@billyboy222ify there was only one guard and when he tried to take his gun, the dog quickly started gnawing on his arm, leaving him helpless to do anything.

I think he didnt try using his other arm because he was afraid. All the dogs had a position.

Alright now, the movie is a little cheesy, but it was from the 70's. Everything from the 70's was cheesy. This was a great movie when I was a kid and I still enjoy it!

Doberman Pinschers were the hottest dog of the mid 1970s, and this film made a huge impression on us as kids. We were obsessed with them, and my parents finally caught the fever and bought us one. His name was Muffin, and he was the biggest dobie I've ever seen. He was gigantic, really smart, loving, and absolutely terrifyingly protective of us kids. We never worried when Muff' was around. Absolutely LOVED that dog.

Thanks for the reminder of a great time in my life.

@Sheldonwh Yeah but then soon some irresponsible owners didn't raise the dog properly and in some countries the breed became banned... And comes the stupid myth that Dobermans will turn vicious at 5 years of age.

i have this film on dvd, have loved it as a kid when i saw it as a b movie it was on with the 007 film,man with the golden gun. one of my faves of all time

The lead actor in this, the guy going over the plan in the beginning of the trailer, was the late Byron Mabe. He died in Orlando from lung cancer after years of smoking in '01. He was working on a golf course as a greenskeeper after he said Hollywood blackballed him.

Hahahah I was a kid and I was so afraid specially and the scene when a car hit a dog and other dog catches the money bag and go away .

Great memories today is cheesy but in the past were a blockbuster and fascinting movie. After this movie when I croos with a doberman in the street I almost piss in my pants :D

Im a bit confused by all the jokes and laughter about this movie....

It was rated PG simply due to the fact that back when this movie came

out the Doberman was still considered to be a very dangerous breed.

And was mainly used as Guard Dogs then not as "pets".

And this movie shows the intelligence of the Doberman so I frankly dont

see whats so funny about it...
