I was just as surprised looking at the technique of the lift. I am a little guy but did power lifting (lifting for max weight NOT size). I had always thought (and was taught) to keep you back flat and your feet stable. After seeing this and all the comments I started looking around and found trainers and a few competitions. Red Card - Bar is not lowered till it touches the chest.
Blue Card - The bar moving down towards the chest during the press movement or the arms not fully extending to complete the bench press.
Yellow Card - If the bar becomes motionless on the chest then no heaving or jerking the bar to aid the lift. He didnt even come close to to completing it correcting.

@utewbing The way this guy did it is just all wrong. It's ok to arch your lower back just a little bit off the bench but your ass should never be in the air. Then you are risking back and shoulder injuries...A full body exercise?? Bench press (if done right) works the chest and the triceps, that's it. Google it...

If it were the improper way to do the lift, why would EVERY powerlifter do it just as I described? You need to learn the difference between powerlifting and bodybuilding. They aren't the same thing, and just because both types of lifters call it a bench press does not mean it is conducted the same way for both. Inform yourself before throwing "Google" around, chump.

Red Card - Bar is not lowered till it touches the chest.
Blue Card - The bar moving down towards the chest during the press movement or the arms not fully extending to complete the bench press.
Yellow Card - If the bar becomes motionless on the chest then no heaving or jerking the bar to aid the lift. He didnt even come close to to completing it correcting.
