@thebearclawjones Tuneless - well again that is your (belonging to you) opinion. I do find all the notes in all his songs incredibly tuneful. It is not screamed at all, but sung, superbly, and continues to be done so by him to this day. I never lie to myself. I hate liars, and anyone who knows me knows that. I'm also not a "troll" If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Your opinions. Yours alone. I am not alone.

@memorylane1980s Sorry, was a bit harsh. I will remove it, but the guy and his music, were really poor. I live in the same town , and have seen him strutting about.Thinks he's Paul McCartney. Really gets up my nose , as you can see. I'm not the only one, neither.

I like the tune, he looks full of himself but I was too then!:p Music to me is like Lager? there is NONE bad its just that some is nicer than others! would love to see him now though?

@branchenergy i probably know him better than you, but that has nothing to do with his music. It's rubbish, out of tune , and completely ordinary. He just isn't up there. Be honest. He tries to put himself up there with the greats, ( in his radio interviews, that is)and being from Liverpool he had a lot of people to emulate. Didn't make it, most of Liverpool never heard of him.

@bizzo142 That's about the size of it. This song is a trite, 80's over produced maudlin ballad, a one hit wonder sung rather nervously and unconvincingly, which is strange given the "where are they now" arrogance of the singer.

You can bet that Julian Cope and Ian McCulloch screen his calls.

This was Wah!'s first hit single at the end of 1982 with Pete Wylie as usual, but TOTP only showed a snippet of the video during the chart rundown on 03/02/1983 and as we couldnt find a video for it anywhere on YouTube and but this is still a great performance though.
