I don't get why people defend PPGZ so much. I watched the whole thing. THE WHOLE THING, and I still don't get it. The villains were more threatening and relatable when they were mostly comedic. Heck, the "HIM wins" episodes made him a lot more intimidating than when PPGZ gave him an entire arc.

Can we all stop agruing, both series are fine in their own right. I grew up loving the original powerpuff girls to the point I still draw them, in high school I was known as the powerpuff girl. Ofcourse I took a liking to anime and when I found out about this I had to watch and it's good in it's own right, different from the original but still good. So I love PPG and PPGZ, who else is with me?

I don't get why people always support Japan no matter what.

As for me, I LOVE anime, I even study to animate, so you can't call me a newbie. But I notice people aren't mature enough to realize that shows aren't all about stories and emotions. Seriousness doesn't mean quality. The original PPG was never meant to be serious, it was a comedy series. Try to realize that before saying that the Japanese version "has more emotions" and also realize you're an idiot with no knowledge when saying that.

@Rethardus I believe I should point out that actually, the PPG original show wasn't meant for kids, but for adults, then the whole cartooning took another level and kids liked it, so they changed most themes, but it was meant for teenagers and pre-adults mostly with a focus on daily work and laughing at kids beating up big monsters.

I actually like the anime alot better than the original. I think its alot more sophisticated in terms of style. Being a big fan of anime Im not surprised that I liked this better. But I think I only liked the original power puff girls when I was a little kid. Now I think the original cartoon is horrible. plus the japanese style animation makes the original look like garbage. but thats just my opinion.

If you think about it, the states aren't much better. I mean you actually make most anime sound like crap when we dub it with english.
