im level 46 on the chinese server. Yes he's probably a lvl 37 priest and you can only fly around town or in the abyss and some random areas.

lol guys clearly its an opinion based game, nobody is wrong here. if you like wow more, good for you. if you like Aion then alright. me personally im looking forward to Aion like no other. they game looks like it can fufill some of the things wow couldnt achieve as far as the visual aspects, and the fact that ur char doesnt look like a clay animation. but like i said thats just me. this will give a jist of the backround story. it looks intence in this video but gets more awesome as you play the game. i am lvl 25 and deep in the story. and people, you have no idea what this game is like antil you play it so give it a try at some point. i have played a vast amount of mmo's and this is by far, the second best one (wow is not the first)

WoW got so many mythology references and diff stories... Titans, Scourge, Argent Crusade, Blooks, Movie (soon) 5 games. U can't compare WoW lore with AIon story.

And anyways. U don;t understand WoW story because u don't read quests.

I just watched this vid for the first time (despite playing the game for 2 months in china) and everyone is arguing over wow and anime 0_0 the fact of the matter is. this game looks kool when you play it. wow is the single most terrible looking game I have ever had the misfortune of playing, I got to lvl 40 (had no fun) and started to question my sanity (as I was paying for this ^&*# ). also, is wow really banned in china because of violence, lol, what violence? the care bears are more violent.

U have no idea what ur talking about. Crytek is astudia, creators of Cysis and Far Cry. They created 3 game engines, 2 for PC platform and thirs for PS3/XBOx and later also PC. First of them, called Crytek Engine was used in Far Cry, it was created in year of WoW relace and was just bit better then WoW's one. This is the one Aion uses.

Crysis uses Crytek Engine 2, sightly better one.

I'm RP player, i enjoy WoW lore and style, and I think AIon style sux as RP game. kk?

i still want to know if you have played the game at all? i think you are judging it unfairly. i dontknow what the endgame story is but there is a awesome story right in the bigining. i have only got to lvl 25 and have had a hard time questing because the abyss is *&^% awesome. that being said, wow has lore but no story. atleast none that i got to (at lvl 40) and as far as lore go aionis based alot on christan mythology and refrences a lot of other mythologys aswell.

I come into this reading a stupid wow argument. Both games are great concepts, with good back stories. Wow has a good point because it set the MMO standard with Interface and game mechanics, while I tend to appreciate the art in this game more however. I acknowledge wow as an amazing game, I've played it for 4 years and have been endgame since.  I've met great people and done great things in that game, and now it is time to move onto something else. IE: Aion. Bring it on.

U should read on china policy. Any game containing blood/death/bone references is baned here (WoW was for year now and Chineese players are using Kazahstan servers). AIon was relased in CHina = 0 mature content. If u add 3D manga/anima (style for kids) u got game full of 15 yer old kids who play it because it's soooo colorfull...

NCSoft is know from relasing bac MMORPGS. THey are known from Lineage 2 Aion is basicly clone of L2) prolly most fail mmo ever.

There was no plans for relasing Aion in europe, but it faied in Asia and after 2 years they decide to relase it outside of Asia. Guess what? It failed there.

Combat system it's away easier then in WoW, no DoTs and spellrotation u can just spam 1 button or press them in not coordinated order.

PvP is about getting many ppl in one place, PvP about killing big monster, doing nothing by many ppl. No scripted bosses/dungeons, no tactical PvP. AIon lact endgame content, and quests are mostly single-player experience here.

Aion will fail. For sure.

Manga/Anime is NOT solemnly a style made for kids. It's simply the idea of western culture that cartoon = children entertainment, whereas in the eastern world (namely Japan, China, Korea, Tibet etc.) Manga and Anime are used for both adult and youth entertainment.

Maybe China will get better along with Aion than WoW because WoW is "western", whereas Aion is eastern.

Well, if you would lookup a bit more, you would know then NC Soft, creators of Aion, made before 4 MMORPGs. INCLUDING Lineage 2.

All of their games were meant to be great, but sadly, all failed.

Aions was not meant to be relased at Europe. It was designed for asian players, but it failed there (Aion is about 2 yers old in Korea/China, ale Asia WoW servers are still full).

Aion is more expensive then WoW< and lack real story + Endgame Content.

No strategic PvP, no scripted bosses.

you havent played Aion or wow have you? aion has the best pvp, killer story (and i am big on story, hence the reason i dont play wow) and i have been playing it in china and it is hella cheap, compared to wow, and worth the money. now, i have never liked wow (it was to childish for me) but i do acknowledge its greatness, but its time has long since expired. move on. its not to late to try new things, you are still young. in china it is cheap because u play for time u played, not for months/weeks like u do in WoW, but in europe/US u pay for AIon in same way u do for WoW now.
