Jun is ded, but that is because there is no noble team. In truth, bungie made this game simply for the die hard fans who wanted to know about the Reach story as it's mentioned in every halo game. But in the actual story of Reach in the book "Fall of Reach" Is different. in the game noble team spent a week trying to defend reach before they all die. In the Book, Reach fell in a few hours, also not enough characters, but cortanna was already with chief, and a lot of stuff was false in the game.

He and a few other spartans were protecting some orbital platform guns while others protected the platform generators on reach for those guns. Fred was one of the spartans that was with chief he gets his thruster pack shot and getslaunched out into space ONI finds him floating out there later and they changed his name and he trains the first of the new spartan IIIs

If you read Ghosts of Onyx thats where the Spartan III program gets started with Fred having a new name and a promotion to the highest ranking Spartan II that books clearly states thats all after Reach Fell

Ok read the books if you want more back story on how many spartans actually survived but ive read all the halo books and for you that have only played the game heres a spoiler In the books the spartan 3 program wasnt started until years after the spartan 2 program which means that there was only spartan 2s on reach not spartan 3s for reference read The Ghost of Onyx one of the Spartan 2s that was supposedly KIA is the first to train the new spartan 3s thats years after reach has fallen

In my opinion. Halo 1 started as a game. There for books are irrelevant, specially since 343 is now in the picture for producing the next trilogy, unless they change the books to. Im all for the books on the forerunners and some parts of reach etc. But please dont hide behind the books pretending you know everything. Its a game, not a book. this is what happened..... when carter told jun to go with the doctor note that carter said do anything to protect the doctor and then if you do the cheat thing where you to the the doctor's lab there is blood on the floor ... the carter told jun not to let the doctor fall in to cove hands the cove broke into the lab and jun was told to do anything to make sure that this wouldn't happen to jun had to kill the doctor so the cove didn't get the the secret to the earth ....... yeah.........

Ok i just finished the book HALO Fall Of Reach and in the end it explains 'in a Covenant message' that a useful women was captured. "Dr. Halsey" They also mentioned that with her was a demon "Spartan" and that the Spartan gave up his own life to protect the women. The Covenant also mentioned that this was an unusual act for a demon.

@speedysnail842 yet that contradicts the story in halo first strike, Which takes place right after the first halo was destroyed. MC managed to capture a covenant flag ship, went back to reach and found his spartan team (well only a few of them) and also found doctor Halsey. Junn wasn't there, in fact the books and games differ in story. MC and Cortana weren't on reach when it was attacked they didnt go down to the planet till AFTER the ring was destroyed.
Well, I'm pretty sure that is not Jun's body, even though I did not see it. There were other spartans on reach I believe, but anyways, it is likely Jun died because Halsey ends up alone on reach. Jun either dies sometime between at that moment and when he leaves or he leaves and stops protecting Halsey, which would make no sense.

@TheDrew48 I think they intentionally left Jun's death open ended to eventually put him in another spin-off of reach (which prolly wont happen) or maybe a cameo in Halo 4. Now technically speaking, Master Chief was the only Spartan II that had survived but I'm pretty sure that there were still Spartan 3's (Jun, Carter, Emile) that were still alive during the time of Halo 1-3.

I think The master chief we know is Jun. As the master chiefs name is John Spartan 117 and is recovered from Cryo status but the spartans were Noble team. NOTE: Bungie have made a mistake saying reach was set BEFORE halo 1, But the spartan laser and other weapons and features do not appear in Halo 1.

my guess is bungie left it like that on purpose. We are talking about some the smartest game developers ever, and we think that some people believe that they screwed up and Jun was supposed to be dead we just don't know. My guess is he lived longer than Noble 6, but nobody knows how much longer he lived, like all the way up to Halo 4. There is an answer somewhere, until someone finds a different answer then Jun is alive, he may not be in the books but he could've hidden away to stay alive.
id like to say that the spartan bodies you see in the lone wolf mission are randomly generated. So it is probably just coincidence that you happened to find one like jun. If not, its probably just a reference bungie put in there.

Ok read the books if you want more back story on how many spartans actually survived but ive read all the halo books and for you that have only played the game heres a spoiler In the books the spartan 3 program wasnt started until years after the spartan 2 program which means that there was only spartan 2s on reach not spartan 3s for reference read The Ghost of Onyx one of the Spartan 2s that was supposedly KIA is the first to train the new spartan 3s thats years after reach has fallen

@XxRenegadeCiNosxX well thats a possibility considering that in halo CEA (Combat Evolved Anniversary) there were references to her one of wich was a long range body scanner so that in battle they could see how she was doingmedically from a safe point and there was John's long range body scanner there too but there was one difference master chiefs was active but his old teammates said Unknown i may not be 100% correct about this but i believe she is too far away to be detected so you may be right

In my opinion. Halo 1 started as a game. There for books are irrelevant, specially since 343 is now in the picture for producing the next trilogy, unless they change the books to. Im all for the books on the forerunners and some parts of reach etc. But please dont hide behind the books pretending you know everything. Its a game, not a book. Playing a game is 1 thing, reading about a game is another. Don't do it.

Ok people I know that everyone says Jun dead or not dead. on the last level ( spartan never die) if u walk around the pillar with the three Gatling guns (where you first are standing), you'll find a dead spartan that looks just like Jun. my guess is that Noble six n Jun met up and fought to the very end. the book says one thing but the games dose another thing. that's because Bungie didn't really give a crap what happens, they know there not making another halo.

well, you DO remember that from Halo 3, they mentioned that Master Chief was the last spartan alive. Which means Jun HAD to die at some point. Obviously, if you watch RvB, you'd think that Master Chief and Tex (while she has the voice changer on) sound a lot alike, Jun has a weird accent, Master Chief does not. Jun died. this is what happened..... when carter told jun to go with the doctor note that carter said do anything to protect the doctor and then if you do the cheat thing where you to the the doctor's lab there is blood on the floor ... the carter told jun not to let the doctor fall in to cove hands the cove broke into the lab and jun was told to do anything to make sure that this wouldn't happen to jun had to kill the doctor so the cove didn't get the the secret to the earth ....... yeah.........

#1 in reach the pillar of autumn is in a shipyard and is attacked because of precious cargo
in fall of reach the autumn is damaged and flees in space after linda and james die to take out a data crystal
#2 in fall of reach it seems that reach fell inna day in the game it takes a month

Ok i just finished the book HALO Fall Of Reach and in the end it explains 'in a Covenant message' that a useful women was captured. "Dr. Halsey" They also mentioned that with her was a demon "Spartan" and that the Spartan gave up his own life to protect the women. The Covenant also mentioned that this was an unusual act for a demon.

@speedysnail842 yet that contradicts the story in halo first strike, Which takes place right after the first halo was destroyed. MC managed to capture a covenant flag ship, went back to reach and found his spartan team (well only a few of them) and also found doctor Halsey. Junn wasn't there, in fact the books and games differ in story. MC and Cortana weren't on reach when it was attacked they didnt go down to the planet till AFTER the ring was destroyed.

Well, I'm pretty sure that is not Jun's body, even though I did not see it. There were other spartans on reach I believe, but anyways, it is likely Jun died because Halsey ends up alone on reach. Jun either dies sometime between at that moment and when he leaves or he leaves and stops protecting Halsey, which would make no sense.

@TheDrew48 I think they intentionally left Jun's death open ended to eventually put him in another spin-off of reach (which prolly wont happen) or maybe a cameo in Halo 4. Now technically speaking, Master Chief was the only Spartan II that had survived but I'm pretty sure that there were still Spartan 3's (Jun, Carter, Emile) that were still alive during the time of Halo 1-3.

I think The master chief we know is Jun. As the master chiefs name is John Spartan 117 and is recovered from Cryo status but the spartans were Noble team. NOTE: Bungie have made a mistake saying reach was set BEFORE halo 1, But the spartan laser and other weapons and features do not appear in Halo 1.

my guess is bungie left it like that on purpose. We are talking about some the smartest game developers ever, and we think that some people believe that they screwed up and Jun was supposed to be dead we just don't know. My guess is he lived longer than Noble 6, but nobody knows how much longer he lived, like all the way up to Halo 4. There is an answer somewhere, until someone finds a different answer then Jun is alive, he may not be in the books but he could've hidden away to stay alive.
