I know that 'the way' will be a bonus track on disc 1, just like rosalita on the hyde park dvd, this was a 'secret'. now i just hope that 'preacher's daughter' will be issued on disc 2 as a hidden bonus track!!!
Darkness on the edge of town is being re-issued around christmas time.little steve has said they have already found dozens of outtakes from darkness and are putting it onto a cd.i really hope this song is one of those outtakes
I have this bootleg on vinyl. It's called "Don't Look Back" Collectors Items 1974-1980. I paid $9.99 back at a record store called Plastic Fantastic in Bryn Mawr, PA. It includes Roulette, Don't Look Back, Tenth Ave Freezeout(slow outtake), Rosalita (acoustic) The Way, Santa Claus (Live75), The Fever, The Promise Live 78.
There are versions out there of the Promise in '76. Email me and I'll try to hook you up.
Hi Moocow. Saw your post and I just had to share that Don't Look Back was my first Bruce record -- from Off the Record in Dearborn. The owner was my best friend's brother, and he slid us some great tickets in the 80's. I wore the grooves out on that record, and I have to admit that seeing and hearing all this on Youtube is astonishing to me. Peace.

I doubt this song was ever played live.

Great upload :-)
This song is called "The Way" and is a leftover from "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" album which was realesed in 1978.
To bad this didn' fit on the album.
This song has never been played live, as long as I know - yeah, I'm pretty sure..
If there ever is going to be a "Track 2", this song has to be on it...

One of his greatest rarities. Music and lips are out of synch. Didn't know he ever performed this live.
