Ok, lady. What kind of love is it towards your husband if it's okay for you not to have your husband at home for a long period of time with the possibility of him not coming back? Do you truly love your husband or is that SGLI that you love the most?
I like how people try and use their/their spouse's service as leverage against those that haven't served when they argue this topic. Truth is, it doesn't matter whether you served or not because this debate goes beyond soldiers' first hand experiences. It's about the big picture. I do not support the war effort in Iraq/Afganistan, and for the record my father (twenty year US Navy veteran, Lone Sailor Award winner) doesn't either.
So, you'd rather your "wonderful father/husband is gone most of the time, just because you think he "loves to serve"? Are you crazy young lady? I'm 57 a 'Nam vet and I belong to a huge network of NCOs and other vets and let me tell you something lil lady, everyone, but a very minute minority, are overwhelmingly voted for Obama because we understand that to support the troops we must end the Iraqi debacle and support a build up of troops in Afganistan where the real enemy(The Taliban) is.
@JstNEarthling Thank u For your service sir. My uncle also Served in veitnam, he passed away a few years back from alcohol abuse, his last words to me on his death bed were "take care of your Mother" if joining the service means doing that then i will.... she is thinking of her children not her own needs she knows if we dont stay there we will get bitch slapped and raped by the taliban thank you:)
@kitchenknifeset Waaaaiiiiitttttttttttttttt! Do not join the service unless it is the Air force or Navy.....and then only if you are so stupid you can't do anything else in this world to support yourself and I can tell by your words that is not true. Whew that was a big sentence. All I'm saying is I joined to keep from the draft so I could choose my MOS....hahaha.......I'll be making a video soon watch for it.
hey lady im a military wife too and we all know its hard....but your pity party didnt make me wanna vote for mccain when i first watched it....i voted for OBAMA
please. the reason i voted for McCain is b/c he was IN FACT worse for the military and ALL US FOREIGN SUPPORT. obama is committed to expanding R&D, focusing on the forgotten war, funding incentives for recruitment and increasing wages...he also gives it a "fresh face" that europeans don't want to hurl at and will actually support on more invasions.
don't worry lady, you're lazy-bones husband will have plenty of places to enforce democracy (think of all the hooligans in darfur). sick bitch
The Iraq War is a lie. American soldiers have given 6x more money to Obama then McCain. American soldiers support Obama NOT McCain. Maybe they know something we don't. Support the troops and vote Obama.
I'm sorry but you are entirely wrong. 84% of the military voted Republican on November 2. Yes Obama won the election but the soldiers overwhelmingly supported McCain.
I would remind you that The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (non-partisan) scored McCain "D" on his voting record and Obama "B". Being "like you" is just not enough. Did you also believe that George W Bush would lead courageously and carefully? You can argue about how "free" the world is but the 10 trillion dollar deficit and worldwide economic recession are pretty objective evidence that it is not more prosperous after 8 years. How good do you think your judgement of leaders is?
Is all you care about the damn military??In this econmic crisis???Most people are worried about the economy thats why we independents are going for Obama..
For all those truly open minded people thinking of voting for Obama watch "Barack Obama Economic Disaster Report Acorn" (in 5 parts). It is a legitimate, factual, and historical look at the mortgage crisis without all the drama of the "other" network news shows. You will see the candidate that supports systems like this that literally set up the middle class to take the fall.
what was the point of this? as an infomercial for John McCain and Palin why not just title it why i support mccain.

what sacrifice??? for what purpose???
your country went to war against irak that has nothing to do with 9/11.
so many iraqis got killed for just a few americans. and for what purpose?? just american dictature.

2.5 million Iraqis are now refugees
at least 200,000 Iraqis are dead. Possibly 500,000.
Obama knew it was a bad idea.
McCain supported the war wholeheartedly.
Iraq was no more a threat to the U.S. than Burma. Are you afraid of Burma?
McCain puts soldiers at risk not to protect the country but to increase the power of rich old men.
