter to counter the tail rotors lift. by tilting the tail rotor into the down wash of the main blades, it still does its job, while allowing the heli to sit much more level. it would create 3% of the lift at best

  • @barcode625 I'm an A&P and also a heli pilot. I've been taught, and read, countless times, from many sources, that the TR in a tractor configuration is angled up to produce additional lift. I can't see how it's angle would have any effect on translating tendency or hover attitude. I know that the MR on most helicopters is pre-rigged, or tilted to the side a couple degrees to counter act for translating tendency.

Curious to know where you heard this.

  • @edcoondog straight from the NATOPS manual, esentially the operators manual if you will, the 53E hovers at about 5 degrees left wing up and 8 degrees nose up, the tilted T/R has less side force vector then a normally vertical one, also it does generate a nominal amount of lift to help with the nose up attitude but NATOPS says its less then 5% of the total lift the heli generates. close friend of mine is a 53 mech, he is with the squadron that is currently testing new models equipment on the 53E

  • Was this at the CT Sikorsky manufacturing plant?

  • The pilot is Frank Tefft, the Sikorsky Chief Project Pilot on the CH-53E and a fine TP and engineer. He flew its first flight, and lead the development program and service introduction.

  • He seen the camera man and though 'maybe i can hit him with my blades'.

  • BAD ASS...

  • I can see the pilot's balls from here.

  • 14,482 HP at it's finest...

  • i just love those quick, steep liftoffs...its just sexy

  • HAHA Thats cooooool :D

  • Takeoff procedures:

    Collective: full up

    Nose: 30º nose low

  • The exaust on this thing make it look like it's running on diesel.

  • @superjezz JP-8 IS diesel......

  • @snubb76 kerosene..............

  • @superjezz I was an aircraft engine mechanic for many years in the Army. JP-8 is basically #1 diesel fuel.

  • @snubb76 I know, I was trolling and well. I got you.

  • that is called an" OH SHITTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!" take off It is mostly practiced by very experienced bored pilots

  • one of the greatest helos ever and even amazing piloting am guessing snake eaters

  • 53 is not decommed... if im right there getting a retrofit....

  • thought that was a sea king for a second there..

  • Awesome shot, either I missed something or I am a little bit slow... "shitter takeoff" ??

  • @Orangebike666 53's knickname is a shitter because of the amount of exhaust they leave when they fly.

  • @SKADOODLE Thanks I would have never known.

  • @SKADOODLE I just learned why they are called "shitters" and I am afraid to ask... lol but do the pilots or crew have any nicknames for flying them?

  • @Orangebike666 Idk I fly in Hueys, but everyone in the Marines calls them shitters so I imagine so do the crew.

  • @SKADOODLE I meant does the crew have a nickname for themselves.

  • That's a training take off..

  • cool

  • nice looking helicopter

  • too bad it's decommissioned.

  • @MetalApocalypse999 No it ain't is it fucking top brass twats!

  • @stratagie1 okay. I have no idea what you just said.

  • holy shit

  • thats a beast!!

  • Comment removed

  • and the faggy russians thought their Mil26 was powerful

  • that thing looks strong. like its made to beat your ass!

  • That was HOOOTTTTT !!!!!

  • what a monster machine

  • One of the best lookin choppers ever! =D

What is the difference between an MH-53 and a CH-53?? Any servicemen out there?

  • @bronco8585 i guess the difference is that the ch-53 is only 4 cargo and the mh-53 is also 4 air refuel and combat search and rescue

  • @jayfrans So is the CH-53 Army and Marines or the MH-53 only Marines?? Which is which!?

  • @bronco8585 another great set of vids on here you can find by searching Pave Low, or Last Flight of the Pave Low. there are several and some show the retirement flight from inside the formation. Made me homesick for Hurlbert Field. it amazes me that these birds have been around for forty years. Sad to see them. But I live right near the bone yard here in Tucson, so I can drive by and still see them sitting in mothballs, (tears)

  • @jayfrans CH-53 is common name for the basic chopper. The HH-53 had air to air refuel capability and infared system for rescue. MH-53 was PaveLow that had advanced radar and looks like a duckbill on front of cockpit. MH and HH 53 got a E suffix when they added a third engine. Navy, Marines and Air Force used variations of the 53 but AF retied its fleet in 2007. I worked on the HH and PaveLow in the 80's at 1st Special Ops, Hurlbert, Florida

  • @DrLickensnatch Thanks for the info man. And thanks for your service to our people! =D *Shake your hand* Does the Army have all sorts of choppers for Special Ops? What different choppers are used for Medical missions? Just curious...

  • @bronco8585 I was in the Air Force, 1st Spec Ops Wing so I am not totally familiar with Army birds. Also it was near 30 years ago, lol, We did a joint operation with 82nd Airborne and one of their flight units. They had Blackhawks, which were new at the time, Loachs , (think Blackhawk Down four guys on outriggers) and Cobras. Watched 120 choppers, all kinds and sizes, lift off in unison one day, Heaven roared and ground shook! I thanked God, they weren't coming after me, lol

  • what that just did, is put a little extra spin on the earth

  • In soviet russia, ground takes off the helicopter

  • When the -53E takes off, it stares you down.

  • i guess im the only one that works on these things present day and hates there guts =( yay for being a PC on them (puts gun to head)

  • @whitemotorsportz I loved PCing 53s. I cant wait to get back to it. Everything else afterwards is boring and not challenging. Tell an 18 guy that you got a fly bird with 100 MAFs and they wont believe you

  • Sexiest chopper ever!

  • =O this is colin mcrea.... 0_0

  • MH-53 or CH-53?

  • Do I see three turbines? WEEEEEE!!!

  • lmfao Wonder what happened to the camera man.

  • Mean machine! I love the Pave Low.

  • Sexy man, sexy man

  • that noise reminds me on half life 2 helicopter.. :D

  • A transformer that failed at transforming

  • Damn imagine the air that thing is puttin out with that much collective...

  • That gave me a hard on

  • @XKP69X LMAO!!

  • Thats a quick take off. Easy to get out of that angle in those beauties. Love the CH-53

  • 150 years of engineering evolution! Awesomeness!

  • Remember, As You Take Off Make Sure You Hit Every Pedestrian in Sight.

  • That's a HUGE BITCH!

  • GO USMC!!!!!

  • near the end i thought he was gonna fly into the camera man xD

  • @blazingfiregraff it did,that 's why the video ended

  • Somewhere in this massive collection, of clips you will find a clip of the 53 doing a loop and barrel row, of course pilot and co-pilot only.

  • I want one...

  • looks like half life 2 choppers

  • @skakaleec wat if they are...OOooo :P

  • BALLZ!!BIG BIG BALLZ

  • Woah is the tail designed like that ? I though it was gonna crash.

  • thats about as sketchy as i gets

  • You should see one. there massive.

  • Somebody wants to mowe you down.

  • It's a CH-53e Super Stallion and its massive. about 40 million bucks

  • fake

  • Jolly green giant? More like Giant fucking blue giant.

  • Impresive sight..

  • it stops right when the cameraman gets split in half

  • anybody see the size of that tail rotor?? Oo

  • Comment removed

  • I WANT ONE

  • This clip reminds me of this time I was in a helicopter with a bunch of macho men being loud and provoking the helicopter pilot to do some stunts. When we were flying through the mountain ranges the pilot (a girl) dipped it so we were looking directly at the ground as she manouvered it round cliff faces and the cockpit was silent. Its the scariest shit Ive ever experienced especially when the front of the helicopter is clear.

  • TRANSFORMERS ARE BACK ! RUUUUUUN

  • primitiv and old helikopters,,--2010 WHERE IS THE NEW TECHNOLOGI ???????

  • oooohhh so thats why my heli didnt show up in mw2 when i called it

  • man im weird why did dat turn me on?

  • ch-53

  • wow!

  • I guess General Petreus is the pilot...:)

  • 9 killstreak call in pavelow

  • @youngfishingboy3333 this isnt cod go get a life. o ya this is a ch53 sea stalion

  • why is it i look up real MH-53 video and in the comments is all ways some guy saying something about MW2 (some with real ac-130 videos)

  • ENEMY PAVE LOW INCOMMING!!!!

  • I SAID EASY ON THE STICK!!!

  • @Jake50754 thats what she said.

  • Is written in the qu'ran that the hornet strikes a flea when the moon is full. What this mean, sometimes in desert, mustafa get lonely and seek comfort in lady goat. Is hard when virgins are so far away in the heaven.

  • i'd shit my pants if i were that camera guy

  • unfortunately the camera man didnt survive... =(

  • looks like something out of star wars :P

  • Damn thats a sexy bitch!

  • @Argonath357 Hell YEAH!!!!

  • @Argonath357 exactly what i was gonna say.

  • im gonna eatchoo!!

  • ITS COMING RIGHT FOR US!

  • Wouldn't want to be the camera man! Them choppers are huge!

  • Actually the reason why there's no more footage, is because the Chopper killed the camera crew =]
