ok i get it that you want them to fullfill their side of things. You cannot be serious... Everything in that description was 'non-visible' aka. it doesn't exist. Basically you just got scammed by a bunch of conceptual artists (James Franco name dropped so it looks legit.) You read the concept yourself, either you're actually stupid (which I doubt, since you were smart enough to get publicity and a refund) or this is a stunt or behalf of the project so it gets noticed.

Don't blame Kickstarter, it wasn't Kickstarter's fault at all.

I was guaranteed this and never received it: The owner of this artwork will receive a title card with a description of the piece to be mounted on your wall, and used when explaining the work. You will also get a letter of authentication, and a pdf copy of the catalog! For this category, you will also get invited to the after-party if you are in New York City in November of 2011.
