  • her voice totaly different compared with Lata, asha, Suman, Geeta Dutt, Suraya,

    you love it or dislike........

nasal voice.....sorry guys........but as a person she was very kind and full with love

  • @paraboy007

Nasal voice was the thing that set her apart from the rest of easily melting burgers..! It requires some certain maturity and age to appreciate her voice. Usually kids dont like her voice but thier appreciation come as they grow old and wise...lol

  • A legendry song by the greatest Punjabi singer Noor Jehan. This song is about the Nair, which flows through Lahore. The most beautiful and romantic place in Lahore. Lahori Munda From New York.

  • @MAYOGARDENS hey paaji sat sri akal, im from uk, 25 yrs old, and love noor jahan songs, but im havin difficulty understanding the chorus, whats does it mean? "Sanu Nair Walai Pul te Bolakay" whats does she mean by "nair" and "pul" thanks

  • @KopSingh1986 Sat sri akal paaji. Nair means 'canal' and pul means ' bridge.'.

  • @MAYOGARDENS LOL, im so stupid, i knew that nair mean canal, but my mind just went blank for some reason ,but i didnt kno pul mean bridge, so meharbahni paaji

  • a randi dressed up is still a randi

  • gant!

  • @spinnersdomain randi don have to randi all the time ,she deserves to be dressed somtimes i guess

  • @spinnersdomain

if your are a muslim than be careful of what you are saying. Quran says: " Verily, those who accuse chaste, unwary, believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter. And for them is a grievous chastisement.."(24:24)

  • @sadiasum82 true, we are in no position to judge others at all.... we should take a look at ourselves before we accuse others

  • what a comfort level at live singing.......beautiful

  • 5 stars

  • look how comfortable she is....this is absolutely brilliant live singing....hats off..!!!!

  • look how comfortable she is.....this is absolutely brilliant live singing....hats off...!!!

  • Allah,s gift to punjabi language....Thats NOOR JEHAN

  • What a beautiful song, and Lady too. Amazing, you have so much talent in Pakistan. Its a pity that I dont speak or understand your language. However from its presentation, one gets a very good idea of its people. I am sure that the meaning is heart breaking.

  • @bready49 many thnx for ur kind words... ;-) there's very few genuine ppl like urself out there... she's basically singing about how her lover called to meet her at the bridge but hasn't turned up yet and now she's questioning why he hasn't come... and she's just documenting her feelings about her love for him etc

  • SINGING LIVE IS HARD AND SHE SINGS WITH PERFECTION AND NO MISTAKES AND ALSO HITS THE HIGH NOTES.NO ONE CAN SING LIKE HER.

  • @privatezib

what a nonsense,.. Noor Jehan is Pakistan's Queen of Mellody

Lata is India's Queen of Melldoy, if Allah wanted this to happen, it happend

Lata have her talents and would be at the same place as she is today with noor jehan staying in India, and same for Noor jehan, don't be prejeduced, Great song, thx for uploading!

  • Noor Jehan a huge wasted talent! Had she remained in India instead of migrating to Pak. in the 1950s, she would have becum an uber-legend. People like Lata & her siblings would have been unknowns 2day. Had she stayed in India which is the perennial power-house of sub-continental entertainment, she would av dueted with Rafi. that would av been a dream team coz both of their amazing voices would av complimented each other. & even in her own right, she was a truly gifted singer.

  • @privatezib what's the point of what if's now? Noor Jehan is Noor Jehan, )and I beg to differ she is not a completely wasted talent) because of her loyalty and love of music itself regardless of the fame it brought her. Noor Jehan is an 'uber-legend' and I feel sorry for those who cannot acknowledge that.

  • She's glowing!

  • Madam i love you.. *Respect*

  • She is KOHINOOR...absolute priceless voice. Here I am sitting in Bangalore on my vacation and listening to this GEM... and loving every second...

  • OMG...my mom loves her this song so mch... so now I do... she says she been awarded as Malka-e-Tranum (queen of melody) and I see indeed she is..Pride of Pakistan

  • lovely song, beatifully sung, guys keep personal stuff out of it, please

  • i like this some but i want to hear this song in wadali brothers' voice.......

can anyone reply me if u find it plz:D.........

  • She is a very talented artist!

  • fat witch

  • @saracen313 ur mistaken, she might look like ur mom, but she is not.

  • @molmks Look like a mom of this donkey? lol!!

He is a complex patient.. hiding his ugly face behind screen and barking. Let him do. If a dog barks in front of a mountain it remains unshakable bcz of its greatness!! and Madam is great!

  • pls share.zia

  • very nice MUSIC WITH MADHOSH

    all the best wishes

  • @hotncool008 there is no such thing as kaffir language

  • @zain4ev2k exactly....the majority of Sufiana Kalaam is in the Punjabi language.... it is one of the most beautiful languages out there... when used politely that is

  • @mkmax247

infact it is expressive language, i.e when u use it politely u feel like flowers r being thrown on u equally when u use it with anger, u feel like u r really being screwed by someone..cheers...its the beauty of this language...i.e its expressive power....

  • @hotncool008 thats a stupid comment. im a muslim and i speak Punjabi. a wonderful language. and music is NOT Haram. The Drum is permissable in Islam, Drums are a Musical Instrument, used to make Music. Saying Music is Haram is just plain stupid.

u can argue using stringed instruments is haram, but u can't say Music is Haram.

  • @RealMusicKing

" BANDAR KYA JANE ADRAK KA SWAD".

  • @Hameshasahi What would be its English equivalent - because I hate to use the word bandar just because his taste is different - liking or not is an individual preference !

  • @bdgogia

True liking or not liking is an individual preference, if you dont like some thing you also dont have any right to derogate it as "RealMusicKing" is doing.

A monkey has less evolved brain/ mental faculties so it cant appreciate the finer things which we humans can like Good Music and ofcourse NoorJahan's songs!!!

Let me add without sounding offensive even a monkey would not react to Noorjahan's songs as RealMusicKing and Zeronamazi are doing.

  • Music is something that has to be enjoyed and not debated. Why do people drag musicians and artists into such dumb issues as nationality, race, quality, etc?? If someone says they love one singer, why do lovers of another singer get insecure? Let's just appreciate the gift of music that God bestowed on all humanity.

  • The Queen of Pakistan was fat, gaudy, & haughty with an annoying voice. But we loved her nevertheless!

  • Yaar pakistanio why are you giving response to stupid comments made by idiot indianz? After all you should know they are INDIANZ...abusive and stupid. Just give negative voting to thier comments and soon thier comments will cease to show up. We dont have to defend or prove anything to these low lives.

  • @RealMusicKing R u sure? lata voice soundz shit,i doubt she cud even get far on American Idol

  • @RealMusicKing Shame on you who brings the issues between Pakistan and india into this comment. Both Noor Jahan and Lata are equally great singers of sub-continent. Infact it was Lata who rose to fame once Noor Jahan left india for Pakistan. But you are biased in your views and a racist guy who is not the MusicKing but a ShamefulKing.

  • The LEGEND

  • awesome awesome vid......

  • it ssssssooooooooooooooo niccceeee

  • kindly open vedeo

  • very nice BABY

  • She had appropriate training, talent n ability to perform any where Live !

  • How gorgeous she's looking...

  • GREAT! excelelnt. classic. thanks.

  • i agreeee

  • it was recorded 1968

  • does anyone know which year this was recorded?

  • @gmwoodworth YES

  • hahha loveee ittt<3

  • Apologies to any Turkish viewers...that was uncalled for and not meant x you can't beat The Whirling Dervishes of Konya

  • I'm Pakistani/Punjabi....this is disgusting.....she can't even sing.

Her Grandaughter is very beautiful though.

  • She can't sing!!!?? Go to Mujhse Pehli Si Mohabbat, watch it, and then tell me she can't sing. Eminently preferable to some wailing Turk

  • Thankfully your views on that are very individual. Hard to see how you can come to that conclusion when the likes of the late M Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar etc have hailed her as "The Melody Queen". You do realise that she started singing in the 1940's (Anmol Ghadi) so this isn't necessarily typical of her style or range. Anyway, you are entitled to your view.

  • By the way, what exactly is it that irks you about this song/singer? I am intrigued.

  • She was a Pakistani Punjabi(like me)...i came to check out her music......that's all.

I think you're getting a bit too aggressive.

  • Apologies if that's how I came across. This is not important enought to get aggressive or upset about. I was just interested in your view and you came to that conclusion. Apologies once again. Friends? Haha

  • @zhdar

OK i've sent you a friend invite!!!

  • I've heard some of her other songs and i actually like them =)

  • that's kool...and sorry bout that no hard feelings lol...

  • grate

  • Wow, what a nice song. these days you will just text ur 'Sunne Mahi" to find out where the heck is he!

  • madam,s expressions awsome

  • so beaitiful :)

one of the bests ı have ever listen, like feiruz.. in turkish it sounds as '' nur cihan '', the light of the universe. She deserves the name. thanks..

  • @leipist34

    You really like this song???

    Why??

I'm Pakistani and i'd much rather listen to Turkish music than this.

    This is an awful song.

  • How can you possibly say it is "awful"? Great tune, wonderfully performed and cheeky lyrics. No, it isn't exactly Ghalib, but light-hearted classic Punjabi film songs have their place.

  • you dont really think that ı suppose; much more ı hope..

this is sweet one, and when ı firstly listen this song just felt upset not to be able to listen before..

ı agree with ızhdar; ı prefer this song and nour jihan instead of lots of turkish popular songs.. this is art; try to feel pls cavegirl..

  • Apologies I didn't mean to sound offensive. I like lots of Turkish culture, especially anything to do with Mevlana. Whirling Dervishes of Konya are mesmerising when seen in the flesh

  • wowza! her voice<3

  • Great song and God Bless Noor Jahan´s soul she was a wonderfull sinder in Punjabi.

  • great....madam looks very cute..

  • She indeed is so cute, so innocent and sweet. God Bless her Soul. :)

  • haanji

  • Queen of the Punjab! No one can replace her!

  • Queen of Pakistan

  • Thats what you say and you're entitled to that! She was a Punjabi and is unmatched in her contributions to Punjabi music and cinema. She was born before we got Pakistan! I can't believe how stuck people are in nationalism...you should perhaps read more about "imagined communities" and roots of modern day "nation state" system. I'm Pakistani too, but I'm proud of my Punjabi background as well.

  • simply...beautifullllllllllllllllll,,great expressions, where nobody can match her,,she definitely is melody queen.

  • I love this song... punjabi romance is the best!

  • she's so cute

  • Majestic. Hun taan nehraan reh gayeean tey naa os taran dey bandey reh gaey.....
