maybe you have already received it but just haven't noticed the invisible card that it was printed on?? lol kidding aside, what would do you think you would expect from "artists" that in their video, talked about something invisible right in front of them but barely able to explain "it" which made them look like little kids(or retarded) telling a story about their imaginary friend.
i've seen better liars telling how many cars they own with much more convincingness(yup i know its not a real word)
ok i get it that you want them to fullfill their side of things. I mean I would to no matter what I bought and no matter the price, but what we will not agree on which will be similar to a dog chasing it's tale meaning our views will just go round and round is that I know your an artist it's your passion, it's dear to you, its what you do however; you have to step into reality for a sec, and say out loud what you did. You paid a lot of money for air. I mean it's air get it? Thats rediculous.
I fully understand why you're mad and you're totally right about Kickstarter having to be true to what they promised, but I do not understand why James Franco's name is in this? In one interview he said the art that you bought wasn't his so I don't know why you're blaming him?
/watch?v=UPTa5H1tHVk
Plus wouldn't Praxis Art be the one fully responsible for this?
I think the concept of non-visible art is brilliant, too bad they were such a disappointment.
You cannot be serious... Everything in that description was 'non-visible' aka. it doesn't exist. Basically you just got scammed by a bunch of conceptual artists (James Franco name dropped so it looks legit.) You read the concept yourself, either you're actually stupid (which I doubt, since you were smart enough to get publicity and a refund) or this is a stunt or behalf of the project so it gets noticed.
Don't blame Kickstarter, it wasn't Kickstarter's fault at all.
Wow 10,000 dollars on an idea. Because that's really what you paid for an idea if you read the MONA of your art work you have received your product there was never a physical object just the idea that the description conveyed
@jictcaliber That is incorrect. The title card is the collectible, tangible, sellable conceptual art that I purchased. I was guaranteed this and never received it: The owner of this artwork will receive a title card with a description of the piece to be mounted on your wall, and used when explaining the work. You will also get a letter of authentication, and a pdf copy of the catalog! For this category, you will also get invited to the after-party if you are in New York City in November of 2011.
So let me get this straight. You gave 10,000$ to support some artists in exchange for what exactly? Call me a philistine, but whoever came up with this idea is retarded. Non-visible museum? Non-visible art? Art comes from the soul, not some asshole with an arts diploma deciding that air, the shit we breathe, which has been here countless millenniums before you were even a concept in the primordial ooze is art. That is sheer laziness and taking credit for something where credit is far from due.
im sorry but i dont feel bad for you... while you were even reading the description of what you were supposed to be getting i thought to myself "this is a total scam", i do hope you get your money back and hopefully learn from this stupid mistake.
you spent 10k on "art" and expect artists to be responsible and to be on time? wow you need a reality check artists ( for the most part) are by virtue of the work they do irresponsible and irrational and paying 10k for a plaque is just idiocy in the extreme
@99adgil I don't agree with you. It takes a lot of commitment and intelligence to be a professional artist. Aimee simply did business with disorganized artists.
I'm not going to be insulting or anything, but COME ON. The Museum of NON VISIBLE Art?! I know that artsy people are pretentious and have a different agenda to everyone else, but even you folk must realise that this was a bad idea. And to pledge $10000?! Are you crazy?
...you actually fell for that? The description even says "non-visable". It was just air, just make yourself a title card "I willingly bought air for $10,000".
