  • people do not love disney if they dont apprecaite this!!!

  • good morning good morning to youu ! I sing this song all the time !

  • 6 people are assholes.

  • I saw this once. All that I could keep thinking is "SHUT UP and open the damn park already!! GEEZ!!!"

Disneyland's opening is much better. They let you on Main Street 1/2 hour before the park officially opens and a simple dropping of the rope is it. Clean, no fuss, no muss. They know everyone is really anxious to get in already.

  • @club33az They actually do it at Disney to echo the way Walt first opened the park on opening day, with a rope. If they had a higher volume of crowds in the morning they would also do a show; however it's quaint and more classic to do the rope there.

In WDW, the show has a special magic because it's big and grand and wonderful. You're not missing any park time by watching it; it's on 10 minutes before park opening and finishes right as it opens. It's pretty perfect.

  • Woops...we had a reservation for breakfast. They let you in around the side if you eating in one of the restaurants..she thought I was trying to cut the line..

  • This looks nice, but the crowds are ridiculous. I had some cranky bitch yell at me because we had a res

  • "ah heres the gang. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald.......Cruella DeVil??

  • it happens in every park only its diffrent

  • haha! if i go next month i want to see this!

of course everyone will be going to space mountain, which was my first plan until i saw everyone who commented would do it too so im sure that is the most popular ride. 0.o

  • does anyone know where i can download this song?

  • Yes if you look on youtube its called the Magic Kingdom Welcome Melody has the welcome and the trolly show

  • Which one?

  • Im going back in november and I always love watching this..it makes me cry somethime cuz im so happy i love there

  • This would creep me out!

  • How sad that some people have no soul.

Making the Park opening a special event is wonderful.

  • I would'nt I think it would be fun. You'd be making millions happy everyday. Making other people smile makes me and my heart smile :)

  • They love it though

  • Who cares if they get bored, its their job. And I'm sure getting paid to sing and dance is more fun then other jobs people have to do EVERYDAY.

  • They do that everyday plus the welcome parade i been there they do this in every park its fun

  • yea they play this song before it opens

  • they let you on to main street after this opening ceremony is don but thy just dont let you into anytihing else until the actual open time is

  • They probbably don't let you on to MAIN STREET USA before the park opens anymore because techinically that is part of the park and they are getting it ready for the day and also for security reasons.

BUT HOPEFULLY I'LL BE THERE IN A WEEK TO SEE FOR MYSELF WISH ME LUCK!!!

  • (Cont from below) It was always a big decision what E-Ticket attraction to race to - Splash and Big Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain.

Now matter where they open the park, there is no better MAGIC IN THE WORLD!

    LOVE TO BE THERE!

    Disney Dave

  • Yes, this happens every morning. Noone is let onto Main Street until this ceremony is over and the park opens. Years ago, one could go onto Main Street and have breakfast waiting for the park to open. Everyone gathered at the HUB (the end of Main Street) which was roped off waiting for the characters to arrive and open the Lands. Back them once the ceremony was over, people could race to whatever land had their favorite attraction. (cont) Disney Dave

  • ive always wanted to go to this, like when they first open the gates! i here that ppl like run in and everything! i'd probably go to space mountain first lol cuz the line gets long fast! lol

  • I recommend this to everyone. It brings happy tears to my eyes. A perfect way to start your Disney day!

  • ohh its cute! :D

  • we have 29 weeks left till we go (8th sept 09) i might try and see this hope we get picked to go om the train if not oh well worth the try i'm a bigger kid than my kids lol

  • i went last month and yep they do this...

we get by the entrance right by the speekers...crapped me up!!!

also...i could just remeber me thinking..

"its hot!!!!...open the park...i wanna go on space mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i went there it beautiful nd i only years old

  • I go to WDW every year sumtimes twice and I have never been up that early for the opening ceremony, but this past summer I was on the fishing excursion in 7 seas lagoon and I heard this going on

  • I've there maybe about 5 or 6 times and I have never got there when the doors open either. I'd like to sometime but coming from central time zone it is much easier for me to stay til they close. Maybe in 2 months I will get to the opening at disneyland as I can get up 2 hours earlier easier.

  • Do they still perform when there are morning Extra Magic Hours?

  • I caught the last bit of this show last time I was there. I was running over to get thunder mountain fastpasses, and got to give Mickey a high-five on the way! *.*

  • omg what a hatin ass immature person! this was awesome and im grown i just went for my first time in nov.200 and i was amazed. so that person needs to get over bein mad. they probably have never been anyways!

  • ur a dumbass

  • the kids will love this, do you not remember disney as a child?

  • well, obviously, somebody was not loved enough as a child. its sad to see how society has gone no where, there are still retards as yourself. YAWN.

  • My plan is to head straight to Space Mountain as soon as the gate is open. Of course, I do

    know about the rope thing.

  • dude, you and me both!!! That is like the first thing that I always do when I get to Magic Kingdom!! 2 more days and ill be there!!!!!

  • Well, I already went. They were shooting the Christmas Parade for ABC when we were there.

    I rode Space Mountain.

  • Ahhh, i've said this about Disney World (It is world, right?) so much, but it brings back such nostalgia. I really need to go back.

  • Coming from a former Cast Member, this show DOES NOT happen everyday. It does show most days espically during high season but if you attend during slow season, I suggest asking a Cast Member what days they will be doing it. It is really cute and I totally recommand see but always ask before planning on see it and then it not happen. It also does not happen at the same time. If it is Early Morning Extra Magic hours at MK, this show can be performed as early as 6AM. Always ASK! Hope this helps!

  • was is cool being a cast member? i would love to work for disney when i grow up. although probally not one of the cast members actually in the park, i would rather be an imagineer. its what im going to go to college for. well, engineering... but is it hard to become one of the costume people or do you just apply for it?

  • Being a cast memeber has probably been the highlight of my life thus far. I worked at MGM (now Hollywood Studios) on the Backlot Tour and it was great. Its not too hard to become a cast member, for one reason that they need a TON of people to actually make WDW run. But I totally recommend working for Disney, it was really great.

  • thank you so much!

  • I'd try doing it but I'd have to move away from the real winter I get here with snow and I can't stand florida summers. Too hot and humid for me as I like the cold.

  • The cast members are the ones who make it happen. =D

  • i dont think there is a place in the world that pays so much attention to the little details like WDW does

  • does this happen everyday?? I never saw this

  • I believe so.

  • this happens at around 9 a.m. i believe everyday

  • @CopyClerk2007 Yes it happpends every day at 9:00am when the park opens. but only in Magic Kingdom.

  • id be like, i dont care let me in the damn park already!!

  • Such a great way to start the day! I've seen this and it's wonderful!

  • at what time that happens, i've been there a couple of times, neves seen it before.

    im going agaid this thu.

    i really wanna see that

  • Never new they even did an opening show !!

Il have to be up early next time !!

  • Former MK cast member...this starts at 8:48am on the nose...gives you time to get into the park, where the ropes drop at 9am into the various lands.

  • ok thanks

  • when is that show starting?

  • The show is Everyday I think. It usually begins about 5 minutes before the park opens.

  • I always try to get up early to make it to the park for opening. That way, I can see this show and ride Space Mountain without much of a wait! :)

  • My fiance and I always get up around 6:30 on Magic Kingdom day whenever we go to Disney World, just to see the show and be first in the park so we can book it over to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder RR!

  • Sweet! I wake up at six and hot foot it over to Space Mountain when the park opens. :)

  • My family and I finally made a Rope Drop ceremony last year. I was determined to get us up, dressed, fed and out the door in time to see one. I wonder if my husband will want to do it again this year? LOL It was a long day, we were there from 9am til 11:40pm. I thought my 8yr old was gonna drop dead, either that or push her 23month old sister out of her stoller. hahaha We all love Disney and we're there from morning til park closing. Got 66 more days til we're there.

  • i can never see this show. :-(

my family never gets up this early. ;-)

  • 1982

  • haha, that first lady is a little scary. She reminds me of Madame Morrible from Wicked

  • Can anyone tell me if this still goes on? Because when I went this summer we went to breakfast at the Contemporary and didnt get there until 15 minutes after the park opened and I didn't even know if they still did this.

  • Yes they still do this. I worked over and the Grand Floridian and whenever I worked in the morning I would hear the opening every morning.

  • ok sweet, your so lucky I would love to hear/see this everyday, me and my friends already have plans to move and work there(hopefully) thanks for the info

  • Wether your staying on site or have a season pass you can see this show. Just make sure you get there a little early before the Magic Kingdom opens.

  • I Love Disney so much. I went with my Parents back in 2004 and my Dad, Mom, and Me got to open the Magic Kingdom. We road on the Train and everything it was so much fun. I was a Disney Cast Member in the Cp Program from September 11th, 2006 until May 11th of this year. I worked QSR at The Grand Floridain at Gasperillia's and Park Operations at Test Track and The Universe Of Energy.

  • wow, lucky, you get to work with disney, and someday, i want to be an imagineer, so are there any percatiouns, or things you need to know when being an imagineer, and plz respond

  • Hi ya! Ya know, I wanna work for Disney, too! Tell me, how long is an employee allowed to work there for? Is there a restriction? And how much does it pay? (NOT THAT I CARE) lol

  • was this when the magic kingdom officoly oppened, or is this everytime it opens in the morning

  • This video is from the opening ceremony each morning.

  • awsome i wish i was there for the grand opening of it.

  • Never stayed on site and always saw this show, so no you don't have to stay on site to see it.....it's awesome tho'

  • wish I lived in Florida! been there once and saving like mad to go back (im from UK) I love Disney so much and im 44yrs old!!! - thanks for showing us a great vid

  • To see this show, you have to be staying on site. Be at the Magic Kingdom no later than 15 minutes before official opening.

  • You do not have to stay on site. Just get in there about 20 minutes before it starts (get to Disney about 30-40 minutes).

  • what time does this actually happen!?

  • me and my brother always try and be first on a ride cause they give u a pass to get on any ride in the park! its like an extra fastpass! we got it at big thunder mountain only cause we sprinted and cut through the stores lol

  • What is this song called?

  • One word: YAY!

  • i never new this.. got to go back now lol

  • omg i've been to disney like over 30 or 40 times and i did'nt know they had an opening!!! i'm excited i'm going next week and i'm gonna wake my parents early this time!!!!!

  • Only Florida has this huh? I never knew that you guys have an opening ceremony?

wow very interesting! I live in California so I don't really know if we have one! :]

  • wow, i've been to walt disney world 17 times and i didnt know they did an opening show. cool!

  • i love this opening

  • Omg,this is cool!! I got goosebumps

  • me to

  • hey what times show?

  • this is done just before magic kingdom opens... it's the opening show. it's awesome just watching it on youtube, but being there is a hundred times better. so worth it. this was my favorite of all 3 parks we went to, and you must stay from when they first open to when they do fireworks at cinderella's castle. sooo lovely. you really do "have a magical day" at this place.

  • right at opening

  • THEY DO THIS? I've never known. Maybe I can force my lazy family to wake up before Noon on our next trip. This is great!

  • Ask a Cast Member! They'll tell you a bunch of other things you can do!

  • 3 times gone to WDW and i have never seen or knew that this parade existed.Actually in no website of progam or anywhere is this show mentioned either officially or unoficially. This is a great discovery for disney fans like me. Thanks

  • I can't believe they have an opening! I NEVER knew and I've been there 16 times in the 21 that I've been alive! Thanks for posting...next time I'll be sure to see it!

  • awe, thats awesome, i've been 3 times, i never got there when it opened, that's cute, brings back wonderful memories (:

  • We were lucky enough to get to open the park like this, brought back a lot of good memories, thanks for posting it.

  • what did you have to do to open the park

  • i have been to WDW 6 times over 11 years and NEVER knew they had an actualy "show" before they opened. During the first part of this vid I thought it was just music and didnt realize they had dancers. THank you for this. also check out my vids, i hve some WDW vids.

  • ilike show it cooooooooooool

  • i would not care i would just want to get in

  • Well the park itself doesn't open for a good 15 minutes after this show so you really would not have anything else to do. The only thing that would be open would be Main Street USA and even then the shops don't have cashiers until those 15 minutes are up anyway.

Soo don't be such a party pooper. The shows are the best part of Disney - the rides really aren't that great, that's for sure, so what are you trying to get into the park to see?

  • we went to the c-o-p first, you can go there first! the show's like 20 minutes long, you could go to the teacups too! lovely time.

  • I LOVE this show :)

  • the parade is the BEST :]

  • you guys that live in the us are so lucky. In the uk our highest coaster ( due to laws ) is 250ft. wish i was there!!!

  • I saw it 2 and i liked it.

  • i love disney! their the best ever. u gotta go to blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon. summit plummet is the best water slide ive ever been on!!!

  • I have just been to Disneyland and it was a blast so I guess the people in this clip are pretty excited. GO TO SPLASH MOUNTAIN IN DISNEYLAND IT WAS SO SO AWESOME!!

  • I was in the park when it opened and it is pretty funny to hear the speakers turning on and playing the entrnace music. It plays all over the park.

  • yess in deed the rocks in the park are speakers

    preety cool

  • I've always wondered how the Magic Kingdom opens. :D

  • Me too.

    Then I saw it. 8D
