  • lol @ 0:41. Typical Gator gal.

But seriously, I was surprised FSU lost that game. And you did whip us most of the 2000s. But FSU is looking to be a national contender this year. UF seems to be drowning post-Tebow.

  • One accomplishment that Florida havent accomplished yet... Go undefeated and

    win a NC

UM, FSU, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Texas, USC, Nebraska, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Michigan... They accomplished that...

You can talk about all the NC's and Most wins, but until they do that, they can't be truely premier..

  • @y2kentori Dude you are on crack.....you are not less of a national Champion because you lose 1 game. Miami's 1st Title in 1983, they lost the opener to Florida 28-3???? does that make the 83' Championship less than the others.....grow up.

  • @knightguy11

Yes, it does, because another team was better than you that year.

Same thing for UF in 2008. That's why some less-reputable polls put Utah as the champions that year. I agree, since they beat Alabama and TCU and lost to... nobody. Not too shabby.

On the other hand, UF lost to Ole Miss AT HOME. Ole Miss lost to freaking Vanderbilt that year.

Undefeated- no one bested you. One-loss: somebody beat you. You weren't the best week in and week out. Not the same caliber.

  • @encycl07pedia OK....Miami has 3 National Titles........you are a bit skewed in your thinking. Many, many teams have lost a game(LSU, 2) and still won the NC. You must not have ever played a sport to think the way you do. You can lose a game and still be the best in the Nation based on strength of schedule and quality wins, etc.....

  • @encycl07pedia Actually it means that a paticular team was better than you on that paticular day. Ole Miss ended the season killing #8 Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl and beating Arkansas, Auburn, LSU and Miss State. If you had ever played a sport you would know that teams "gel" later in the season sometimes or play games "over their head" at times. Your entire idealology that a team is "less" of a champion with 1 loss is absurd......unless you are a bit cluless.

  • @knightguy11

A team that goes undefeated and wins a national championship is more notable than a team that lost during the season and won a national championship. A true champion knows how to win even if they have a bad game.

To be the best you have to beat the best. You lost to a team that wasn't even the best.

  • @encycl07pedia We all have our opinions....Thats what makes America Great!

  • @encycl07pedia Undefeated seasons are just lucky.Had tennessee had a decent field goal kicker, alabama is not undefeated in 09,if ingram's stripped ball doesn't go through the endzone, auburn isn't undefeated last year.Had tebow not fumbled a simple hand off against ole miss, there undefeated in 08.Has nothing to do with being a ''true champion''.Its basic common sense and logic. For example,do you REALLY believe 81 clemson is better than 08 florida? lol

  • @TheGatorfan93 Yeah. I'm sure luck has nothing to do with getting into a title game either. Luck is a factor in everything. If a team is truly better than another one, like Ole Miss, then luck won't win or lose the game. UF lost. At home. No excuses.

  • @encycl07pedia And im sure you believe the 66 packes could beat the 94 niners as well, right?

  • @TheGatorfan93

I have no idea who/what the 66 packes are. So I can't comment or speculate. Care to try again? All else equal, I think sheer numbers would win, because 94 > 66. But it depends on what you're talking about. I can't translate dumbshit. Maybe you should try English.

  • @encycl07pedia LOL your entire response is about a typo you obviously knew, way to spin there partner.(PACKERS...not packes). And i guess you believe the 1911 florida gators were better than the 1984,1996,2006 and 2008 nc teams?I mean hell, the 1911 gators are the only undefeated team in school history, are they one of the all time greats as well?LMAO!

  • @TheGatorfan93 lol. What kind of moron are you? UF never had a national title in 1984. Not by any recognized/authority sources anyway. They even got their little SEC title taken away for breaking the rules. 1984 UF didn't even go to a bowl game.

And you can't really compare teams teams across that great of a time span. 1911 football and 2008 football are quite different. But as for _one of_ the all-time UF greats, yes, they are.

  • @encycl07pedia Florida was recognized by more sources than byu,its in the books...moron.And as for comparing 1911 to 2008?Fine,but you can't have it both ways. You first say undefeated teams are more ''notable'',then you say ''you can't really compare teams across that great of a tie span''?Well, which is it? lol

  • @TheGatorfan93

Wiki has more sources calling 1984 BYU the champs, but whatever. The highest ranking a respectable poll gave UF was #3. The other had them all the way down at #7. Hell, FSU has more years of titles from bad sources than UF (7), but they only claim 2. UF only claims 3 out of 5.

Freaking UF doesn't recognize retarded sources giving them titles for 1984, 1985. Why should anyone else? Bama and Auburn are better champions the past 2 seasons than any UF championship team.

  • @encycl07pedia Florida had one more selector than byu claiming florida was #1.Sporting news,ny times, and most notably sagarin. And you don't know if those bama and auburn teams could beat florida's nc teams.Compare florida's schedule in 1996,2006,and 2008.And compare them to bama's and auburn's.Bama in 09 and auburn in 09,didn't have even close to as tough of schedule as the gator nc teams.

  • @TheGatorfan93 Sorry. Wasn't UF #1 when Alabama beat UF so badly that Tebow started crying?

Like I said, UF doesn't recognize those 1984-1985 "championships." If you keep using that logic, I'm going to say that the 1996 title went to FSU, 2006 to Boise State, and 2008 to Utah. So I guess UF only has 2 titles, right? Not 3.

2009 Auburn never won a championship, retard.

2009 Alabama's SOS was #2 (Sagarin). None of the UF champ teams had a SOS rank that high. Try again, dumbass.

  • @encycl07pedia ''2009 Auburn never won a campionship,retard''

It was a typo, meant to say 2010.But leave it to a piece of shit scumbag like you,to try to use a typo to make an arguement.

    ''Try again,dumbass''

LOL 2008 florida had the #1 schedule in the country, you were saying shit for brains?

  • @TheGatorfan93 Not according to Sagarin. You do realize that 1 and 9 are REALLY far apart on the keyboard, right? Not to mention digit order. What other bad excuses do you have for being a fucking dumbass? I mean you obviously can't even copy/paste.

Quit pulling "facts" out of your ass and cite your sources, if you actually have any.

  • @encycl07pedia Florida in 2006 and 2008,had the #1 hardest schedule in college football.Check the schedules and compare the ranked opponents, bowl opponents to alabama in 2009.Those are all the sources you need moron. ; )

  • @TheGatorfan93 2008 UF ranked opponents #13 UGA #6 Alabama #5 Oklahoma #15 Miss (L) (49/4 = 12.25 average rank) 2006 UF ranked opps #25 Tennessee #3 LSU #16 Arkansas #2 Ohio State #9 Auburn (L) (55/5 = 11) 2009 Bama ranked opps #10 VT #20 Ole Miss #17 LSU #3 UF #2 Texas (52/5 = 10.4) Try again. Ranks at the time of play mean NOTHING. Alabama had a tougher schedule and more quality wins. Top 25 AND Sagarin say so.
  • @encycl07pedia Beat that bastard with all the facts you can. In the long run it is the only thing that shuts him up. He technically knows nothing about the sport. He googles his facts and uses Bleacher Report which is the worst site to get any facts from.

  • - I see my dawg Fred Taylor was still gettin off

  • janikowski dumbass did the chomp and we beat dat ass for it! lol

  • I remember watching this game at my dad's friend's house- he has a uf-fsu party every year. Over half the people at the party were Noles fans but I was one of the few cheering on UF- I've been a Gator fan since '96 and will never give up.

  • LOL @ :42...

  • busby blows!!!!!!

  • well ever since they started the BCS national Championship game in the 06-07 season the SEC has owned the BCS 1 for LSU 1 for Alabama & 2 for the GATORS well what do you know

  • This game was tense from the start.

  • Go Noles! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State!

  • oh yeah well Gators over the noles 6 in a row

  • @bigwillietheb

Looks like you guys are really missing Dan Mullen right now...

  • @booooooolpusterd That's right! Seminoles Rule and Gators Droooollllll!

  • It's great to be a Florida Gator!

  • do u ever remember a WR named Jack Jackson i thik? he was so friggin fast, whatever happened to him? hope i have his name right, lol.

  • Good for UT, I'm glad they won the conference in 1997. Why so abrasive buddy. I can comment all I want, what is your problem....

  • never gets old watching this drive!!!! Long live Rivalries!

  • LOL at Janikowski's dumbass doing the chomp.

  • I noticed that LOL

  • This was a great year for Florida.

    Go Big Red!

  • GO GATORS!!! what a great game!!!!! the UF-FSU rivalry used to be one of the best and the winner would go play for the national championship!!! EVERYTHING depended on this game.....but that previous guy was right...FSU is gone!!!!

  • This was a great game. FSU winning next year? Anybody can win any given game. Michigan found that out against Apalacha two years ago. But FSU needs about 10 years to rebuild. That school has fallen apart.... athletically and academicly.

  • I let this comment stand because I wanted to be able to re-read it after the game. As predicted, another woodshedding for Bobby Bowden and the noles. It's great to be a Florida Gator!

    xsquid

  • @wagneth Yeah you were right...but at least we got it back this year.

  • @wagneth Amen.

  • @success0287 We won and I marked your word. What happened, did Christian Ponder hurt his knee?

  • truely a phenominal game

  • this was the game freddy t went off i loved this game

    go gators

  • you know the gators lead the series by about 15 wins atleast

and we've beaten you 4 times straight

and the last time you beat us was a blown game.

and were probably gunna make it 5 years straight this year and blow you out AGAIN

  • Well, we actually lead by 12 wins, but close enough LOL.

  • I was there. It was possibly the single loudest UF game I've ever been to.

  • Chomp taunt = Kiss of death

  • lol every time

  • ok ok ok ok ok,that was a fluke....

and who cares if you do it left over right everyone knows wat you are doing

and im not fully an fsu fan,im an lsu and fsu fan so suck it

  • If you're gonna taunt Gator fans with a chomp, do it correctly. Right over left dumbass.

  • i enjoyed it when auburn lost to miss state.

  • Man, UF-FSU rivalry was the shit in the 90's

  • I made this stupid video and I still can't quit watching it. Janikowski isn't the first and he won't be the last to suffer for doing some premature enchompulation!

  • hello Erik Ainge in '06. did he ever beat Florida???

  • In 2004?

  • Clausen was QB then at Tennessee.

  • Nope, he left at 2003' check it homey !

    Ainge 2004-2007

  • oh that's right... Schaffer played half of the game and then Ainge came in late in the 2nd half. my bad.

  • I loved this 1997 FSU team, this game broke my heart. FRED TAYLOR played his heart out and Coach Spurrier did a hell of a job. The only thing that annoys me is listening to Sean McDonough From :30-:39, listen to him, did he hit puberty?

  • hahaha i counted like 4 voice cracks

  • Comment removed

  • that is the most irrelevant comment on this page.

  • well it was a b.s. move what they did to miami.

  • dude cry me a river this is college football there aren't any do overs

  • hahaha i counted like 4 voice cracks

  • i like the score 45-12 haha go gators tim tebow should get the he15man!!!!!!!

  • yup, the gators will chomp on sissy pink UM flamingos and on Tallahassee braves as well!!

  • Ten Years Ago Today.

    Never let them forget!

    Go Gators!

  • sense**

  • Brockalock1 ur right its the loudest stadium in the country thats a fact

  • The Swamp is the loudest place on Earth.

  • thank you wagneth! awesome video GO GATORS!

  • dat was wen fred taylor was raw now he suck

  • how does fred taylor suck?

  • Sean McDonough was play by play and now does Big 10(11) games for ESPN.

  • Does anyone know who the play by play announcer was?

  • Some CBS schmoe.

  • Then, as now, couldn't contain his excitement at what the implications were for helping Meatchicken and the over-rated Little 10 to a split title with Nebraska.

  • Michigan was ranked #1 heading into their bowl game that year. The coaches changed their votes to Nebraska when they found out that Osbourne was coaching his last game. MI deserved that title.

  • I don't agree - Nebraska would have eaten Michigan's lunch that year.

  • If that's the case, then why was Michigan ranked #1 in final coaches' poll before the bowl games (and before Tom Osbourne announced his retirement at the Orange Bowl)? If the coaches thought Nebraska was the true champion, then why didn't they rank Nebraska #1 in the last poll before the bowl games?

  • coaches poll=popularity contest 1 notch about the writer's poll. Nebraska that year was still the monster. They destroyed UT by 30 or almost 40 points in the Orange Bowl that year IIRC.

  • Sean Mcdonough. This was in 1997 when he worked for CBS, now he works for ESPN.

  • I was at this game with my Father(from Michigan) and my sister. Best Game I have ever been too. Back and forth all day long. GO GATORS!!!!

  • GO GATORS!!!

  • man i hated this game

  • 2007 "LSU vs. Florida in Baton Rouge" I can't wait..

  • yup

  • haha yeah how'd that work out for you?

  • rule number 1 : never mock the Gator chomp

  • Fortunately they never learn!

  • That's right...that's right!!!! GO GATORS!!!!!

  • Thad Busby - my favorite FSU quarterback ever! With Thad at the helm for FSU, Florida won its first NC, then scored its greatest home win ever just 11 months later. However, Drew Weatherford is well on his way to going 0-4 against UF, so he might just steal Busby's crown.

  • Oh, to have a RB like Fred Taylor again.

  • Looks like Busby had a receiver open on the out route when he threw that interception.... oh well....

  • ...pure beauty.

  • If Caldwell and Hilliard didn't leave early, UF would have repeated in 1997.

  • not with drunk doug taking snaps

  • that's the greatest game i've ever been to. one of my friends couldn't go and gave me his ticket last minute.

  • I cant stop watching this clip. I never heard a crowd so loud in my life. I remember we wouldnt let the FSU band leave. And we all started to sing the Seminole Song.

  • The best game I ever attended, even more fun than the Sugar Bowl NC win over FSU the previous Jannuary. The loudest I've ever heard the Swamp be in 13 years.

  • this was a harder loss to take than the sugar bowl. jaquez green was a fucking seminole assassin

  • This is the best video ever.
