  • Just like the Kerry line line when we used to cross at stations , when running through you threw down one and then get your arm through the one you were picking up. A speed of 10mph was the non stop exchange speed. Great film well done.

  • Another lovely bit of Irish Railway history - there is something very Victorian about the exchange of the staffs - the locos may have changed to diesel, but the method of working the system didn't seem to change for many more decades!
