I don't like the way Filipinos represent the Philippines in their airlines. I've been hearing they treat people rudely and for me that is a HUGE shame. I'm Filipina, but I certainly am not rude. It makes foreigners think that every Filipino is rude and it's not right or fair. Just another reason why I do not like some Filipino attitudes anymore. I don't get them anymore. :(

I flew Mabuhay (Business) class from SFO-MNL several years ago. I'm half Filipino and half Indian, but look more Mexican/Hawaiian. The FA's in the business class on my flight were all female's and very nice looking! One of them was flirting with me through most of the flight... Although it's sad to see that they treat their own Filipino passengers very rudely and disrespect!

I travel extensively due to work. Tried both airlines. And recently Philippine Airlines to Vancouver, Business class was full so had to take economy. The service on PAL was horrible, the crew were rude both ways and the PAL airport staff was the most impolite and unhelpful people. Was surprised as, everywhere else filipinos are extremely friendly and one would expect that from PAL. I noticed that PAL practices double standards on board and on ground. Not all of PAL's flight attendants are rude. I have met some that are so hospitable. I am sure every airline has a few flight attendants that are arrogant.

@Maldita0422 Thats so true.. My parents are F/A's (25 years of service) and I heard the same story from them. Daming bastos at mayayabang na pasahero. They think they're the only passenger in the plane. But not all of them are like that...
@Maldita0422 If you always have this pre judgment then you can never give a fair and excellent customer service to your kababayans. Not all passengers are nice so get over it. But you are still expected to give them excellent customer service every time. That is your job and that is what is expected of you.
They are the reason why you are getting your paycheck. Without passengers, they may be good or bad, you are and can never be an FA. You obviously are very narrow minded and needs re training

Instead of posting bad comments on youtube and degrading our flag carrier, don't you think it would be better to escalate your issues with a supervisor of PAL or customer relations officer? This way we can help PAL's services to improve.

Well, what I don't like w/ PAL is their People. FA's are friendly only w/ foreigners particularly caucasians. Most of their Int'l FA's for US/Canada flight are too old to be an FA. Although I don't believe that FA's are just like maids, I just do hope PAL FA's must change their attitudes. Okay pa ang ibang airline mura pa compare to PAL. If only a new Filipino Airline like Cebu Pacific will offer a full service flight to the US, it would be better kasi 5J's FA are always smiling.

PAL has Filipino FAs, so does Cathay and Emirates,Filipino FAs in Cathay and EK treat people like babies while PAL(domestic) they're just like PASAHERO LANG KAYO HINDI KAMAG-ANAK and some of them are so Tsismosa.
i think cathay pacific has the best on board service...when you fly cathay wherever your destination, they have this impressively diverse flight attendants from different oriental backgrounds, all of them are courteous and polite!
PAL attendant espc. when you fly LA-Manila route, again they are sarcastic...they never perform on board quality service, they never even care much on their passengers,and when a passenger starts to ask something, they start with showing up ATTITUDES! their sarcasms are much very appearing and obvious!
i really don't know why, as i showed this youtube to my brother who happens to be a frequent flyer (province to manila then manila to hk and return), he noticed the same, the FAs of PAL Domestic flights are far better accomodating compared to PAL's International flight. Is it the Ego?

On this video, you can tell that those flight attendants appears to be so VERY FRIENDLY and on their most hospitality only because for sure the person with a camera is a white(caucasian),i noticed that everytime i fly PAL from LA-Manila vice vers..they are so sweet to all whites, but turns sarcastic to all filipinos belongs to passengers in economy class...I now choose Cathay pacific, many of their attendants are filipinas,and they have the sweetest greetings that a passengers would love for.

In case of Philippines, the discrimination that u've mentioned, is perhaps due to, that there're too many domestic helpers from ur country & that these flight attendants therefore developed this condescending attitude towards most of the folks on economy class. With regards to FAs being 'kundoktor ' and Pilot as 'driver' I disagree. Let's all act maturely and put ignorance aside. All jobs from Janitor to CEO are decent because of honest rendition of service. Tell you what, FAs don't need much of skills compare to airline ground office jobs but they are important because they make your flights as comfortable as possible. Learn from this PAL FAs. Yes, many are dissatisfied with your service.

Well I agree to the guy you replied to that everyone isn't perfect, because I've had some issues with some of the popular ones like Singapore or United, but I never complain. All those comfort and tranquility airline ads you see are all TV. We should just face reality the way it is.
I don't understand the accent. it's Filipino and American in between, irritating and no identity at all. I prefer British-accent speaking crews like in Emirates, pure and clear. American or Americanized accent is cheap
They're trying their best to speak English number one they're talking with an American number two it's an international flight number three they're flight attendants who are supposed to learn English. Don't compare Emirates with this because the people they hire at Emirates are all half-breeds from England. Don't you ever wonder why the flight attendants from Emirate ads are all white?

Sure wish all PAL flight attendants are like them or those during PAL's heyday when being a PAL FA was a privilege. So far, SIA still has one of the best in-flight cabin service.
Also, I remember 2006 on my way to Cebu I was in Business Class then one FA asked me if I can transfer to other seat coz the Mayor of Quezon City wants my seat I said NO. And the Mayor even answered his mobile phone while we're about to take off and the crew didn't even say anything. yah! good service hahaha! Oh! and the PAL lounge in Cebu during that time don't have its own toilet and the receptionist were busy texting while talking to customer.

when you book an online ticket, you pay using your credit card right? after confirmation, you just simply print the confirmation because that is already your ticket// your recipt is also your ticket. no need to go to somehere else to get your ticket.

Not accept credit card? Maybe yours only. I never had a problem booking my reservations online, so as my other friends. Obviously when you get a ticket online, you dont have to go to the ticketing office, all you have to do is to print it, and then present it to the check-in counter together with the credit card you used. Your answers are so far fetched! I am glad the PAL FAs treat you that way... BECAUSE YOU FUCKIN DESERVE IT!

@donkeydo69 I agree totally with you. I took Manila to Vancouver only because I thot since filipinos are so friendly in the shopping malls they would be on board too. WAS i WRONG!!! The attendants are rude, sarcastic, lazy and arrogant. But see how they suck up to certain passengers here. Never again on PAL. Its the worst experience anyone would ever have. Its a big difference once you've flown Singapore, Korean or even Malaysian Airlines. Check SKYTRAX. top 10 airlines i dont see PAL ever!!!!

I travel extensively due to work. Tried both airlines. And recently Philippine Airlines to Vancouver, Business class was full so had to take economy. The service on PAL was horrible, the crew were rude both ways and the PAL airport staff was the most impolite and unhelpful people. Was surprised as, everywhere else filipinos are extremely friendly and one would expect that from PAL. I noticed that PAL practices double standards on board and on ground. @Maldita0422 If you always have this pre judgment then you can never give a fair and excellent customer service to your kababayans. Not all passengers are nice so get over it. But you are still expected to give them excellent customer service every time. That is your job and that is what is expected of you.
They are the reason why you are getting your paycheck. Without passengers, they may be good or bad, you are and can never be an FA. You obviously are very narrow minded and needs re training

Well, what I don't like w/ PAL is their People. FA's are friendly only w/ foreigners particularly caucasians. Most of their Int'l FA's for US/Canada flight are too old to be an FA. Although I don't believe that FA's are just like maids, I just do hope PAL FA's must change their attitudes. Okay pa ang ibang airline mura pa compare to PAL. If only a new Filipino Airline like Cebu Pacific will offer a full service flight to the US, it would be better kasi 5J's FA are always smiling.

i think cathay pacific has the best on board service...when you fly cathay wherever your destination, they have this impressively diverse flight attendants from different oriental backgrounds, all of them are courteous and polite!

taking a break from any work is not bad.
But PAL today compared to PAL during 1980s and half 1990s? those days were the best, in terms of PEOPLE, ATTITUDE, and SERVICE.
I like travelling and PAL as my companion, unfortunately other airlines offers far better services with the same price.
I hope PAL will get back to its feet in serving the CUSTOMER SERVICE way.

On this video, you can tell that those flight attendants appears to be so VERY FRIENDLY and on their most hospitality only because for sure the person with a camera is a white(caucasian),i noticed that everytime i fly PAL from LA-Manila vice vers..they are so sweet to all whites, but turns sarcastic to all filipinos belongs to passengers in economy class...I now choose Cathay pacific, many of their attendants are filipinas,and they have the sweetest greetings that a passengers would love for.

In case of Philippines, the discrimination that u've mentioned, is perhaps due to, that there're too many domestic helpers from ur country & that these flight attendants therefore developed this condescending attitude towards most of the folks on economy class. With regards to FAs being 'kundoktor ' and Pilot as 'driver' I disagree. Let's all act maturely and put ignorance aside. All jobs from Janitor to CEO are decent because of honest rendition of service. Tell you what, FAs don't need much of skills compare to airline ground office jobs but they are important because they make your flights as comfortable as possible. Learn from this PAL FAs. Yes, many are dissatisfied with your service.

Also, I remember 2006 on my way to Cebu I was in Business Class then one FA asked me if I can transfer to other seat coz the Mayor of Quezon City wants my seat I said NO. And the Mayor even answered his mobile phone while we're about to take off and the crew didn't even say anything. yah! good service hahaha! Oh! and the PAL lounge in Cebu during that time don't have its own toilet and the receptionist were busy texting while talking to customer.

@ allanist: I am a frequent flyer. Want to get my Mabuhay Miles number and check my mileage? Maybe you are just an exception because I only encountered this once and after this, it went AOK. One fucked up scenario does not make it such a bad airline. I think you deserve it though. I would laugh my shit out if one day you come here complaining that they let you on board the pet hold only.

What is your origin - destination. In other words, where are you starting from and where are you going to stay for a while. With this information, you could go to a travel agent, call an airline, or do some research on the internet. Let us know how you did, amigo.

when you book an online ticket, you pay using your credit card right? after confirmation, you just simply print the confirmation because that is already your ticket// your recipt is also your ticket. no need to go to somehere else to get your ticket.

Not accept credit card? Maybe yours only. I never had a problem booking my reservations online, so as my other friends. Obviously when you get a ticket online, you dont have to go to the ticketing office, all you have to do is to print it, and then present it to the check-in counter together with the credit card you used. Your answers are so far fetched! I am glad the PAL FAs treat you that way... BECAUSE YOU FUCKIN DESERVE IT!

Ano ba akala mo ung ginagawa ng ibang FA sa ibang airline companies? Nakasakay ka na ba sa Southwest airlines? o kaya, Air Canada? At least, ung PAL may formality when they do their job. And you don't even know what the FAs are doing behind the scene sa ibang airline companies.

lol... Pilipino lang naman ung nag lalait ng trabaho ng kapwa nilang pilipino. Nakakahiya. At least, ung mga FA na to, may disenteng trabaho. They should be proud of their job, coz its not easy to be a FA, esp in the Philippines.
